The Old City of Jerusalem
We are staying in Jerusalem. Me, mom, dad, Goldie, and our friend's dad Chris went to the Old City.
I went on a tour led by my dad's company, MEJDI Tours, with one guide who was Palestinian and the other one who was Israeli. We toured through the Old City learning Jewish, Christian, and Muslim history.
We put a note in the Western Wall and prayed.
And then we did virtual reality and went in tunnels under the wall.
Then we painted Armenian pottery.
Hair
1 day ago I got my hair dyed by Lauren. I did blue and Goldie did pink and my mom did purple. My aunt Rachel did pink too.
Surfing
2 days ago I went surfing with my mom in the morning! The wet suits were painful but once I was in the water, it was fun. Guess what, I catched a wave!
Yesterday we went on a graffiti tour in Tel Aviv with our friends and family.
After that we had a workshop and we used spray paint on records.
This is what I made.
This week is Passover. Passover is a Jewish holiday about the Jews leaving Egypt.
We were in Caesarea for Passover. My family had a seder with [my aunt] Naomi, [cousins] Sammy, Odelia, and Liam and [our family friends] Josh, Nani, Maya, Lily, and Rapha.
Caesarea is a pretty town with ancient ruins.
I went swimming and did fun Passover things.
Yesterday we went to a cool parked called Gan Yehoshua/Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv with our friends from the Berkshires. Their names are Yishai and Ezra.
The first thing we did was a hot air balloon ride. I was so scard! :-{
Then we watched movie.
And after that we went on a scavenger hunt on a golf cart. I loved the hunt.
And then we went boating.
Today we had an art day. We went to studios and saw art.
In the afternoon, we had a pottery class and made cool things. I made a vase and a cup.
Today I went on a EZRaider's scooter tour from Gordon Pool to Tel Aviv Port and HaYarkon Park.
I was scared but after a little while, it was fun!
Three days ago me and my family went to Zichron Yaakov. We joined Koolulam. Koolulam is a giant sing along! We were raising money for Ukraine refugees. there were 2,000 people there. We sang Fix You by Coldplay. It was SO! hot!! I thought it was nice.
On Thursday, Me and my dad went to Magen David Adom in Kiryat Ono near Tel Aviv. Magen David Adom is Israels emergency medical service.
My Girl Scout troop back home, Troop 65244, is working on their first aid badge.
My troop leader suggested I do this project. I interviewed Abby Klein, an EMT and a former Girl Scout.
These were my questions:
- Were you ever a Girl Scout?
- How did you become an EMT?
- If I had to call for help, how do you do it in Israel?
- Can you show me how to help minor injuries?
- What do you suggest I put in a first aid kit?
- Can you tell me how to prevent and treat outdoor injuries?
- Are there differences in first aid response in Israel and the US?
- Why is there a red star in Israel instead of red cross?
- What should kids do to be prepared for a terrorist attack?

Yesterday, I went to an escape room! I was a little scared at first, but when we got to the 2nd room, I wasn't that scared.
Two nights ago, I saw Sea for dinner. Sea Is an old babysitter. She came with her girlfriend.
1 day ago me, dad, and Goldie went to a laser tag game! The equipment was a heavy coat and a laser gun! We were in a big maze. The lights were off! It was scary at first, but at the end it was fun!
1 Day ago me and my family cooked a meal at a cooking class called citrus and salt. Mommy's friend Fayanne came. We made falafel, cheese dip, hummus, pita bread, and Shakshuka. I liked the shakshuka.
1 day ago I went indoor skydiving. It was scary. Goldie and Dad went too. We wore jump suits, ear plugs, goggles' and a helmet. A giant fan made us fly.
3 days ago me and my family went to Ein Gedi which is a group of oasises + waterfalls. I held the map. And we saw animals called Ibex.
Riding a camel is like the worst version of a horse ride. It is so smellyyyyyyy!
Where you ask? I rode it in the parking lot of the Dead Sea. I did it over the week end.
