James tilted his head slightly a smirk curling at the edge of his lips. This was amusing to say the least, and Hook was enjoying every second of it. “Well, look on the bright side champ. You’re still gorgeous, have men and women falling at your feet all the time, and you can afford to replace those pair of shoes. If i were you i’d feel pretty good right now myself.” Hook smiled sweetly reaching into his pocket and pulling out a tissue and handing it over. “Maybe if you’re extra good i’ll buy you a new pair myself.”

“If I step in dog shit one more time…” Lightning scoffed as he wiped his shoe on the sidewalk. Dogs were menaces and he couldn’t see why anyone would have them.

“Maybe you should watch where you’re going next time love. That’s just a suggestion though.”

James Hook was known for stirring the pot. He loved sparking chaos and how the aftermath would effect someone’s world. He felt that way partly because growing up he had a far from normal childhood. He was exposed to all sorts of adult things and never truly got to experience his childhood. He wanted people to be as bitter as him, pulling them down to his level. His bitterness only seemed to grow when he met a boy named Peter Pan. Things were fairly good at first, but of course Peter expected Hook to obey every order and follow the boy king around like a lost puppy. And Hook was not having it one bit. So he stopped the stupid childish games and grew up. Hook was wild and carefree and he’d be damned if he was going to be controlled by some pre-pubescent boy. James is a charmer and a great manipulator, it doesn’t take long for him to sink his nails into someone and whisper sweet nothings until they fall to his feet. He lives for the drama and thrives upon being your certain of attention, don’t expect him to care about you though.

I got up stumblin and fumblin to find my calendar, swearin I had missed two–no, three weeks of classes. You think that’s my body’s way of telling me I might need to take it easy on the studying?”

“I wake up feeling like that all the time. Mostly due to hangovers though, but i feel the same. I went to bed sober and i woke up feeling almost light headed as if I've been sleeping forever. Maybe it’s something in the air, or the studying too. But that wouldn’t make sense for me. I don’t think I've looked at a textbook in a few years.”

Merida was trying to relieve some tension, of course she was tense. How could she not be tense…but she was pretty good at bottling it up until she was ready to explode. She was inside the gym hands all wrapped up, sweat dripping down her forehead, her hair tied up in a huge bouncy ponytail. Her fists pounded into the punching bag, again and again and again. Her knuckles we bleeding but she didn’t stop. If someone entered she didn’t hear them just kept hitting the bag, she felt tears stream down her face mixing with her bloody knuckles making the floor slippery, After several minutes of the pain the frustration she collapsed against the ground hugging the bottom of the bag, “Enjoy the show? What do you want?” She didn’t look up but she knew the person who entered had seen it all.

It was hard to get a hold of Merida since their last talk. It would be foolish of James to think that everything on her side was okay. Plus she always answered his texts, so that was red flag number one. If she was going to go down, he was going to go down with her. He wasn’t sure how to exactly help her though. He barely knew how to resolve his own heart trauma with his boy king. Hook went to her dorm first and no sign of her there. Second, the woods. Nope, not there either. Hook’s feet began to ache from searching all over the campus grounds. The last place he drug himself too was the gym, and low and behold he finally found his little red spark. He tried catching his breath before approaching her. He took a moment to analyze his surroundings. Her voice was cold which was very un-like Merida. Then he his eyes fled to her knuckles seeing how torn and bloodied they were. The punching bag was colored in crimson. “No, not really.” He remarked bluntly and moved besides her and took her hand in his good one. “Mer what are you doing darling?”

“Well, if this place ain’t as cute as a button! And I saw, like, 12 adorable li’l boutiques on the drive in, so I have a lot to do.”
