I’m not dead, I promise

Hi everyone.

Obviously, it’s been a while since my last post.

A lot of stuff has happened in my life since then.

First and foremost, I’m now a Classics major, preparing for a career in archaeology. I’m also a member of the Classics club, and am set enter Eta Sigma Phi next semester.

Second, I bought a puppy. His name is Cooper, and he’s a four month old foxhound/beagle mix. He keeps me busy.

I’ve actually went on dates with/dated 5 guys since my ex and I broke up.

I’ve officially been diagnosed with temporal lobe seizures, which is why I got Cooper. He’s going to be my alert system. He’s going to be trained to tell when I’m leading up to a seizure and be able to snap me out of it before it happens.

My relationship with my family has deteriorated even further. I no longer speak to/acknowledge my grandparents. I barely talk to my mother and her boyfriend.

I am once again in therapy, just to deal with... all of it.

The hope to start up a youtube channel is still alive, and I’m getting there.

Everything went to shit.

The man I fell in love with left me because he was afraid of commitment, and then got right into bed with some other chick.

We were going to move in together. I was going to escape my shitty family, who won’t even let me get a dog now that Cody’s been dead for months.

All I do every damn is play WoW and watch stuff on youtube.

I have no local friends who can go out drinking or do anything fun.

I just want to be happy again.

I'm Sorry

Hello everyone.

I'm really sorry for not posting/being online on here for what I assume is months now.

I've been extremely busy with college, and stage crew, and dealing with all my psychological problems.

For the past few months, I've had continuing nightmares of my grandmother stroking my face/arms or just her touching me in general. It is genuinely distressing, and I wake up sobbing and screaming every single time.

I've spoken to my psychologist about it, and he doesn't have any ideas yet.

I've also been dealing with crippling loneliness. The kind of loneliness one feels when they're bereft of a solid, stable relationship.

In other words, I've been preoccupied with a lot of stuff that is out of my control, and I find myself without the motivation to post anything.

I don't know what this means for the future of this blog, I really don't.

I'd like to pick it back up some time, but I have no idea when that may be.

Again, I'm sorry.

Oh god I feel awful.

The guy I had that date with, Timothy, asked me out for dinner on friday.

I've never had to break things off with a guy before.

I'm ALWAYS the one on the receiving end; I have no freaking clue how to do this.

So I just texted him back that "I had a lot of fun with you on Saturday, but I'd rather stay online friends. I'm sorry."

You would be surprised with how many people in your life could be going through depression at this very moment.  People hide it like a paper bag over their heads out of fear of being judged, made fun of, seen as weak, or just not taken seriously.  Depression should not be taken lightly, it holds us down from our purpose and potential in life.  Those who tell you that it doesn’t exist have never experienced depression in their life, therefore not understanding the symptoms and how it’s something that cannot be fixed in a day!  So if you think you are depressed or if you think you know someone else who is, please talk to a friend, a family member, or anyone else in your life that you trust - never overlook the possibility of seeing a doctor for more professional help!!  Your feelings are real, your feelings are shared upon millions.  Don’t hide it, talk to someone about it.  With the right help, you can rediscover your confidence and begin life anew with our undying love and support! Got home around 10pm last night from a date.

It wasn't good.

He was super skinny and had adult braces. Right off the bat, I don't go for that. (blind date, set-up by friends from college)

Sure, we had a lot of the same interests, but it was to the point that they were creepily similar. His favourite comic book characters happened to be my favourite comic book characters. His favourite MTG colour/card was the same as mine. There was a whole bunch of other stuff too.

Anyway, he dropped me off at my car and he kissed me twice.

His lips were sticky. Literally, sticky.

HE HADN'T EATEN ANYTHING STICKY, AND EVEN TOOK A FEW SWIGS OF WATER BEFORE HAND.

WHAT THE HELL.

I WAS SO GROSSED OUT ABOUT IT THAT I SLEPT FOR MAYBE FOUR HOURS.
