The man was a muggleborn and when he was informed that no teacher had lasted more than a year he decided to make a game out of tempting fate. On the first day he showed up in a full Redshirt outfit from Star Trek. The next he came as a Stormtrooper. Then he began dressing as the previous professors. He taught at Hogwarts for over a decade.

261. After Hagrid was allowed to get a new wand Harry helped to teach him the Patronus charm. Everyone expected Hagrid to have a terrifying monster for a Patronus, like Fluffy or Norberta. Instead Hedwig burst out of his wand. Hagrid tearfully explained to Harry, "I'm the one that bought 'er for you, and sometimes I feel like it's me fault she's not around anymore. I know how much you loved her." Harry smiled and hugged Hagrid, and then thanked him for letting him see his owl again.
