Don't worry about the time when I post this though, it is so ok I promise. I finally drew Jacobi from Wolf359, took a bunch of inspo from different versions because low-key everyone makes him look super cool so I wanted to chime in with my art :DD✨✨✨

There are four more episodes left this season of The Harbingers!

We'll be back on May 7th for Episode 13: Sex, Drugs, and Existential Dread! After that, Episode 14 will be on May 21st, Episode 15 will drop on June 4th, and the season will conclude with Episode 16 on June 18th!

That leaves us with just a few more episode titles unaccounted for. (Remember, they're listed in alphabetical order above.) Who knows what might be coming for Adam, Amy, Andie, and the rest!

You know my love for a show is getting intense when I start putting episode release dates in my calendar.

For those who haven't listened to The Harbingers, I really recommend it, it's a lot of fun! The emoji hint of an explosion paired with that particular episode name does not bode well tho and I am scared (I'm so attached to these characters, I can't take another Wolf 359 level heartbreak)

!!WOLF 359 AND PROJECT HAIL MARY SPOILERS!!

There's something about Grace from Project Hail Mary that reminds me of Doug Eiffel. They're far from the same person but there are echoes of Eiffel in so many of the actions (especially the earlier ones) that Grace takes.

They're both in dire situations, sent on a deep space mission against their will and neither of them are expected to make it home. And while they both have their fair share of rock bottom moments (the alcohol being a key one), they find a way to make it bearable. For example, the noodles and dancing when Grace first meets Rocky was the most Doug Eiffel coded thing I've ever seen and it was amazing to witness.

I don't believe that either of them would truly consider themselves to be brave or self-sacrificial, and yet they constantly put themselves in situations that show both of those things when it comes to protecting those they care for, even if this is a trait that is developed throughout the story rather than something they start with. And at the end of it all, they sacrifice a part of themselves that they once held so dear to save others (Grace going to save Rocky without knowing whether he would die in doing so, and Eiffel destroying his own memories to help the crew defeat Pryce and make it home safe).

A Beacon of Hope for a New Age

Being a tadc fan who is also a computer science student truly does have me overanalysing the code in the latest episode. Spoilers for tadc ep 8 under the cut.

When Kinger is trying to temporarily shut down Caine in tadc ep 8, he has a command prompt up on the computer and I, like the completely normal tadc fan I am, have been hyper-analysing it.

Not directly code related but the line 'I must hand it to you G_an_, your mind was always resourceful' could be a reference to Kinger's actual name. Would explain why the 2nd and 5th letter are redacted.

Also the code itself seems to give us a better timeline for when certain people joined the circus (at least, based on when the .dat files were created). The code files (.lisp) for Caine and Bubble were both created Oct 15 1996, with Scratch (one of the intial group of people in the circus) entered the circus on Oct 15 1999. This was followed by Ragatha on Oct 15, 2008 (9 years later).

Regarding the 'chmod 000 /secured/caine-core.lisp' line of code, I believe (and take this with a grain of salt, I literally learnt the chmod command yesterday) that Kinger was trying to change the file permissions of the file containing Caine's code so that no one could read from, write to, or more importantly execute that file. This would essentially temporarily shut Caine down until his permissions were updated again. However, Kinger is unable to do this which is likely what leads him down the attempt to delete the file containing Caine's code entirely.

Another thing that interested me is that Caine and Bubble are 2 separate code files, unlike my previous theory that Bubble was just a part of Caine. This does make me slightly worried about ep 9 because Caine was deleted but, by the look of the episode, Bubble was not.
