IT IS THE WAY THEIR LIPS TOUCH THAT MELDS THEM TOGETHER, bodies pressed to one another in this moment of fleeting intimacy. where pink tresses once would cascade over the curvatures of sua's face as they part, all she can offer is an unwavering gaze in its place. gentle, softened at her words, even when she knows well the weight that she has tethered them to. her love had always been something so morbidly cruel, an entanglement that only serves to restrict any snared within tighter as they attempt to escape. and it was even more so for the one she had found that fateful day in anakt garden, intertwining their fates so deeply that, as it was now, they could never truly be parted with just a mere bullet to through a fragile neck.

as she stares down at the woman pinned beneath her, she can only take in what she says 一 i don't want to. was that a satisfactory answer? mizi knows it was an avoidant one at its very best. and yet, she doesn't mind hearing it in place of what she truly wanted to hear come from sua's mouth.

again, their lips press to one another, the woman taking another kiss for her own self-satisfaction, as if in doing so would transform whatever she had said to the 'correct' answer. it lingers a little longer than prior, fingertips now ghosting along what exposed skin they can find before she pulls away to speak. ❝ Really? That makes me glad to hear. ❞ her voice is nigh a whisper, beath ghosting along skin as with every taken breath, as if she were breathing life back into a woman who would only remain dead were she to leave this island once more.

❝ ... Sua, ❞ the name falls from her tongue, withholding herself from the want to repeat it over and over again. mizi's body shifts, allowing her head to rest beneath the other's chin and against her collarbone, fingers now lacing between sua's own. ❝ It's good that you're back. I missed you a lot while you were gone. Is there anything we'd like to do now that you're here again? ❞

𝄞 Sua felt guilty, conscious of the reality that her being present in the city again meant that she had perhaps stopped Mizi from finding it in herself to move on. But knowing her... maybe the first time had already created that problem. How could Mizi be expected to move on when she was in a place where her dearly departed could return? Selfishly, she didn't linger on the thought for very long. If she had come back to the city to find her with someone else, then...

Another kiss distracted her and left her slightly breathless when their lips parted again. She trembled a little bit from the shaking of her skin, but was finally able to relax again when Mizi finally pulled away from her. If she had wanted more, she chose not to say it out of fear for ruining the moment.

She didn't sit up at first, remaining still with her head tilted slightly to look up at her girlfriend's face with eyes that were taking in every detail, reminding herself of how Mizi looked after everything she had been through. Of course, Sua's love wasn't so skin deep that she was bothered by any of it. When she finally sat up, it was just in time for Mizi to rest her head against her and for their fingers to intertwine.

Hearing Mizi speak, she smiled slightly and gave her hand a light squeeze. Before she could give a serious answer though, a loud noise broke the silence. Her rumbling stomach. "...Do you want to order in dinner? I haven't... eaten since I arrived in the city earlier today..." It definitely wasn't unlike her not to take care of herself when it came to things like that, however.

i just want the stars to give me the ability to drop a whole meteor on luka's head just one time. it would be thoughtful, inspiring, and entertaining for everyone.

𝄞 "Uh!?" Sua had spaced out in a location that clearly hadn't been ideal, because her arm had been grabbed and she had been pulled back into the sidewalk from the road she'd been standing on. Her self-preservation instincts weren't typical for a number of reasons. But in the first place she didn't have very much experience living outside of Anakt Garden.

She had assumed she had been standing somewhere safe. As a bike sped by, it became clear she had been standing in the bike lane.

"Sorry... I didn't mean to trouble you." She didn't even make eye contact when she turned to the man that had pulled her back. Encounters with strangers weren't a strong suit of hers. "Thank you, though." Mizi would have been upset if something had happened to her.

𝄞 "Till." Sua's expression was blank, but there was something vaguely threatening about her tone as she stared him down across the hall. It could have possibly been a scene straight out of a horror movie. "You didn't see or hear anything that was going on in Mizi's room on the day I returned, did you?"

"I could have sworn I heard your voice outside at one point..." She knew that if he had, he hadn't done it on purpose. She was just choosing to mess with him a little bit.

𝄞 Sua had hardly lived there for a day, and she had already found a reason to shoot Ivan a glare when he walked into the kitchen. She was standing in front of the counter with a chair beside her making it obvious that she'd been trying to climb up. On top of the cupboards was a bag she had left out, and it had magically ended up all the way on its own.

And considering Ivan basically had a foot of height over her...

"Take it down." She wasn't asking, but she also had no recourse if he refused.

𝄞 Sua wasn't sure what to say. Socializing wasn't her strong suit in the first place, but when faced with a fellow Anakt Garden graduate that problem was only exacerbated. She was aware of Hyuna, she'd been in the class before hers, even though she hadn't really learned her name until Mizi had told her in the city.

That didn't make it any less awkward that Hyuna had invited her to talk at a cafe. She'd helped Mizi after her death, so she likely knew a lot more about Sua than Sua knew about her.

"...I'm sorry, is there something you wanted to talk to me about specifically?" With a freshly delivered cup of tea in front of her, Sua's fingers ran across the rim nervously. "I'm not used to places like this still, really."

WHAT DOES ONE DO IN THIS SITUATION? a mere walk through the door that leads to her room, only to be greeted with a face she thought was once more lost beyond the touch of her fingertips, never to be seen again unless in those distant, clung to memories. there she sits upon her bed in picturesque beauty, like some deity who has descended unto the realm of mortal kind, awaiting the devout to come worship their very existence among them. in mizi's satellite view, she was the god she would idolize until her very last breath 一 her entire universe.

gently, as if even the slightest touch might shatter her very existence, she pushes her back onto the bed, only to crawl onto it and hovering over her thereafter. fingers trail along the outline of her body, stopping once skin greets her own, taking the other's wrist into her grasp and lifting to press the warmth of her body upon her cheek. she holds it there, looking down at sua as she hardly moves, terrified that one wrong motion might take everything from right beneath her.

silence engulfs them for a single moment, until一

❝ You won't leave again... ❞ you can't leave again, she wants to say, relishing in the heat of her lover's skin. ❝ ... right? ❞

𝄞 Sua was frozen at first. It wasn't because Mizi's actions upon her arrival had been undesired. She felt the opposite, in fact. Her last stay in the city had ended abruptly and the two of them had only managed to make so much progress after their reunion. She had only been told so much. She only understood so much. But the love she felt towards Mizi wouldn't have wavered regardless of what she had been told.

It wasn't that unfamiliar of a scene. They had shared moments like this at Anakt. Physical gestures like those that Mizi employed could say more than words if both parties understood them. Sua didn't have any desire for power, she had always been satisfied allowing Mizi to take whatever she wanted from her. So long as she could be with Mizi, nothing else had really mattered.

Her wrist still in Mizi's grasp and her fingers pressed to her lover's cheek, Sua waited until the question had departed Mizi's lips before using those fingers to graze her cheek delicately. The question wasn't one she could provide a convincing answer to. She didn't get to decide if she came or went. It was an unintentionally cruel question for that reason.

It took her a moment to think about how to reply, but she soon reached up with her free hand to guide Mizi's lips down to her own. It was a brief kiss, but when their lips parted she softly uttered her reply when their lips were only inches away. "...I don't want to."

𝄞 She didn't know Luka personally. She knew of him. How could she not when she'd thoroughly paid attention to both Alien Stage and its practices? He was an Anakt graduate like she was, even if he was from a class that hadn't overlapped with her own. But she also knew that he knew of her in return, though she imagined that research had come been made after her death.

"You're... Luka, right?" Sua asked softly, looking up at him. But her expression was blank in a way that was almost eerie. Mizi had told her about what he had done during the fifth round. "How do I measure up in person... compared to that ghost that you weaponized?"

𝄞 Sua's reappearance in the city had been sudden, but it had been even more sudden to find herself dropped into a home she hadn't lived in before. Ivan, Till, and Mizi all seemed to live there as she'd been informed, but rather than wait around for the boys, she ended up immediately going into Mizi's room.

Not to do anything bad, but to wait on her bed until she returned. It was preferrable to her than having to do their reunion in public, especially when she wasn't sure how Mizi would react. Would she be surprised? Would she be happy? Would she be upset? Would she be mad?

Sua could only wonder pensively as she sat on that bed with her hands neatly resting on her lap. Hopefully she didn't take too long. She was kind of hungry...
