Send things about Lestappen, I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH! There are so many Lestappen blogs out there, this is not one and will never be. I do NOT hate the ship, I just don't see the appeal and could never write about them because I wouldn't love doing it. You are free to love the ship and I wouldn't hate that nor hate on you for that.
I love being a fangirl. I love pop music, I love F1 and I love being a fan of drivers who can't stand each other. I love basketball, soccer, football and every sport i can get my hands on. i love being fans of athletes and watching all their old male fans get mad at us. I love shipping, I love fanfics and edits. I love collecting merch and plastering them all over my rooms. I love having Tumblr and blogging about all my interests. I would choose to be a fangirl in every lifetime.
Big 3 of the Nuggets--Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon. Also a lot of Luka and Jok shipping. There's some great fanfic out there on AO3 (sevenandall and schmoesjoe write excellent work for the Nuggets)! For Lustin works with amazing storytelling, check out Mikamichchi!

I've seen the big 3 of the nuggets and thank God I did!! they match each other's freak perfectly!! Luka and Jok are just on a whole other planet dude. they're so cute and amazing.

Another reason people are wary of lustin fans is that a lot of them don’t recognize their own racial biases and get defensive when they are called out.
Here and on twitter, lustins get overly aggressive towards black users who don’t care for it. I’ve literally seen someone get jumped by them on twt after they joked about Austin getting tattoos. They look for drama even when people block and mute them. They have hurled racial slurs at black users here. They pull the reverse racism card if anyone shows concern over a white/white ship dominating the tag of a majority black league. If you look on the profiles of lustin fans, many only exclusively post about only white players/celebrities/characters. One writer on AO3 admitted that they stopped watching Lakers games after Austin’s injury in December.
There are other pairs in the NBA with way more skinship and who have supported each other so much more than lustin has ever had (to give a handful of examples: Josh Hart/Jalen Brunson, Jaren Jackson Jr/Ja Morant, Kevin Durant/Russell Westbrook). But they are black players. The overall message that lustins project appears to be, “I don’t care about black people or the black experience.”

like I've said before, I'm not on nba Twitter so I didn't know these things were happening. i don't watch NBA games much so shipping in that area and sport are completely new to me. I only mentioned them in my posts bc they were all over my fyp and I though they were pretty cute but I honestly did not know there was horrible fans of them being awful to others. I definitely do not want to be grouped in with the racist fans of them.
racism has no place in a black dominated sport. I've recently noticed a lot of weird white girls being upset over Cooper Flagg's new girlfriend and its disgusting. you cannot be a fan of a black dominated sport and be mad its black dominated. every time a white athlete announces a poc partner, the white supremacist get weirdly vocal.
I did look into josh hart and jalen brunson and they are adorable!!! I need to get into more nba rpf but I don't want to be a fake fan bc i don't really watch the sport a whole bunch but I watch enough to know what's going on and I watch the Lakers, mainly. I am excited for the finals tho, I honestly wouldn't be mad about the spurs or the Knicks winning as they're both good teams and im not fans of either of them so I'll be excited about either of them winning.
but back to the main topic, I'll definitely be more careful of which Austin x luka fans I interact for bc i didn't know these things were happening with their fans. I definitely need to educate myself more so thank you for telling me. I can admit my mistakes when I make one.

I'm trying to get back into writing but the worst part about writing is starting it, for me. so I'll def be trying release small fics as soon as I can.
everyone that luka had developed closeness to have all been traded, and so he made sure that this time, there won't be another heartache, so he really told the front office very specifically that he wants austin to stay
my concern is the salary cap. i love bron and i used to want him to take the vet min but with his good playoffs production seems like they won't do it.
but austin has been underpaid since he started so he deserves his money.
it's all a money issue at the end of the day (and it's all business).
i just hope they will pay austin. and i don't want him to leave 😥 that's our homegrown laker
about fics, i am glad you like the fics. i myself am gonna cope with the off season by reading them 🥹
this!! Austin deserves his money so it wouldn't be surprising if he did get traded bc of the salary gap, but at the same time, I dont want him to leave at all. I think there's definitely gonna be a long conversation between the team and Austin that we won't know much about but oh well.
austin is so lively and has dedicated himself to the Lakers bro. to trade him would be a serious mistake that they wouldn't realize until too late. I definitely dont think Rui would have anything good to say if they did trade Austin. Austin is some of the players comfort teammate, they know hes gonna have their backs on and off court so to trade Austin would be a death sentence.
and the Austin x Luka fics are awesome!! I have a great idea for a fic but im so scared its not gonna do great bc I've built my whole profile and content off of F1 that now I feel like the Lukareaves fic wouldn't get great traction and I dont want to write it for nothing.
I've been suffering from writers block for like, a year so for me to want to write it surprising but I don't want to spend hours writing for no reason, yk?
personally don't think they're fckin, yet at least.. I do think this ends in a committed relationship 100%
im kinda in between it. I wouldn't care if they weren't and I wouldn't care if they were. I still love the ship and the content. I love the fanfics and the edits. The great thing about rpf is its fake but you can still enjoy thinking its real and love the ship.
I definitely think Austin is one of the main reasons why Luka has settled more into the Lakers and become more open. im not saying Austin is the only reason, but I definitely think he helped Luka a lot and I love that. I think now, they're a package deal. Luka has made it very clear he doesn't want Austin to go, and im scared to see how he'd react if Austin did get traded lmaoo.
I think they're definitely committed to this....partnership(🤨)...now.
I don't think it's fair to hate on two athletes because of the behavior of their fans 😥 Luka and Austin have got nothing but genuine friendship

But RPF is not real but people just take it too far. I have seen a lot of hate towards Austin. One fan even wished him death and also told their shippers to go di3. So the problematic people are actually their haters.

if u want more nba ships, jalen brunson has a college situationship of doom and despair (josh hart, donte divencenzo, mikal bridges). there's also some other ships that aren't on popular teams but have a lot of chemistry like jaden mcdaniels/naz reid (timberwolves), sga/jdub (thunder), cade cunningham/jalen duren (pistons), paolo banchero/franz wagner (magic)

the reason nba rpfers don’t like l*kar*aves shippers is because they don’t archive lock their fics. RPF posting on twitter with unlocked accounts, to the point that the official l*kers socmed accounts are aware of it. it puts all NBA RPFers at risk, so most of us in the space have a low opinion of LR shippers, regardless of our opinion on the ship itself
ahhh okay, that makes sense. see, im not on Twitter so I didn't know this was going on at all. I mostly just watch their games and the only shipping content I see of them is through Instagram, TikTok or on here.
