New superhero: Glue-Man
He can stick to anything by changing its adhesive properties.
He can shoot strings of glue that he uses to tie up foes and swing from buildings like Tarzan.
He has a sixth sense as well that alerts him when danger is nearby.
I keep thinking about that post about the whole genre of movies about a white guy getting into an asian philosophy, matrial art etc and then proceeding to surpass his teacher and be the best ever at it, and I started thinking about the opposite of it.
I want a movie about a chinese dude who comes to Finland, downs an entire bottle of Koskenkorva, tries to fight a nearby cow and ends up lying face down in a ditch while sobbing about his ex wife and having like 5 finnish dudes staring at him in awe like
“That’s him. That’s the chosen one.”
The 5 finnish dudes bring him home with them. The next day, the chinese dude wakes up on the couch with a mighty hangover. He turns on the TV and for the first time in his life sees Moomintroll. Instant spiritual bonding experience. Overcome with emotion, he begins to sing an ode to Snufkin in a high clear tenor voice. The 5 finnish dudes hastily call their live-in wise old mentor. “Yes,” says the mentor after watching chinese dude for a few minutes. “The prophecy was true. This is the chosen one. This man…will be our 2020 Eurovision act.”
They’re the only first years in Aoba Johsai, that’s pretty badass.
Sleepy baby
My concept for cinematic Batman is a double-feature, two movies released at the same time. One of them is a prestigious true crime mockumentary exploring the various in-universe theories as to Batman’s secret identity, which leaves the question unsolved at the end. Bruce Wayne is not mentioned as a possibility except maybe as a quickly-dismissed fringe theory. The second movie is a Wayne family reality series in the vein of “keeping up with the Kardashians” which never mentions Bruce’s second life. When viewed together, it’ll be obvious Bruce Wayne is Batman, but each one viewed individually will seem to make it obvious Bruce and Batman can’t POSSIBLY be the same guy.

Was going to eat an orange but it’s frozen solid. I’m beginning to suspect that this “fridge” the motel provided is actually a freezer.
The single greatest and most fascinating “futurist” architecture movement in the world right now is happening in Bolivia, where national prosperity and a dedication to works for the poor and public housing led to an explosion of colorful styles inspired by Aymara Indian art. There should be more articles about this, the interiors are just as amazing. Incidentally, most of these buildings are not for the rich or in trendy neighborhoods, but are public housing. I’ve heard this style referred to as “Neo-Andean” but like most currently thriving styles it doesn’t have a universally agreed on name yet.
I’ve re-read the awesome webcomic Unsounded recently, and was inspired to do a little animation of an energetically-boasting Sette. She’s an annoying little brat, but she really grows on you, like a fungus.
Process under the cut!
