Sad news…

It seems our Peppi (regular sized rabbit bjd) has been recasted.  COCORIANG has also had their new doll Tobi (as shown here) nearly purchased by a recasting company in China to do the same thing… So anyone reading this, please do not purchase Peppi from these recasters, or support them by selling your authentic doll to them to recast. Just like any other bjd company, many hours and hard work have been put into creating these wonderful dolls. COCORIANG is actually a very small company, run by a husband and wife team in South Korea. This is their livelihood and passion. It would be horrible to witness them struggle or go under because of this saddening act.

That’s so awful! I hope nobody buys the recast and you get lots of support for your original dolls! They are very cute! I hope you have fun at Ldoll! It would be nice if there were a list of people who buy for recasters so they were easier to avoid for artists and legit companies.

Pro-recasts while closing their eyes be like: “But I only buy recasts of limited dolls, and because I hate FL!! I’m not destroying the hobby!1! Prove to me that recasts hurts smaller artists and damages the hobby!!”

It should NOT be a common fear that people will buy your artist doll at Ldoll to recast it either. Like I wonder if pro-recasters have a limit to where they realise they really are going too far? Or are they too busy going #notallrecasters even though they are literally personally funding this!

Sigurd the Mighty Warrior fullset in Barbarian Norse style. It took me a lot of work and more than 1.5 years to finish the set. It was my first experience on metal embossing and making such an elaborate armor, and it took all my skills and knowledge of period armor to create this design. I’ve seen a lot of chainmails, leather armors, worbla armors, etc., but nothing like that in BJD world yet.

Sakita, my friend Sara’s Dollshe Erica Snow. Today Sara came over and she painted her doll in my studio and then we went out to the Lewis River for photos. We scrabbled all over tons of rocks to get these. Her wig is one that I made, and her dress is from Iplehouse.
