The Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island. Her people are said to have come from the ocean and in her bloodline lies the strength and will of the God they once served and it’s devotion to protect it’s worshippers. Though her work mainly consists of leading the people with calmness and grace, Kokomi’s true abilities shine when war approaches. Blessed with the unparalleled ability to create various forms of military tactics, her strategies are unmatched on the battlefield and she is able to lead her troops to victory despite the odds. Their confidence in her abilities has led to them thinking that so long as they are in her presence, all will be well and they cannot lose. 

Though now that war is over, she finds herself at a loss of how to live peacefully after having been through conflict for a number of years...

Even though she acts extroverted due to her responsibilities, she’s actually very introverted and gets nervous when giving big speeches.

Really likes reading books concerning military tactics.

Would actually be a shut-in if she could and does make it a point to shut herself in away from people when she can.

Is very bad at masking her true feelings, you can usually pick up on them without a lot of difficulty.

Has a social battery, gets very tired after interacting with people for long periods of time. Will excuse herself if she feels the tiredness coming on.

Likes to go sea-diving and feels most at home when she’s submerged in the waves.

Keeps a diary of events that happen throughout her day and notes whether she was given energy or it was taken away due to interacting with people or having to be in certain situations.

Admittedly, it wasn't often that Kokomi met someone that she felt comfortable around, but there was something about Sua that made it easier to relax. "I appreciate you agreeing to meet me. It's so nice to see you again, Sua." Some time had passed since they had last spoken, and though they no longer lived together, the priestess hoped that they could continue to nurture their friendship.

Since Sua had actually shown up, it was probably safe to assume that she felt somewhat of the same, at the very least. "Let's hope that we can both find something that we like," smiled Kokomi, who now moves to open the door to the bookshop, further leading her companion inside. "Do you read much?"

"Officially? Nothing. But it's a popular time for couples to hold their weddings because of the fair weather. I guess that's what makes it romantic. If you ask me, though...the best part about Spring is being able to read a book outside without freezing."

Robert didn't have any issues with the housing arrangements so long as he had his own space, he was just still trying to grapple with it all.

Eventually, he just sighed and ducked into his own room. "One sec." Only to come out with a dog under his arm.

"Kokomi, right? Like I said before, my name's Robert. And this? This is Beef. Hope you don't have a dog allergy, but I'll figure out something if you do."

He says it as if it's hard to believe, and maybe it is. She was once new here too and felt the same amount of confusion. Still, his wording could use some work, if Skirk's expression at the kitchen table behind them could be any indication. "Miss Skirk is...an acquired taste. She'll come around." She likely won't, but smoothing things over now was probably for the best.

"Honestly, it might be that neither of us was expecting a man in our home. But I suppose that's one of the downsides to public housing." Nervous laughter follows, but Kokomi still manages a friendly smile. Robert seemed nice enough, after all. "You and Beef are always welcome. I'm only sorry about how jarring this must be for you. You seem very...normal."

It seemed harmless enough...despite her hesitation. "It's not...filled with anything, is it?"

虫 "This world has monsters, doesn't it? I wouldn't say there's nothing for me to swing my sword at~!" She could see what the woman was getting at, but she had a simple answer for that as well. "It's more of an attitude than a title. Do you have something you were known for back home? Did you cast all of that aside when you came here?"

"If you're worried about me killing innocent people though, you can rest assured. My blade is only reserved for those that deserve it, and even then I'd only take the life of someone who had no issue with taking the lives of others first."

Kokomi has nothing to say in return to the other's retort. Had she really cast duty aside when she first got here? No. Had she done that even now? She couldn't answer that either. A part of her tries not to get too comfortable, even after all these years. Her silence must be enough of an answer.

"I only worry that, like so many people I've seen before, you bite off more than you can chew, so to speak." And there was the matter of one other concern, "...And the fact that killing here doesn't mean that someone will stay dead."

Or people could have been from different eras of Japan in the first place. It was interesting to consider, but she almost didn't want to know about the future of her homeland.

"Are you saying that because you have no responsibilities here? Regardless of whether or not there are demons to slay, I will remain a Demon Slayer so long as I breathe." It was her reason for living, the thing that kept her going. She would not let her relocation take that away from her.

"But...if you're not slaying anything, can you really call yourself a demon slayer still?" Holding onto something that wasn't feasible to continue here seemed pointless. It was like holding on to a grudge that one could never act on, or maybe keeping dreams that were no longer attainable. "It might be best to look into something more suitable for other talents, if you have any."

虫 "Hm~? Do you hail from Japan as well, young miss?" It had seemingly become a common occurrence for Shinobu to drop down from above randomly to greet someone. She found it easier to move about by jumping from tree to tree, light post to light post, and so on.

"Your clothes remind me of a priestess, but hm... Perhaps not? Maybe a place like Japan, then?" Or perhaps Japan from a different era? She had learned there were a number of possibilities.

"Not exactly," Though from what she's heard over the years, the two seemed to be pretty similar in both culture and attire. "But I guess it'd be relatively close if we had to compare."

"I was a priestess. I'm not much of anything these days other than an avid reader." As much as she can be, anyway. "It's a little difficult to keep exact with your previous occupation once you've been here for a while. Whether that's good or bad is entirely up to who you're asking, though."
