Kaneki's story, from start to finish, is drenched in tragedy. From his childhood all the way up to his introduction to parenthood himself, he is put through hell more times than anyone could imagine. The entire story is a tug of war between his many selves, each struggling to gain dominance as his life is thrown into turmoil again and again. The anime gets a lot of crap, and while it isn't on par with the manga, it is still a truly great telling of Kaneki's story.

Ok, so I just started Eden's Zero..first off, wow! Loving it so far! But I have to say, what in the world is with all of these easter eggs/cameos/(dare I say it?) crossovers??? Maybe I'm behind on all of this but can someone tell me why Hiro sprinkled in some fairies???
