yeah I think its pretty clear at this point with the "perfect honeymoon" art the alnst account posted, that the showmen in zomst wear black sheep masks because they are the metaphorical black sheep carrying the sins of the men watching mizi and sua's show. they want to watch cruel acts being done to the objects of their desires, but they dont want to feel guilty about it so there is sacrifical black sheep they can boo at on stage who are taking those actions for them. quite like the ugly rapist trope in some pornos and movies.

Would Luka kill every segyein child in existence, if he would certainly get away with it?

consider the following scenario:

one day before the start of the 50th alien stage competition, luka is summoned by a demon into a white room.

the white room contains only 2 buttons - a red one and a blue one - and the demon.

the demon tells luka that, if he pushes the blue button, he will be returned to when and where he was summoned from, with no consequence.

the demon tells luka that, if he pushes the red button, every segyein that would be legally classified as a child will die immediately. then, luka will be returned to when and where he was summoned from, with no consequence.

if luka pushes the red button, no one will ever know what caused the mass segyein child death, except for luka himself.

which button would luka push?

blue button, and he thinks this is the morally correct choice

consider the following scenario:

one day before the beginning of the 50th alien stage competition, a genie appears before mizi and ivan and offers both of them the following deal:

if mizi and ivan both agree to die immediately, then, upon the conclusion of the 50th alien stage competition, all humans in existence will be instantaneously teleported into the survivable planets of a star system unreachable by the segyein.

all planets within this star system will be survivable for humans, and will be equipped with the technology and resources necessary for the rebuilding of human civilization.

if mizi and ivan take this deal, then both of their deaths will be instantaneous and painless.

if either mizi or ivan does not take this deal, then nothing will happen and events will continue to follow the status quo.

in order for mizi and ivan to take this deal, both of them must verbally agree with both each other and with the genie that they want to take this deal.

would mizi and ivan both agree to take this deal?

there’s something to be said about the fact that both mizi and ivan come from an inherently poor or unsafe environment, which makes them see love as survival, and survival is transactional to them. therefore, they play into personas of performative versions of themselves, mizi being the pretty and approachable girl, while ivan is the self reliant and smooth talking boy. even if they are unhappy with where they are stuck, they still maintain it, for fear of the possibility of what does happen if they step out of line.

ironically, the basis of their friendship is built around trust, and yet even when it’s misguided. people play off their relationship as a mutual understanding, but is it really like that, or is it something that wasn’t close to what it could have been. ivan, misinterpreting mizi as a cheerful and bubbly person, feels awkward at what he perceives as innocent (she isn’t), but still enjoys her company nonetheless, as he is almost never antagonistic to her. meanwhile, mizi sees ivan as a perfect prince (he’s not) that is effortlessly cool in every situation.

and yet, even in this warped perception of a bond, there’s still a mutual trust that they know they can rely on each other. mizi seems to trust ivan deeply (leaning on him when she sleeps and doing piggy back rides with him) while ivan shows no bother at her, even engaging in her antics sometimes. they see the peaceful friendship as something that doesn’t require transaction, and something they don’t need to control. it’s tragic because they are so similar, and a deep conversation would bring them much closer as friends, but mizi doesn’t see ivan as a trauma, so she doesn’t think of her as someone like her, and ivan’s self hatred makes him seek out relation to sua, because he falls for the mask that mizi plays into, as does she with him.

how does one look at teenage Ivan who's described as charming and prince-like more than once and whom everyone in Anakt Garden and their mom have a crush on, and come to the conclusion that yeah no actually he has no idea how to act around people :( he's just trying to establish a connection in the only way he knows why are Sua and Till being so MEAN and pushing him away when he deliberately taunts them and anticipates that very reaction:(((

till and luka vs. prisoner's dilemma

consider the following scenario: one day before the start of the 50th alien stage competition, the human rebels rescue everyone. thus, everyone survives and joins the rebels. some time later, an ideological conflict within the rebellion causes a splinter faction to leave, declaring enmity on the main rebellion. all of the named characters stay with the main rebellion. some time later, till and luka are captured by the splinter faction.

till and luka are imprisoned separate rooms with no means of communication, and then both offered the following deal:

you can choose to either Sacrifice or Not Sacrifice the other party.

you know the other party is being given the same deal as you.

you will be given no knowledge of what the other party chose until you make your choice.

the outcomes of each choice are as thus:

if you chose Not Sacrifice and the other party chose Not Sacrifice as well, then you both will be jailed for 1 year.

if you chose Not Sacrifice and the other party chose Sacrifice, then you will be jailed for 3 years, while the other party will go free.

if you chose Sacrifice and the other party chose Not Sacrifice, then you will go free, while the other party will be jailed for 3 years.

if you both chose Sacrifice, then you both will be jailed for 2 years.
