System AND Tourette’s? It sounds like you spend a lot of time on TikTok

Not respecting triggers is disrespecting traumagenic systems.
We aren't being snowflakes, we've been repeatedly and severely abused.
We were told by 2 other systems that we were weak because all caps sent us into a panic attack. This is absolutely not ok.
Having tourettes and being a system is wild. Sometimes the only way we have any idea who's fronting is because of the types and frequency of tics.
Since I have a platform now, I can say shit n I might get a reblog. Anyway, I wanna broadcast my feelings.
MPD, Multiple Personality Disorder and split-personality are all outdated and rather offensive terms, and saying it is pure misinformation.
Say DID, say Dissociative Identity Disorder, say dissociative disorders, say OSDD, say DDNOS, say systems, say people with systems.
Don't say disassociation, it's dissociation.
Use the right terms. I'm not asking politely, I'm telling you to do it. Use the right name for dissociative disorders, it's not that hard.
Mental health professionals to listen to people with did and osdd

Our View on Endogenic Systems
We don't have a problem with systems that don't remember their trauma, however, when it becomes a community that invalidates traumagenic systems, then we have a problem.
There is a scientific basis for traumagenic systems. It's hard to get anyone, especially mental health professionals, to believe us. We have to deal with stereotypes and many misinformed people. We have to fight to get help.
It isn't uncommon for systems not to know all of their trauma, it's a system doing their job. So we understand that a lot of endos are probably traumagenic, they just don't remember.
However, there is a community surrounding endos. This is the problem. Like we explained above, we're fighting every day for people to listen, and then the endo community says we're wrong when we say trauma is what forms a system. It makes it confusing, and it invalidates everything we're fighting for.
*Note: we know many systems that have had bad interactions with endos, we're only talking about the overall theory above.
Getting Diagnosed with a Dissociative Disorder is Hard
Months ago, we emailed our therapist about our osdd symptoms a few days before our appointment. When we got to there and started talking, she said that we had over researched, and we were self diagnosing. At that point, we just knew we were a system, we wanted her to actually help us figure it out. She said that, because we had looked too into it, Eli (host) was just giving names to their thoughts, there weren't actually alters because she would have known.
Looking back, it's infuriating. Current estimates are that 1-3% of the population has a dissociative disorder. This is the same percentage as red heads or asexuals. For her to say that it is too rare for us to have, is simply untrue. Unfortunately, this is a very common experience for systems. Once you have been dismissed by a mental health professional, it's hard to ever want to talk about it again.
Many therapists are not do not know what osdd is, they know what did is because of the media, but any system will tell you that media representation is incredibly wrong. We have not seen a psychiatrist yet, but we will update about our experience there. Hypothetically, they should know more since they actually diagnose, but you never know.
If you are a singlet, please help us end the stigma. Our asks are open!

DID/OSDD IS AS COMMON AS REDHEADS
OUT OF 100 PEOPLE 1-3 OF THEM COULD HAVE DID/OSDD BECAUSE 1-3% OF PEOPLE HAVE IT
THAT'S MORE THAN SCHIZOPHRENIA
THATS MILLIONS OF PEOPLE
ITS MORE COMMON THAN PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE SO IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU THEY HAVE IT DON'T TELL THEM ITS TOO RARE
THAT'D BE LIKE TELLING MY DAD HE DYES HIS HAIR RED OR MUST BE LOOKING AT IT WRONG BECAUSE IT'S "TOO RARE" TO HAVE RED HAIR
Lots of Love, a frustrated protector ❤
Erika and Clarissa on behalf of the entire system:
THANK YOU
Helping a System Friend, Family Member, or Partner
Here are some things to remember if you have a friend, family member, or your partner is a system.
Every alter is different, treat them as such.
Your relationship with one alter doesn't carry over to another. You have to build a relationship with each alter.
Each alter can have different triggers, always be respectful.
Never, ever, ever trigger a switch without express permission from the system.
Respect that different alters have different boundaries.
Be supportive whether or not they want to fuse alters, or live plural.
Be prepared for littles
All introjects are different; some like talking about their source, others don't.
Ask. Pronouns.
Understand that systems can't always tell you who's fronting.
Here's a quote about dating a system from one of Eli's girlfriends: "In my experience, it can be one of the hardest things to do, but the most rewarding. I love my partner and while there are hard times, knowing that they love me makes everything feel better. We have high and lows like everyone, but we love just the same as everyone else. The hardest part is sometimes when you need your partner, another person maybe fronting, however proper communication and understanding is enough to overcome just about any obstacles faced"
Clarissa: I have never seen something so accurately describe Eli.
Everyone when host asks someone else to front for once:
Eli: Whenever we have to get school work done
Meet Some Frequent Fronters
Below you'll find some information on alters who will be writing here.
Eli: 15, genderfluid, any pronouns, demi (?) bisexual. They love cats and they have two wonderful girlfriends.
Clarissa: 16, currently identifies as female, unknown sexuality, she uses she, they, and neopronouns. She is a protector on top of being a host.
Willow: 15, genderfae, she, they, and some neopronouns, and she's a faerie. She's very sweet, a little hyper, and she loves donuts. Willow also dates one of Eli's partners.
All three of us are pagan witches interestingly enough. Willow and Clarissa are relatively new to the system. We're only a portion of the system. Slowly, you'll get to know everyone.
Welcome!
Hi! We're the Lunar System! We are a currently undiagnosed OSDD 1b system. As of right now, we have about 65 full alters, and about 7 fragments.
We have two hosts, Eli and Clarissa. Some frequent fronters include Willow, Erika, Beatrice, Kai, Jasper, and Beanie.
Feel free to ask us questions about systems or our experiences.
