Yes, I am a huge Conor Oberst Fan. And while his name was mentioned a few times in connection with Armie's situation, I want to add a few things from a fan's perspective.
Conor was the poster boy of the Emo-scene. Every Emo-Girl/Boy wanted a piece of him. Look at him! And his voice! His music! The thing was, I felt really safe in the Emo-Scene, safe as a human being, safe as a woman.
In 2013 an anonymous woman from North Carolina accussed him of raping her backstage in 2003. First I heard it, it was a shock. I was not a teenager anymore, had a busy life, wasn't really paying attention. And SM hadn't really such an impact on our life. But after 5seconds I was convinced it wasn't true. But the news were everywhere, he had to cancel tours and projects. 👇
His lawyers released statements, trying to show that the accusations were lies. The timeline and locations didn't match...they never met.
Finally, after 7 months the woman admitted she was lying.

To this day, Conor talks a lot about the rape accusations and their impact on his life.

But it changed him. It changed us, his fans.
