pruaus modern day where they’re just old tired men who have lived too long to be as upset about everything from the past so just give in to their attractions and desires and try to make it work. not without its problems, not free from their pasts in the slightest, but it only works because they told each other and agreed that they are done caring about what the other did centuries ago and only want to enjoy today and the coming days in relative peace. and it also only works because they don’t live each other or see each other all that often so it keeps the heart yearning and if they start getting upset w each other they can just fuck off from each other for a while. gil calls rod almost every day though.
