song: luv(sic) part 4 by nujabes
anime: here itās an advert made by makoto shinkai
A little hastily drawn, but i made a reimagining of Carries coming out to Sully in the style of the 80s AU š they arent running from monsters in this one like they are in the canon version at least, and have a bit more time to chat it out. Of course itās the 80s and Sullyās understanding and word choices might be a bit rough, but heās always a soft place for Carrie to land.
Happy TDoV, you are so loved!
typewriter!
I love the orchestra trying and failing to maintain a straight face throughout
Exactly. These people had to rehearse at least a few times all at once yet when it's nkt their turn to play they still look at that guy with the typewriter as if he was the most fascinating thing they have ever seen.
My husband's wind ensemble played this song when he was in high school! you can do it with normal auxillery percussion, but it's so much more fun if you do it with a real typewriter
now that is a writing mood
they were really like, the only reasonable approach to this piece is to insert a clown at the center of the orchestra
If you're not playing Leroy Anderson's 1953 classic "The Typewriter" with an actual typewriter on stage... why would you even BOTHER?
From wiki
According to the composer himself, as well as other musicians, the typewriter part is difficult because of how fast the typing speed is: even professionalĀ stenographersĀ cannot do it, and only professionalĀ drummersĀ have the necessaryĀ wristĀ flexibility
Between this and Evan Call's "Theme of Violet Evergarden", I wholeheartedly accept the typewriter as an instrument
whoever decided to turn daisy bell into a spooky dookie creepypasta song is fucking evil. that computer was brave enough to sing us a delightful little song and you do THIS to him? thats hatsune mikus grandpa dude. fuck you
Miku family reunion
for today's lucky 10,000, here's the song that OP is talking about
it is genuinely sweet and charming and I'm so glad to have googled it
The meme is funny, but Miku's grandpa (the IBM 7094) actually looked like this:
He took up 2,000+ square feet and helped with NASA's "Saturn" flights.
Look how big and clunky he is. He had to work really hard to sing that song ;_; please appreciate him.
if you want to feel emotions hereās a combination of the IBM704 and Hatsune Miku singing Daisy Bell as a duet
sorry i wanted to draw miku singing with her grandpa š„ŗ
I can't stop thinking about this video I saw of this guy selling his music in what I think is a super cool physical format. Like. Look how cool this is
Lets fight against music monopoly and return to owning phyisical media
I wonder what this machine is named.
Ok this is cool and all but THERE IS AN EMPANADA IN THE MUSIC MACHINE?!?!??!
This is probably the best ukulele playing Iāve ever seen.
Itās always wild when people are amazed by proper Ukulele playing because what they consider āgoodā is whatever mainlanders are attempting to play while asserting some āquirkyā vibe. Ukulele has become trendy on the mainland and people are amazed by what we consider BASIC skills and boring same chord repetition over and over. PLUS malihini donāt even pronounce the name right (what the fuck is a yuu-kuu-lay-lee hahaha).
Here in HawaiŹ»i we are busting it out (like these killer wahines) every day in ways you canāt even imagine. Half my nÄ hoahÄnau play like this!
We stay laughing. These wahines choke deadly.
This must be what surf rock guitarists were trying to emulate in the 60ās. Itās so fucking good.

Hey, everyone. Hereās a simple little guide to your basic mosh pits. Enjoy!
bringing back Naruto Band AU I thinkā¦
I wasnāt expecting much. Maybe Vaderās baritone with hints of melody. I was *not* expecting it to be a masterpiece, what the fuck, this is a million times better than I was expecting and itās unironically really good. Turn on that volume button.
