Greetings, people of the Internets! I am the LoneWolfPrincess, but you can call me LWP for short. This blog is mostly dedicated to me geeking out about all sorts of fandoms (I might make a list later. SO MANY!), but I'll also post some fanfics I've been working on. I'm pretty friendly (if a little hyper), but I can also be a bit shy if I'm around people I don't know. Feel free to send me an ask or something, and have a great rest of the day! ;D

I like the feeling in this, that strange balance that always exists between these girls. The Senshi are here to guard Usagi, but she in turn guards them. I particularly like the contrast between their expressions: the Senshi’s look haunted and troubled while Usagi’s is, If you’ll excuse the pun, full of serenity.

Although it’s also really hard to not see Usagi saying, “Presenting my dead Senshi.”

when you think about it fanfiction is actually amazing

there are thousands of brilliantly written novel-length stories kids wrote from their own brains about characters and shows/books/movies they love all twined into the internet and other kids read these 50k+ stories in their own time and invest themselves in it

nobody’s being paid to write it and nobody’s being told to read it, people do it because they legitimately enjoy it

that is just kind of amazing

Oregon Zoo’s Lion Pride Grows

Neka, a 6-year-old African lion at the Oregon Zoo, gave birth to three healthy cubs on September 7. Veterinarians conducted their first examination of the 12-day-old cubs, and found that all three cubs are girls! Staff will continue to monitor the cubs closely, as one cub was weak and dehydrated. She will receive supplemental care and feedings as needed, but otherwise caretakers hope to take as much of a hands-off approach as possible.

=D Oregon Zoo kitties! All three of the girls are nice are healthy now, and they have names. From smallest to biggest: Kamali (named after a Shona guardian spirit for babies, fitting since she was the one who was dehydrated), Zalika (Swahili for "well-born", and a total sweetheart like her daddy Zawadi Mungu), and Angalia (Swalihi for "look out!," for she is feisty and loves to pounce on everybody) Haven't seen them in person yet (stupid school), but hopefully I'll be able to visit them over winter break.

This little fella’s name is Champ. He’s a 9-week-old golden retriever that went to the beach for the first time in Hagar Township on Lake Michigan.

Endangered Przewalksi’s Horse Joins Highland Wildlife Park’s Herd

Keepers at the Highland Wildlife Park in Scotland have just welcomed their first new-born Przewalski’s horse in five years. Born on Monday 2nd September to 12-year-old mare Ieda, the youngster is doing well and can already be seen out and about. Przewalski’s horses were declared extinct in the wild, but were reintroduced in the 1990s with the cooperative breeding effort of many zoos.
