what kinda fucking magic have they put in this movie? It’s so perfect!!!! LIKE I just couldn’t believe my eyes as I was watching it. And it’s not even about the plot. Just the movie itself. The swinging scenes, the action scenes, the interactions, the character developments, THE SOUNDTRACK (the main theme???? It evokes something in me). it’s like they climbed up in my mind and found exactly the vibes I wanted for this film and reproduced it like what the fuck??????

Saw Brand New Day last night, so I’m just gonna give my very scattered thoughts in bullet points

BRAND NEW DAY SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

• MY BESTIE AND I HAVE BEEN GOING INSANE SINCE WE FOUND OUT SADIE SINK WAS GONNA BE IN THIS MOVIE AND SAYING SHE’S JEAN GREY, SO WE LOST OUR SHIT AT THE NAME REVEAL IN THE THEATER

• I was lowkey jealous of both Yelena and Peter during the bathhouse scene, I can’t even lie (yes, I am down bad for Florence Pugh and Tom Holland)

• I FUCKING LOVE FRANK AND PETER’S DYNAMIC SO MUCH OMG I WAS LIVING, ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOSPITAL SCENE

• It might be my new favorite Spider-Man movie (I’m sorry, Across the Spider-Verse)

• I genuinely said “Mom, I’m gonna jump” when Jean was pretending to be MJ and talking to Peter

• I’M SO GLAD PETER HAS PEOPLE AGAIN AAAAA MY FUCKING HEART

• I almost cried when Peter, Ned, and MJ were hanging out in the apartment (and almost screamed when they started building the legos because Lego Death Star memories)

• Sooooo… that post credit tho?? 🤨

• LMAO FRANK PRETENDING TO BE SPIDER-MAN THROUGH THE HOSPITAL WINDOW (he was having the time of his life in there)

• “You blushin’?” “You cryin’?” AAAAAAAAAAAA

• Rewatching it again next week because obviously (and once it comes out for streaming I will be rewatching all the time)

• THE SCENE IN PETER’S HEAD WITH MAY AND JEAN 😭

• Sadie was amazing as Jean, of course (not that I was ever in doubt)

• Everything just looked so fucking good in this movie (I was in awe)

• All the fight scenes were so good, especially the last one before he talked to Jean face to face

• I LOVED THAT JEAN WAS HELPING PETER BREATHE

That’s all I’m gonna say at the moment, but I definitely have more thoughts! I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this movie since leaving the theater
