Sebastian couldn’t help but frown as she gave the paper back to him, but he understood. If he couldn’t read it, how was anyone else supposed to? Unless they had superpowers or something utterly strange and totally impossible. “That’s a good motto to live by,” he agreed. “You wouldn’t happen to know of any good cake recipes, though, would you? Preferably chocolate. Because I think that’s the closest I’m gonna get to impressing him with it, thoughts or not.”
vi found it incredibly sweet that he wanted to make his father a cake and the fact that it was clearly important to him made her feel extra bad about not being able to help him. “it really is, that’s why she is so smart.” she said with a smile, before it shaking her head. “i’m not allowed to bake after i almost burned my apartment down, but most of the treats i get are from the bakery in town. i’m sure they have some sort of amazing chocolate cake for your father and hey maybe someone over there can help!”
