Like h o w did you all do it? The sheer intensity of his love, all of the tears as he realized the weight of her trauma, the emotions, the intimacy, the raw pain in Bai Lu’s acting. My god what a showcase. Fantastic A+ acting, a stellar arc and an excellent romance. Wow. Just wow.

Ep 31 was so much pain and I loved it.

Highlight was Prince Ding’s face when he learned just how mentally ill his wife is (with the letters.)

But you know what I find fascinating? Even by the end when he desperately begs for permission to go to Lishan, resigning his career and all, I don’t think he has some revelation she loves him. He probably still thinks she came to him out of guilt and duty. But it no longer matters because the situation has flipped from what he thought - a young woman sacrificing herself for him with divorce being freedom for her to young woman who desperately needs to be cared for and not to be alone.

It’s not that he knows she loves him. It’s that he knows she needs him. And that comes first before any other consideration and shows that the divorce was not about hurt feelings for him but about care of her.

I love that for both of them guilt/duty/caretaking and love now entwine so much that I don’t think even they can tell where one ends and other begins. And I think he now can understand why care/guilt/pity does not preclude love in any way. If she told him she loved him - now he’d believe her.

well folks, i've watched 25 episodes and unfortunately i am one of the people who have become un-interested in the first jasmine. it was so promising at the start but it's moved away from all the things that grabbed me initially, and i personally sit on the side that the romance isn't giving me what i need. i see why so many people still love it, but it's just...lacking some intensity? or something? idk.

i don't know what's going on with cdramas but this year has been so disappointing.

Well we found out what happened with the edict and it’s tragic and terrible and I totally get why Ye Li wants all her paternal family dead but also I am so not cut out to be a drama protag because if it was me as her husband that marriage would be dead because it doesn’t matter if it wasn’t her fault and she suffered, I could not be married to someone whose fam caused all that tragedy to my family and me whether despite their best efforts (her and her mom) or on purpose (the rest of the fam.)

I’d be all well of course I won’t murder you like I would the rest of the fam but let’s see each other never. I am gonna change my house number since it’s too early for cell phone numbers and hope you do the same.

Like I would NOT get over it.

I'm confused right now.

1) Is she lying or is she subconsciously believing that she doesn't know any martial arts?

2) Was she doing all the chores alone on the mountain because she was imagining people of Lishan to be present like she is imagining Qing shuang?

At this point, I would like to totally believe that no one on the mountain is alive. It would be so painful to watch when the story unfolds and I am here for the angst!

Yeah dude, she ain’t gonna stop. Bai Lu is always gonna domme, only question is whether she will do it gently and caringly or psychically and luckily for you, it’s the former in this one.
