Yo guys, new directory is finally up! Everything you need to know is on the directory, and if you'd look over them when you have the chance I'd appreciate, since there are a lot of new details and changes made.

The main thing is to change your username; make sure you do that, and then follow the directory so I can officially add you to the masterlist!

As for your questions as to whether you can change your job or whatever else, you can change absolutely anything you like, just send an ask to the new directory letting me know what your job is and if you're from the Ring, Median or Slums.

Also tell me your power/aeon if you're a SOLDIER/mutant, or a summoner!

Personality: Living in the Slums for as many years as he did tends to change a person. His personality has become a bit cold, twisted even. He doesn’t smile like he used to, thinking that the next day will be even better than today. He doesn’t dream about the future and all the choices he has because he doesn’t. He accepted the truth. This is his world now and nothing can change that. No one is going to come to help you. The only one that can is yourself

Background: He wasn’t born into the slums. He didn’t choose to be put there like many others, but it seemed fate had another intention for him. 

He lived in The Median with a loving family. He went to school and he had a lot of friends. He was friendly and warm. He was always the center of attention. He had always loved music and when his dad got the promotion they were going to head to The Ring. He was beyond happy. There he could seek out his dreams and become a singer. Everything was going perfectly. Then the accident happened. He couldn’t believe it. All those years of happiness all seemed to vanish just like he was waking up from a dream. 

Everything was robbed from him at only the age of 16. He was left to wander the streets taking care of his only brother before he finally collapsed in front of a building. It was a foster home. They took them in, and a few years passed before his brother too was robbed from him. He was alone now. The home closed and all the children that weren’t taken were sent to the Slums to fend for themselves. 

Many years have passed since that and now he roams the streets of the Slums. He works whatever job he gets and though he’s not proud of them, it’s all he can do to survive.

►IMPORTANT: Roleplay Status

Alright guys, so I've thought a lot about what is to become of this directory the past few days, and I have a few options to run by you all.

Firstly, I'd ask you all to like this post if you have read it, so I know who's aware and who I need to contact if not.

Obviously, the extreme option is to shut LF down, but a few people have said they really don't want that to happen so this is unlikely.

Option 1 is to change the backstory a little and turn LF into an open directory. In which case, we have these variations:         1. Spira is an island off the coast of South Korea which is basically under no rule (except Shin Ra's, of course), and everything else stays the same;         2. No Spira. Instead we take Shin Ra, the Brotherhood/SOLDIER and social classes and stick them into some new city in South Korea, in which they are simply companies; Shin Ra as a science corporation and SOLDIER as a type of mafia.

Option 2 is to keep LF closed, do a complete clean out of the directory and hire another admin to help out, although this would be rather difficult.

One thing that will happen is that the url format for roleplayers will be changed, so it will no longer be idolname-fantasy, since so many users are inactive.

If we go with option one, I will also create a new directory blog.

So what do you think? Please let me know via reply to this post or via ask, send suggestions, whatever. I'm more inclined toward the first option, but it's all up to you guys.

*EDIT: Since I forgot that some people may not be familiar with the terms:

An open directory is a roleplay which allows the roleplayers to communicate with roleplayers from other roleplay directories. It may sound unappealing, but it keeps the dash from dying and also gives you a chance to showcase your character to people who don't know anything about our theme. It's also great advertising.

A closed roleplay is what we have now; in which we only communicate within LF.

Would it be absolutely impossible to change one of my characters to another person? When I submitted my app, I was battling with which person to actually apply for, and in retrospect, I realise that the story I created better fits another person. If that is unacceptable, I understand. I haven't even done any rp with this character yet, if that makes a difference.

You can change for sure! You'll have to submit a new application for the new character, but you can change and roleplay straight away as your place in the roleplay is guaranteed and you won't have to wait for  us to post the application.
