Vacations are usually a very good thing. Unless they last too long because as I’ve noticed sometimes I have too long between filming things.”

“Lo! Oh, thank God! When you didn’t reply to Jess’ message, I got so worried.” Holiday turns abruptly to her friend, hugging her without a second thought. She inadvertently disrupts a sleeping Lincoln. He erupts into muted tears, whining in his mother’s arm.

“I broke my phone,” Lola began before trailing off as her eyes went wide. “Hol! You had the baby! Oh my god he’s beautiful,” she exclaims as she hugs her back, her eyes locked on the baby. A light in all the darkness that seemed to surround her.

“Alright, little man. Mommy’s going to need you to cooperate for two moments.” Holiday hops to hush her newborn baby boy,  humming a little tune to keep him occupied. After her third ringing of the doorbell. she begins questioning the reliability of Lionel’s sources, facing away from the door when it opens.

Making no attempt to brush down her mess of hair or check to see how bad her eyes looked from all the crying Lola made her way to the door. She didn’t realize she needed to put on pants until she was halfway there and had to turn back. Finally after doing so she opened the door and her eyes went wide. “Hol..”

“Pretty girl.” Austen said, unable to fight her smile at seeing the Lola. Her smile shifted into a playful grin. “Now, if that were the case, I would’ve locked you down a long time ago.” The dark haired girl chuckled, taking a drink before passing the bottle. “How’ve you been, love of my life? It’s been too long.”

“Maybe you should just ask and you shall receive,” Lola answered, unable to help herself. With Austen everything felt so natural that she didn’t even stop to think before she spoke. Accepting the bottle she took a drink of her own. “I’ve been well. I spent some time in Italy. How have you been? Aside from the car issues.”

“Well you know what thought did.” The brunette answered with a sigh, her brow raising as she mentioned Italian wine, her interest clearly peaked. “You have my attention..”

“Come darling. You’ll love it I promise,” Lola answered, offering her friend her arm. “We’ll pair it with the most expensive chocolate I have.”

Seeing the girl like this crushed her cold heart, she was afraid of this moment happening, but honestly she didn’t expect it to be bad. She expected the crying, but the rushing out and the view of the girl thrashing her arm against the car door, was something she didn’t expect. She entered the car and instant wrapped her arms around the trashing girl not allowing her to escape the embrace. ❝ I wish I could beautiful, I wish I could take away your pain and add it to my own the best thong I can do is be here for you.. I can’t let what happenedto me happen you ❞ she whispered to the crying girl, pressing her lips delicately against the girls head, gently trying smooth her. ❝ God Lola, you don’t deserve this… you are too fucking good to ever deserve to be treated like this.. ❞

Eventually Lola stilled in Ava’s arms as a deep exhaustion seemed to roll over her entire being. She quieted herself until all that was heard was the loud aching breaths that she was forcing herself to take. “We were supposed to try. I love her but I don’t want to love her. I don’t want it anymore. Can’t someone just make it leave,” Lola pleaded her voice verging on hysterical.
