It low-key kills me how much y’all hated Lisanna back in the day, like I’ll never forget her being the villain in all these fanfics or the edits of Elfman’s takeover rocking her shit 😭 and FOR WHAT LOL

As someone that loves Nalu she was literally never a threat to them, she’s actually extremely supportive of them??? Here’s her acknowledging their bond by telling Lucy to stay close to Natsu bc he is stronger when he’s around people he loves and trusts.

Obviously Lisanna and Natsu were close when they were little, and she really enjoyed teasing him too but they were also literal children so idk why people felt so weird about they’re wholesome little bond or like it was a threat to Natsu and Lucy’s bond as adults? 😭

ALSO something that I don’t see mentioned is Lisanna probably knew for awhile the kind of bond Lucy and Natsu would grow into because after she “died” and was in Edolas, she met Edolas Lucy before Earthland Lucy… which means she probably already had an idea that Natsu and Lucy would be close. (also further proof that it was always going to nalu in the end, bc in all universes they really do end up together)

At the Grand Magic games when everyone is trying to find someone to partner up with, only for Lucy to end up crashing into Natsu (ultimately pairing them together) and Lisanna giggles. It’s obvious to me that she finds them cute and humorous together. Like she’s a supportive sweetheart and you guys need to be a lot nicer to her character 😂 also Hiro Mashima has literally mentioned at his panels that Lisanna is way too nice of a girl for Natsu and I AGREEEE. Natsu and Lucy‘s banter and chaotic energy together is literally what makes them so great together and a fan favorite, and clearly Lisanna ships it too

Lastly, I’ve also seen people say that they hate her bc she didn’t add anything to the story once she got brought back. Like yes, Hiro Mashima brought her back and didn’t do much for her character BUT that still doesn’t make sense to me for that to be a reason to hate her for that…that seems silly to me

Don’t get me wrong I can understand the frustration of bringing her back bc I do feel like it takes away from the whole point of loss and living with it and how that shaped Elfman, MiraJane, and Natsu (I mean unfortunately Natsu still learns this lesson with Igneel later on so…) but also why can’t yall just be happy that Elfman and MiraJane have their lil sibling back and can be a trio again like DAMN lol

Anyway this is just my perspective, at the end of the day ship who ever you guys want! I was just coming from the perspective of trying to understand why Lisanna always got so much hate and it always felt people just simply didn’t like her bc they viewed her as “competition” towards Lucy but it never gave that 😭 Mashima intentionally never wrote a love triangle between them but somehow the fandom created one anyway 😂

Rest assured Lucy and Natsu have always been okay and Lisanna is doing just fine as well lmao

Fairy Tail collecting so many fucking orphans gets even funnier when you remember literally no other guild does this unless a guild member is related to a young wizard. Blue Pegasus only has Sherria because of Sherry. Sabertooth only got Minerva so young because her dad ran the guild. Having children in your guild, despite not being illegal, is probably seen as child labor. Something usually looked down upon unless it’s a family practice being passed down. Being a mage is a Job, not a causal lifestyle. Fairy Tail just decided “it’s fine if we become their family, right?” And didn’t wait for an answer.

haha something about Layla doing her utmost to avoid having a child because she doesn't want the Heartfilia lineage to continue in case the ancestral mission to open the celestial gate continues to weigh on her offspring. that she's always suspected she can't finalise the job, that her daughter and her daughter's daughter will have to deal with the residual consequences that's been cursed on her to bear. that she hates the idea of pushing this further - the curse must end with her, no matter the cost.

and then she meets Jude who wants a child more than anything, and layla, who's been so oppressed by her lineage's curse, doesn't realise that she's being pressured and persuaded into having one, only for him to give all the parenting responsibilities to layla in name of taking care of business - layla, the woman who loved her future daughter so much that she wanted to spare her the horrors of life. but no, a wonderful baby girl was born, and layla will always resent herself for allowing it to happen. it's why she gave her life for the cause - spent the last of her magic power to end the mission once and for all. Jude stripped her from the freedom of choosing a childless life, but her own life was hers to take. she could of course only hope it would be enough to free her bloodline of the curse (it wasn't, as we saw in the eclipse arc). still, she had to try.
