"The Rose in the valley is blooming so sweet ♪ And angels descend there the children to greet ♫ ..."
from the fairy tale The Snow Queen, Hans Christian Andersen
Today is 12/12/12.The last repetitive date we will see.
It makes me think about my past because I grew up having such a "perfect" date every year. And it makes me realize how much I have grown and that throughout the years I've acted and felt like a different person on every single one of those "special days".
This year we're having the last "perfect" date. But it is the first year I am being myself. And that makes every following day... truly and absolute imperfectly... perfect.
Thankful (by Josh Groban)
Even with our differences, there is a place we're all connected. Each of us can find each other's light.
There's so much to be thankful for.
The story of Ryan White
Sometimes the heart is so heavy that we turn away from it and forget that its throbbing is the wisest message of life, a wordless message that says: 'Live, be, move, rejoice - you are alive!'

I think I will never find proper words to describe the feelings I have on September 11th. It is killing me. Killing me. I think many people really do not get what this day is representing. They remember the people who died in the Twin Towers that day. But actually so many more were and are being killed. Do you think about the 919,967 people that have been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq since the U.S. and coalition attacks (the number is based on lowest credible estimates)? Not even this number sums up the dying. Every child losing their mother or father, every father or mother losing their child; friends and relatives losing their beloved ones... all of them... killed. Maybe not many will get what I'm trying to say: that in some way all of our souls are being killed. In no way do I want to belittle the deaths of those who physically died on September 11th, 2001. But my point is that I think not just every stain of blood but also every tear shed represents how we destroy humanity. Because I feel the deaths inside my own breaking heart.
I just don't understand. and I will never understand the way humans kill humanity. We're destroying this world. We are destroying each other. We let ourselves be destroyed. We are destroying every thing. When will we learn! Will we ever learn?

Suicide Prevention (not just today)
today is National Suicide Prevention day, which marks the beginning of National Suicide Prevention WEEK. be sure to smile at everyone, not only this week but everyday. you never know when it might save a life. and i just want all of you to know that if you ever need to talk or just get something off your chest, i am ALWAYS here for you. no judgment. we are all beautiful living creatures, and we’re going to stay that way. just take it one breath at a time and forget everyone that has ever put you down. you are worth so much more than a small-minded ignorant person. i promise, everything is going to get so much better and i want everyone to be alive to experience it. i don’t want anyone to ever feel like there is no one there, because there will always be friends there to help you. i promise. it gets so much better.
