GOD TIER POST RIGHT HERE
Nice ending for this…
World Heritage Post
All hail lemon man post
this was wild
One of my favorite posts ever
THIS HAD ME LAUGHING SOOOOOO HARD OMG NOT THE LEMON SHERRIF- 🤣🤣🤣
The lemon man post is back!
1. Fist: Make a fist around the epi-pen, don’t place your thumb/fingers over either end
2. Flick the blue cap off
3. Fire. Press down into the outer thigh (the big muscle in there), hold for 10 seconds before removing (the orange cap will cover the needle). Bare skin is best but the epi-pen will go through clothing. Avoid pockets and seams.
- Ring an ambulance even if everything seems to be fine!
Oh my god. So as someone who has to carry an epipen EVERYWHERE I am so happy to see that there’s an info post about them. Like in the extreme case that I can’t inject myself, somebody else would have to do it, but nobody knows how to do it! Thank you, this may just save my life some day.
Don’t be wimpy about it, either. I know friends who are like, “but idk if I could stab you with a needle!” Please stab me with the needle, don’t be hesitant about it.
In my case (I can’t speak for all allergies), an epi buys me 20 minutes of breathing to get to the hospital. It is not a magic bullet, it’s a few critical minutes to help get me where I need to go.
For those who don’t know, people with serious food allergies carry epinephrine which is an adrenaline shot just in case they have anaphylaxis, which is a life threatening allergic attack. This shot is life-saving and must be administered to someone who is having an anaphylactic attack as SOON AS POSSIBLE, because an extra waited minute could mean their life.
It doesn’t hurt much at all to use this needle. The first time I used mine, I didn’t even feel it. But be sure to stab it IN THE OUTER THIGH. Do not stick it anywhere else or you could seriously hurt or kill someone. Just right to the outside of the thigh and then call the ambulance - even if your friend starts doing better, they could have a biphasic reaction, meaning a reaction that comes back (or they may need a second dose, be on the look out). If your friend has an epipen, then they have an epipen trainer that doesn’t have a needle and you can try it out just to be sure you know how to use the real thing if you have to. I’d also advise holding it a few more seconds then 10, maybe go for 14 just to be sure all the medicine is administered and that you didn’t count too fast - that’s what I did.
Here’s a graphic of where to stick it:
THANK YOU FOR THE GRAPHIC I was about to ask because my mom carries one around and so do some of my friends and I wanted to make sure I would do it right if I ever needed to!
Learn about this or get a refresher, if you’re not already familiar.
“I don’t want to stab you” they’d be dead otherwise. Stab em.
Tips for boys on their period
Don’t put a pad on boxers! It doesn’t work and makes a mess
To feel more masculine wear boxers over your //pad holding underwear//
Don’t beat yourself up, you are totally rad and cool, you’re body is doing something, but that’s okay, it’s not your fault and it doesn’t make you less valid!
If your cheast starts to hurt, don’t bind, some guys get tender breast tissue when it’s that time of the month, listen to your body, don’t push yourself!
Treat yourself to some chocolate!
Tea!!! It’s so good!!!! And green tea can help with cramps!
Advil! I use it when my cramps get bad, sometimes I get headaches and it helps with that too! Don’t take more than six though!
Go under warm blankets with nothing but your underwear on, preferably soft blankets, it makes me feel like I’m in a soft cacoon
Oversized sweatshirts! Always good! Especially for dysphoria!
Wear comfy cloths, always good to feel good
Eat warm soup, feels nice in the tum tum
Don’t eat super greasy foods, it can make your skin break you even more! And there are already so many hormones making your skin do crazy thing you don’t want it to get worse! Also it can make cramps worse
Most of all listen to your body, don’t push yourself, and try to forgive it, it’s confused and doesn’t know that it shouldn’t be doing what it’s doing
For my trans guy followers!!!
So yes chocolate makes you feel good a lot of the time but also try to eat bananas a lot of the time if you’re craving chocolate your body wants potassium
So Your Temperate Home is Suddenly an Arctic Hellscape
As -10F hits area’s of the US who’ve never seen such temperatures in living memory, I wanted to give some tips from a Minnesotan who’s lived with these temps as a part of my life for 37 years.
1) Don’t Get Cocky. People used to these temps may laugh at our southern neighbors freaking out about the cold because yes, some parts of the US get such temps regularly every year. These people are being ignorant assholes. Our houses are mandated to have insulation that few of your homes will have. We pretty much all have huge puffy coats, and have well established winter weather gear drives for homeless and poor folks every year. We have expensive, well equipped infrastructure for cope with these temps and with large amounts of snow. You don’t. When it comes down to it, Minnesotans know to respect the cold temps- it’s just that a lot of the ways that do it are so commonplace as to be invisible to those who already have these habits.
2) Don’t go out wet. Dry your hair or stay inside. You will loose a lot of heat if you’re wet. Same for sweat, and wet diapers. And clothes with snow on them are now WET CLOTHES. Change into dry clothes as soon as possible.
3) If you have a shitty car battery or a car that sometimes struggles to start, then try not to use it. You’re unlikely to get the kind of temps where it’s impossible to start an engine (I’ve only experienced those temps a few times. Once my eyelashes froze shut and I almost froze to death in my own back yard. Don’t be like young me. Respect the cold.) If your car doesn’t start, you could be stranded somewhere, and realistically your area’s emergency services may be pretty overrun.
4) Very cold air doesn’t hold moisture well. Plan for extra hydration for people, pets, and plants. Even if your staying in- most home heaters pull cold air from outside, then dry it out even MORE in the process of heating it. Dehydration is a thing. Even if your home’s heater has a humidifier attached to it (if you’re not sure, then it probably doesn’t.) it’s a good idea to drink extra water. Right now I have a few pots of water just left out by heaters to evaporate as much as possible. My mom used to just heat huge camping pots on the stove all day in cold temps. Remember, dry nasal passages really muck up your bodies ability to fight airborne illness. This is not a great time for that.
5) Help out homeless folks in your area in any way you can. These temps can and do kill. And since we have more evictions than any society can conscionably defend this year, we have high numbers of homeless people. Which means area supports for unhoused folks are often underfunded and over-taxed.
6) Let your faucets drip. I know nobody likes to waste water but if your pipes freeze they will literally explode. Your home will flood. My mother’s kitchen got completely destroyed and it traumatized my childhood dog. Justa bit of moving warm water will safeguard you from that.
7) Do. Not. Burn. Propane. Indoors.
8) Plan for potential power outages. Ice on the lines can cause this and again, your infrastructure isn’t prepped for this. Unplug anything in your home you’re not using to do your part to help prevent rolling blackouts.
9) Driving on ice is a SKILL. Your roads may be filled with people who do not have that skill. Please please, stay off the roads if you can- even if you have this skill these roads will not be prepped and will, again, be full of people who don’t know how to do this because it just hasn’t come up that much in their life.
Stay safe and stay kind, folks!
I will also add: as someone with poor circulation, fingerless gloves are a lifesaver when doing computer work. They’re not always easy to find, but if you can find one of those pairs of cheap, thin, one-size-fits-all gloves (they usually just cost a dollar or two) and cut off the tips of the fingers, it’ll work great. They won’t look pretty, and won’t hold up for long, but they’ve saved me a lot of pain.
when you come in from the cold, drink something hot with sugar and fat in it (like hot chocolate) not freezing burns a lot of calories and a hot drink will help you warm up quicker
Reptiles and Power Outages
1. Do not feed your reptile. If your area is expected to lose power, you’ve got some advance notice. Reptiles NEED heat to digest their food; without that heat, that food is just going to rot.
2. Continue to offer water.
3. Know your reptile’s requirements. What’s life-threatening for one critter might only be a mild nuisance to another.
4. If you still have hot water, you can fill up some jugs with hot water and put these in your reptile tanks. Cover your reptile tanks with tin foil to conserve heat.
5. You can make small space heaters with a tea light, a pot, and something to elevate the pot by a few centimeters. Light the tea light and put the pot over it, making sure there’s a gap at the bottom so oxygen can still reach the candle. This produces more heat than you’d expect.
6. You can pack up your reptiles in reptile shipping boxes. These are insulated cardboard boxes. You can also use styrofoam containers. Line the bottom of the box with crumpled newspaper. You take your reptile, put them in a small container—-like a deli cup with holes poked into it or a critter keeper or something similar—-and put them on top of the newspaper, and kinda nestle some extra paper around it loosely. Insert a handwarmer between the box and paper layer, so it’s NEAR the deli cup but not in direct contact with it. Finally, cover them with more loosely crumpled paper to help conserve the heat.
It’s VERY important that your reptile does NOT come into direct contact with the handwarmer. These get VERY hot. They also consume oxygen, so airflow is essential.
You can also use reptile shipping packs. These tend to last longer (40 hour packs are the most common, but they can last as long as 72 hours).
7. Wood stoves are super helpful! Bring all your reptiles into one room and close the door. The goal is to keep one room cozy at this point.
You probably won’t be able to maintain the ideal temperatures for your animals, but don’t worry too much about that. These animals are hardier than that. Keep warm and keep safe!
If your r.ats and m.ice thaw out in the freezer, throw them out. They’re no longer safe for your reptile.
here’s an article explaining how the tea candle space heater thing is supposed to go (i wasn’t sure how the pot was supposed to be oriented), along with info about how it does and doesn’t work
I’ve been seeing the clay pot candle heater show up all over the internet, and it makes me very nervous that someone’s going to have a house fire because of these. The above linked article does list safety precautions, but they’re at the bottom of the article and also aren’t very thorough so WARNING:
1) As with any candle, these should be placed somewhere very stable and sturdy, where there’s no chance they’ll be jostled or knocked over. The surface it’s placed on should be non-flammable, as well.
2) The burning chamber inside will get quite hot. it can get hot enough to completely liqjify the paraffin inside, and even ignite it directly (not just the wick) this can lead to sudden flare-ups and bursts of flame, which of course would be extremely dangerous. For this reason, you shouldn’t burn more than one candle at a time in this style heater, because the more flames you have, the hotter it’ll get in the burning chamber, and thr more molten wax in the chamber, the farther a flare-up could potentially spread.
3) For this reason, you should take care that there is nothing over or around the heater that could catch fire in the case of a flare-up. You should also never burn this heater while you’re sleeping, or leave it unattended. If a flare-up happens, it can spread FAST. you should also have a fire extinguishing method within arm’s reach.
4) Wax fires are just like grease fires, from an extinguishing perspective. NEVER USE WATER ON A WAX OR GREASE FIRE. water will simply spread it. To put out a wax/grease fire, you can use a fire extinguisher rated for grease fires (check the side, it will say what types of fires it’s for), or if that’s unavailable, baking soda or salt. If you’re using a fire extinguisher, check to verify it isn’t expired, and that it’s rated for grease fires. if you’re using baking soda or salt, fill a container like a tupperware or box with an easily removed lid so you can quickly open it and pour it over the fire. Whatever you plan to use, put it somewhere you can grab it at a moment’s notice.
5) On the subject of water and molten wax, make sure there is NO water near this heater. I’ve seen people advising folks to perch a container of water on top of the heater to get some steam in the air, and this is a TERRIBLE idea. As mentioned above, the heat inside the burn chamber can be extreme, and the heat that’s transferred to the top of the pot can also be quite intense. This can be enough to crack or melt your water container, and if that happens (or even if the container is simply jostled), that water will slosh down into the burn chamber with the molten wax. You know how if you splash water into hot oil, it will immediately boil off and turn into steam and cause the oil to violently bubble and splatter? That’s exactly what it would do if water hits molten wax, except it will be wax and it will be on fire. DO NOT GET WATER NEAR MOLTEN WAX.
6) Fire burns oxygen. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but there’s so much advice about sealing off your rooms to keep the warm in and the cold out, so it’s worth mentioning: if you’re burning anything (even just a candle) you need to make sure you have some ventilation.
I know people are stuck between a rock and a hard place here, and I promise I’m not trying to finger-wag. I’m not saying don’t use these, but please- be aware of the risks and what you can do to mitigate them. Keep in mind that a house fire (while never a good thing) would be particularly dangerous now, when emergency services would have such difficulty getting to you, what with the snow and ice.

… and here is a gift for all of us.
Scientists invented fabric that makes electricity from motion and sunlight. To create the fabric, researchers at Georgia Tech wove together solar cell fibers with materials that generate power from movement. It could be used in “tents, curtains, or wearable garments,” meaning we’d virtually never be without power. Source
Y'all are fucking idiots. Clean energy will NEVER be enough to replace the energy we have now. We’d have to tear down DOZENS of forests just to fit enough windmills and solar panels to get even a QUARTER (probably less, tbh) of the energy we can produce now.
Yeah, sure, when they’ve already calculated that a few square miles of panels in the empty ass Arizona desert could power the whole nation. But ok, fracking and the diminishing petroleum supply is worlds better.
Nevermind that windmills are often most efficient off the coast. There they take up no land, impact no trees, don’t pollute the water, and are conveniently located where winds are often strongest anyway.
And solar panels can literally be built into roofs of buildings and in empty areas like deserts. The sun strikes the Earth with the same amount of energy in an hour that our civilization uses in a year.
But yeah, it would be impossible for us to ever have enough energy from clean sources.
Durr hurr technology is bad and I would rather light shit on fire than have clean energy
I can also testify to the Arizona desert being empty ass. And the California desert. And the Nevada desert.
also…no forests were cleared to make space for Denmark’s windmills and yet they regularly produce so much power that it covers almost all of the country’s power needs. Oh, and then there’s the times when the windmills generate 140% of Denmark’s power needs. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/jul/10/denmark-wind-windfarm-power-exceed-electricity-demand
Friendly reminder that oil pipelines are a scam.
The fact that anyone can believe a limited amount of dinosaur oil is more plentiful and efficient than moving air or fucking sunlight is proof that entire populations can be completely brainwashed.
And don’t forget wave and geothermal power.
The best place to install solar? Parking lots! Here’s the Community Mercantile in LFK:
Not only can it supply almost all the power needed for stores that build these, it also reduces ambient heating from the roasting pavement and keeps cars covered from the elements.
Everyone wins!
The ways we can produce sustainable, renewable energy grow by the year. There is zero reason to keep maintaining oil and natural gas industries!
There’s nothing wrong with being pansexual and there’s nothing wrong with being bisexual, and no matter the similarities or differences that may or may not be between them, both identities are valid and deserve love, respect, and representation.

The last one has a light yellow background and says “Bi and pan are both valid LGBTQ identities”.]

Also: don’t stigmatize HIV+ individuals because they all have different circumstances and might’ve gotten the virus from a variety of sources (sex, occupational, birth, blood transfusions in other countries).
HIV-related stigma remains a huge barrier to preventing HIV, and is linked to a low level of people testing for HIV.
The bad news is that Trump is cutting America’s spending on HIV year after year. He has taken steps to weaken the Affordable Care Act since coming to power.
prep is preventative, pep is what you take after initial exposure
In Capitalist America, sex education is on twitter and tumblr!
On PrEP for about three years now and my master’s degree focused on HIV, so if you have ANY questions about PrEP or HIV please DM me and I’ll be happy to chat. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, let’s chat about sex and HIV.
If you missed any or all of the Unus Annus livestream, here’s a summary of every hour:
~11 hours out: The channel name could’ve been Annus Singulos (they decided on Unus Annus at a Buffalo Wildwing)
They always planned on it ending on Friday the 13th NOT the 15th (@ MatPat)
The dude who interrupted the sex toys video was not a mailman, he was just some guy. He did not comment on the sex toy stuff.
~10 hours out: They look at memes. Mark “hook car batteries up to my nipples and I’ll say yes every time” Fischbach is NOT a masochist, he just wants to know what it feels like to be hit by a car
Frank!!! Frank!!!!!!!
Ethan is going to marry the microphone clip on his shirt
Dollar Shave Club never got back to them about a sponsorship
The workers including the actress in the escape room actually enjoyed having Mark and Ethan doing their shtick there
~9 hours out: Vincent the editor made a best of his edits throughout the videos, it was beautiful, it was mostly just clips of dying
He also wrote them a WHOLE DAMN ORIGINAL SONG!!! IN A WEEK!! About stopping the clock!!! He rapped!
Marcus the editor did a funny edits-roll as well, it was brilliant
~8 hours out: Rachel shows her edits roll! Some of the funniest clips in the whole series!
A comment they read: Mark can do any of his edgy project ideas now and that’s terrifying.
Mark: Just wait til you see my next project.
Their merch manager had to buy a 4th warehouse to produce all the merch that had been ordered
If anyone sees Unus Annus pictures or any reminiscence of it in the future and ask where it’s from we are supposed to respond with “You wouldn’t get it 🙄”
~7 hours out: they complain more about enema water gun
They re-watch the Pepper spray video. Mark talked about how he thinks about the pain whenever he sees videos of riotors/protestors getting sprayed. Everyone in chat chanted “BLM” and “ACAB” for a few minutes.
Lixian the editor had his edit reel played (”They make em (the people) pretty in Portugal”)
Mark was salty at Youtube because they claimed they didn’t make billboards for YouTube shows and hence, wouldn’t make a billboard for A Heist With Markiplier, but then later made one for James Charles’ show
Mark presented Amy with a BRAND NEW BUG WATCH 😭
Amy: No nothing on their (Youtube’s) Twitter, they’re not talking about it (Unus Annus)
Mark: Guess it’s not important enough…
Amy: They’re too busy tweeting about “World Kindness Day”
Mark: Oh yeah Friday the 13th 2020 wOrLd KiNdNeSs DaY
~6 hours out: Ethan compares the channel dying to putting down a dog. Things get serious for a beat, people in chat start crying.
They look at fanart for a while, Mark criticizes it like an asshole
They look at Pink Trombone again.
Mark and Ethan guarantee that after the channel is gone they will not forget about it. Mark also permits people to make creations / art after Unus Annus is deleted.
~5 hours out: They re-watch Pee Sauna, dying inside all the way.
DJ Burt Blackarach surprises them with a cake and champagne.
Chat is flooded with “❤🧡💛💚💙💜” messages for a while
Looking at memes again, Mark confirms that the noises that the radio made in SCP Amy were 100% just the radios, not them, making the sounds. They still don’t know why they made those sounds.
Mark and Ethan bed for 1mil like in order to see what’s actually in the Unus Annus casket. They might even lay down in it.
~4 hours out: We find out that the in the Children’s Games in Total Darkness video, the weird shot of them both in a trance staring into the phone screen was actually just them trying to adjust their eyes back to normal light and it wound up looking super cool.
Vincent’s highlight reel is played again while everyone takes a break, supposedly there is a “surprise” to be revealed soon.
A tattoo artist named Danielle comes on the set, Ethan says he’s going to get an Unus Annus tattoo live.
~3 hours out: More fanart. Mark admits that after this ends, he’s probably never going to wear his suit ever again, he might bury it. (There’s not much room left in his backyard)
Mark talks Danielle the tattoo artist’s ear off about how wholesome and educational the channel and not cursed his channel was.
Mark and Ethan then do a full 180 and confess to Danielle all their sins; cooking with sex toys, pee sauna, pee life straws, the pee soda idea, and drilldo, etc.
Amy: (while Eef’s getting tattooed) “Mark, he’s choosing to spend his last day in pain. And you’re not!”
Mark: (looking at a picture of a tattoo) How long do you think that tattoo would take?
Danielle: Probably 3 hours.
Mark: 3 HOURS?!?! That’s more time than we have to live!!
Alex, Mark’s trainer, made them a euology video. It was like a LORE-filled poem made of secret callbacks to the titles of past videos.
Ethan’s poem is done, it is a “ 00:00:00 “ on his left arm.
Stevie who runs the merch shop makes a guesst appearance. He self descirbes as “tired and sad and a little tipsy.” He seems both grateful and dead inside. He says he’s going to do a matching tattoo with Ethan.
Mark admits he was planning on not doing merch originally, but he’s glad he changed his mind.
~2 hours out: They talk about behind the scenes of Hee hoo. The reason Mark’s still wearing high socks during this is because of all the burs so he doesn’t scrape of his legs. Amy wrote the whole end credits story about Ethan meeting Michelle Obama and dying a tyrant.
Mark never got to watch Ethan kidnaps Mark, so they watch it.
They watch The Truth about Unus Annus, Amy surprises Mark with a white tophat. #Mark’sNewHat (it’s an extra large)
Mark and Eef make their last tweets as Unus and Annus
Mark got cool Unus Annus custom pocket watches for Ethan and Amy
~1 hour out: Things get serious. Mark and Ethan private the Unus Annus Instagram (so that no one else can take the Unus Annus handle) and delete all the posts.
Mark proposes that Amy be the one to hit the delete button at the end of the channel. They agree to do it together.
They hit 1 million likes. They open the coffin. There’s nothing in the coffin, but the inside it very pretty, split-colors silk. They take turns laying in it for the first time with the door shut. It’s comfy. Even Amy tries laying in it.
Mark says a short eulogy for Eef as Eef does for Mark. They both say a eulogy for Amy. They both get choked up. The coffin is now called the Cry Box.
They delete the Unus Annus Twitter. They set the Subreddit to private. Apparently there were no mods on that subreddit except Mark.
Mark finally confessed to Amy that he punched a hole in the wall. Amy was there when it was being patched up, but she fogave him anyway.
They play The Barrel and sing along. They thank their team. They thank the audience.
Amy comes down. They all put their hands on the computer. “Unus Annus.” the click delete. The channel is gone forever. Memento mori.
My favorite quotes from the stream (as I was able to jot them down as they were being said)
Don’t cry because it’s over. Cry because it happened.
What is a graveyard if not humanity’s hall of fame?
It’s like I’m fondling the balls of life.
Choose to spend time on what fulfills you, on what makes you happy… Every second is a chance to turn your life around.
When I die, I want to be an empty shell, having given every part of myself to creating.
The worst part of this was when the boiling hot piss shot out onto my foot.
No, that was pain; this is suffering. (technically from the pee sauna vid but they watched it during the stream it counts)
At the end of the day, you know: pizza’s pizza, piss is piss.
We have experienced something that no human ever has, and that’s incredible.
We’re not just two grown men who drank each other’s piss. We’re two grown men who bathed in each other’s piss.
How you respond to events that are out of your control defines you as a person.
Unus annus dot com: hey hey, wow wow.
I feel like a lot of people will feel lost tomorrow. And that’s okay.
It had to be a piece of us that we put out there… and then let go.
A year is many things to many people. But it is not forever.
“Memento Mori” has two meanings: remember death or remember that you will die, but also remember to live.
Edit: I have been told in the notes that I missed some absolute gems, so here’s a more complete list!
I’d cry myself to sleep if I wasn’t gonna be dead in five and a half hours.
Every second is just another chance to get dick.
Mark: I’ve never been hit by a car before, how do I know I won’t enjoy it? Amy: We could take this out to the parking lot if you want to test it.
I want to be Mr. Hybrid Wellness, now.
We’ve been edging Father Time for a whole year.
I wanna make it through this year and it kills me.
A second is nothing. But a second can change someone’s life.
