damn ,, hi yall 😭 as far as i know i don’t have a following on either lotusar or lcvertea, but i wanted to make a little announcement

That's what you had said when Cyno asked you to join him for a game of Invokation TCG. Cyno played the game very , well -- religiously. He took the game very seriously, at least more than the average person. So it was a complete surprise that you beat him.

"No. I calculated every move. I knew your next move. This can't be," Cyno muttered to himself, scanning over the board to make sure you didn't attempt any 'funny business'.

"I guess I'm just better," you teased, sending a smug look to Cyno. He simply scoffed in return before straightening up his posture and crossing his arm.

"It was pure luck," Cyno explained, clearly salty about how the match went.

"Luck or not, you owe me a sucker," you remarked, staring dead into Cyno's eyes. He raised his eyebrows at this, clearly unamused.

"I don't recall every telling you you'll get a sucker if you win," He stated, staring back.

"First off, that was because you were sooo confident you would win. And the winner should get something, right?" Cyno scoffed once more before agreeing, taking you to the closest candy shop.

"What flavor do you want?" He asked, looking at the many suckers in the bowl next to the counter. You pointed at your favorite flavor and Cyno payed for the sucker and attempted to hand it to you, not without noticing the way you tried to hold in a laugh.

"What did you do..?" asked Cyno, very cautiously as you walked out the store.

"Give me my sucker first," you demanded, tried to grab the sucker. Cyno retracted his hand before you could grab it.

"Tell me," A series of 'no' and 'yes' were passed back and forth before you finally gave in.

"Fine. I cheated," you mumbled embarrassingly, avoiding eye contact.

"I knew it. You know what, I'm taking this," He unwrapped the sucker and popped it into his mouth.

"Hey! You can't even give me a sucker that cost 1 mora?" you yelled. You snatched the sucker out if his mouth and put it in yours.

You and cyno stared at each other for a good 10 seconds, a deep blush appearing on both of you. To the usually stoic Mahamatra, he thinks it's the first time he's ever blushed this hard.

Cyno cleared his throat before taking a shaky deep breath, looking away as he does so. "Whatever, keep it. It was cheap anyway," he muttered, still attempting to get the blush off his cheeks. To the people passing by, they couldn't help but feel amused at the strange interaction between the feared general and the person next to him.

He could hear whispers of 'hey, are they dating? but isnt he cyno?' coming out of their mouths, which certainly didn't help his already red face.

You could tell was Cyno was thinking about.

"Just ignore them! Come on, let's go somewhere more quiet," you lightly placed your hands on his, dragging him away to who-knows-where.

At that moment, his cheeks and the tips of his hears grew as red as they could possibly be.

Cyno was definitely smitten for you -- there was no questioning it.

YAE MIKO X READER , ANGST.

archon quest ; inazuma, act 3 spoliers. this does not follow along with the exact events of act three of inazuma’s archon quest.

warnings ; death, mentions of blood, crying - lots of crying. this is kind of just, sad honestly -

started at ; 10:56 PM ON SEPTEMBER 3, 2022

authors note ; i’m so sorry for my inactivity, and by the date this was started, you can tell this has been sitting in the drafts for a while ( it’s literally november 4 now BEJAH ) - but i want to finish this!! let’s gooo - also, send me requests PLEASE <\3 i’ll be setting up my sumeru masterlist soon. and no this is not proofread, i never do that -

you said you would be back soon but, in the air was the scent of death. miko hoped it wouldn’t be you but - it was just wishful thinking, really. even she knew that.

blood was splattered on the sand, as your comrades died one by one. the mysterious traveler and their companion was there too, but the battle still had many casualties. the war was far from over, and as your blood dripped on the ground you knew that the end of the battle would not be seen by your eyes.

in the end, your only desire was to see her smile again. a real one. your beloved always wore a smile, assuming she wasn’t angry with anyone - but you knew she was lonely. your presence lightened up her world for centuries, but the fact still remained that her best friend was as good as gone.

as you recounted this, tears roll down your face. you hold your shoulder, putting pressure on it to stop the bleeding there but in the end - everyone knew you would die. you had a wound in your stomach, there was no way you could walk away from this. you chuckled at this realization, tears rolling down your face. general kujou stared at you in the distance with a pained expression. you turned to look at the traveler, the captain and the samurai who came to assist but they knew that that may be the last time they’d ever see you. you were happy to have met them, at least once.

you dropped on one knee, the pain too bearable to even stand but even then, you let out a grunt as you hit the ground. you smiled fondly at the thought of your beloved, as memories came flooding back.

you held her in your arms as she cried silently, shaking and muttering words like “i miss her already.” honestly, you missed ei too - but you also knew that this was her way of coping with the loss of her sister. you, were her sisters familiar. what yae is to ei, is what you were to makoto.

you muttered sweet words into her ear, comforting her. she didn’t respond, but you know she heard because after a while, she started dozing off. at this realization, you giggled and a faint smile stuck to miko’s face.

a century or two passed, and miko started to feel better. you knew she still longed for her friend, but you also knew she didn’t want to waste energy on being sad when she can use her energy to find a way to get her friend back. in this time, you joined the shogun’s army, as the puppet’s right hand.

the vision hunt decree had started, and as you wielded your hydro vision, a little part of you was filled with worry. you knew that miko likely wouldn’t lose her vision, but what about you? as far as everyone knew, you were a mortal. you were far stronger than anyone else in the army, but when it came down to it, you loved yae more than you loved the scent of victory.

every day, you would join her at the shrine. kisses on the forehead, testing your luck to see how the day would go, dancing with her in the shrine became a normal occurrence.

she would play with your hair as you both retold tales from your day, no two stories were the same and it brought you joy to know what she was up to.

you brought her gifts, smothered her with love beyond all else. her violet eyes would sparkle when she saw you, but she always chose to cover it up behind a facade. when she laughed, it felt like the world would stop for just a moment. sometimes, she would laugh so hard as to give up her facade of elegance, and you would see tears forming in the corners of her eyes. your heart skipped a beat, gods she made you breathless.

it was unfortunate that you would become breathless permanently, without ever seeing her again. as your eyes slowly started to close, you wondered how she would react. would she get ei out of the plane of euthymia? in a way, you hoped she would find love in ei instead of living in an eternal sadness. would she even be sad?

the battlefield was silent, as your breaths no longer filled the air. general kujou looked back at you, and ordered everyone to retreat.

a few days went by, and sara arrived at the grand narukami shrine. as far as yae knew, you were just busy - she needed to inform her, as she was the last one you had left.

sara’s face flushed in anger as the saw the traveler, a known criminal speak with yae - but she sighed. she would address that in a few, but for now ..

“guuji yae, we have some things to discuss.” kujou sara said, as she had an unreadable expression on her face. yae bid the traveler a temporary goodbye, as she got closer to sara.

“madame kujou, to what do i owe the pleasure?” yae had a playful expression, but she also wanted to ask about you. you would arrive at the shrine every day, but for the past three days, there was no trace of you being in the city, much less in the shrine.

“guuji yae, you are grand general ( name )’s ( very sure this rank does not exist in real life but it’s fine ) closest contact, yes?”

yae’s breath got caught in her throat, but she quickly straightened up and smiled fondly at the thought of you. “i am, why do you ask?”

“i regret to inform you that .. grand general ( name ) is deceased. they died on the battlefield three days ago, in the fight against the resistance.”

yae miko’s eyes widened, and her hand shot to her mouth as she fell to the ground in despair. kujou sara apologized, and she left the shrine. originally, she was going to arrest the traveler - but, that could be left for another time. she was a general, but she didn’t lack basic human empathy. guuji yae doesn’t need anything more on her, right now.

sobs wracked yae’s entire body, and the traveler looked to the ground in pity. they knew this was out of character for miko, but as far as they could tell, this shattered her entire world. traveler’s eyes widened as they heard a pitiful chuckle from her pink haired figure.

“fate, why must you be so cruel to me once again? they were the only one i had left.”

notes from tori: kinda shitty and has a bad ending. i love him so much though, and i’m currently writing an extremely long fic with him in it for halloween!! sorry for being so absent, hopefully this makes up for it!

His hand wound around your wrist like a bracelet, holding your twitching fingers still as he prodded at the wound on your forearm, frowning at the jagged gash that bled down your flesh. 

Tighnari was gentle, but there was something harsh in the way he smeared a personally engineered disinfectant across the injury, the pads of his fingers calloused. The breeze blew against your sweat dabbled neck, and you shivered. 

“Don’t move, please.” He commanded, “You’ve caused enough harm as it is. How many times do I have to tell you to be more careful?” An exasperation soaked his words in a way that sank guilt into the pits of your stomach. 

“It’s not like I did anything crazy.” You murmured bashfully, training your eyes on the way he rolled out a string of taupe bandages, the contrast striking against his copper skin. Tighnari sighed, looping the fabric around your arm a few times before speaking once more. 

“There’s a reason why it’s a common mistake and a reason why we have rules in place to prevent things like this from happening.” He scolded, ripping the bandage from the roll, tightening the vice grip it had around your limb. “A quick side-trip to an area where rishboland tigers are known to nest — unaccompanied, mind you — may seem unassuming, but if Collei hadn’t managed to find you, you’d no doubt be a carcass by now.” You winced as he tucked the frayed edges of the wrapping in with the rest, dragging his eyes from your hand to your face. You couldn’t bear to meet his gaze. “Must I remind you that you don’t have a vision? Not only that, but you’re still a trainee! The rule is—”

“I know, I know. Trainees can only patrol with an expedition team or a master forest ranger, but Tighnari, you were busy, and—” 

Your explanation held no weight, and you could practically feel the chagrin rolling off of the man in waves. Bearing the brunt of his frustration was almost worse than becoming tiger food (Tighnari would insist that you weren’t going to be food, it would’ve been a territorial attack—), and you wished more than anything that you could push his perpetual look of disdain into that quaint smile he always seemed to wear around you.

A weighted silence humidified the air, and each breath you took seemed to get heavier and heavier before it crushed you, and you finally mumbled an apology, staring holes into his patiently resting hands.

𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 you are again , tighnari patching up your newest injury while you mumble out a series of ‘sorrys.’ It was always this way . Tighnari was the reliable one and you , well - not so much. this time it was your ankle . tighnari was kneeling and stumbling with the bandages that were in his hands , trying his best to ensure that you’ll have a full recovery . “ im sorry , ‘nari . im trying to do better , really ! i - “ tighnari interrupts you with a loud , exasperated sigh .

“ could you stop apologizing ? i’m trying to focus . apologize after .” tighnari doesn’t even look at you as he says this - he simply continues bandaging .

“ sorry . oh - uh . “ your face flushes a light pink. god , have you always been this stupid ? tighnari let’s out his first smile since you got injured , and you can’t help but smile too . ah - but that smile is quickly gone as he regains his focus once more .

tighnari places the last of the bandages and let’s out a sigh before saying “ all done . don’t put pressure on it , alright ? stay on my bed for now . “

you quickly feel the heat rise to your face at the realization . but , haha , why did it matter ? it not like you liked him . . right ? so why are you getting flustered ? it was only his bed ! it wasn’t like you were sleeping together . maybe . “where will you sleep then ? “ you asked . after all , it was nearly 10 pm .

“ hmm . . well , im not sure . i’ll figure it out though , don’t worry . “ your nervousness was quickly replaced with guilt , and you immediately felt like apologizing once more before quickly stopping yourself. lying down on tighnaris bed . oh . if you had known that this is what would’ve happened when you injured yourself , then you would never have been so reckless .

“u - um , well - tighnari . “ you begin , looking in every direction except the man you’re talking to . forget eye contact. tighnaris heart seems to beat quicker at the way you say his name , and he lets out a few breaths to lower his heart rate .

“ if you want , you , um , can lay down next to me . i don’t mind at all . “ you finally look at tighnari once more to observe his reaction , but what you wouldn’t expect was a man who’s face was as red as a tomato . but it’s not because he likes you , no . it’s because it’s a generally weird offer . yep . or , at least , that’s what you’re telling yourself . suddenly you regret what you had said. he has definitely found it strange . oh - he must hate you now . no , why did it matter to you anyways ?

“ a - actually , just . . . forget what i said . “ you stumble over your words , feeling embarrassed .

“ well , i don’t particularly mind either . “ he definitely minds . not in a bad way , of course . tighnari’s just never been this ‘ intimate ‘ with a person before . but if it’s you , then who cares ? not in that way . he thinks. maybe ?

if your face wasn’t red before , it was red now . “ oh . uh , okay . “ you shifted yourself to the edge of the bed so that tighnari has some space , careful to not put pressure on your ankle . but you fail . you let out a groan as you feel excruciating pain on your ankle , and tighnari is quick to your side . he gently places his hand on your ankle , tracing it up to your leg . the gesture alone is enough to bring butterflies to your stomach . why were you feeling this way ? tighnari carefully holds your leg , guiding it to where you moved , careful as to not push down on your leg .

“ that was stupid , (y/n) . do that again and i’ll sprain your other ankle too . “ tighnari threatens with a blank look on his face . yet , if you squint , you could see the slightest hint of worry and concern behind those amber eyes .

usually when hed lecture you , you’d respond with a snarky comment . but this time , you simply smiled and nodded . tighnari’s strict visage eased at the sight of you smiling .

he made his way to the other side of the bed before lying down next to you . you both simply stared at each other for a few seconds ( smiling , of course . what lovesick fools . ) before tighnari lets out a “ goodnight . “ you responded with the same , and tighnari closes his eyes .

“ thank you , ‘nari . “ you whisper , thinking that he wouldn’t hear you due to the sound of the loud crickets outside . “ you’re welcome . i get worried , so take care of yourself . “ and the stupid feeling in your stomach returns once more. needless to say , you didn’t have any bad dreams that night.

maybe it was time to admit that you liked each other .

as he walked into your shared room, he felt a strange energy in it. a body in his bed, yours, was asleep but he could see the dried tears on your face. you didn’t seem at peace when you were sleeping, either. you weren’t having a nightmare, but you definitely didn’t go to sleep with peaceful thoughts.

you woke up as you felt his weight on the mattress, as you grabbed his hand, you put it up to your face and held it there. he stared at you with pitiful, ruby eyes.

“y/n, my dear, are you alright? you seem troubled.” you nodded, and he heard a sniffle come from you.

“it’s just ,, been a hard day, luc. i’m sorry, that you have to see me like this.” his eyes slightly widen at that. do you think this is ,, an inconvenience to him?

he held your other hand as you sat up in the bed. “no, please don’t apologize. i understand you had an unpleasant day, and while i’m not the best with comfort i ,, want you to know that i’m here. always.”

a red, comforting gaze met your tired one. your eyes filled with tears, and a few rolled down your face. “i just ,, wish my day went better than it did.”

you slowly leaned into his shoulder, one of his hands by your side and the other wrapped around your shoulder. he kissed your forehead, “it’s okay to feel things. i know it feels bad, though. so, please, let go of any emotions you have. i have all night, my entire life, even - for you.”

as you walked into her office, she saw your slightly trembling figure. did you get injured during one of your missions of the day? she stood up, and grasped your shoulders lightly.

she felt you lean into her shoulder, and hug her. it surprised her a little, and if you had seen her expression you would have been able to tell - perhaps, on any other day you would’ve giggled and kissed the tip of her nose and teased her about it. but, today was different.

“y/n? did something happen? are you okay?”

your shoulders shook even more at her question, and she felt wet, warm teardrops hit her shoulder. her eyes widened, and she pushed you away slightly to cup your face with her hands.

you sighed shakily, “i’m sorry, grandmaster - you shouldn’t have to see me like this. it’s unprofessional.”

jean stared at you with her worried, blue eyes. “no, no. i’m glad to see you here, and above all else, you’re my beloved. what happened, my dear?”

your gaze avoided hers, warmth spreading through your cheeks out of embarrassment. “i just ,, today ,, well ,, today went badly. i got all of my missions done, without too much trouble but ,, i still feel sad, for some reason.”

she pulled you into a hug, and rested her chin on top of your head. “i understand the situation well enough, y/n. i also understand how you feel ,, you have a right to feel upset, even for what you might think is no reason. you always have my support, dear y/n.”

as he appeared in the teapot, he quickly walked inside the “home” that was within after greeting tubby. after his commissions for the day, he was really looking forward to seeing you! as he walked near the door, though, he heard sniffles from inside.

he cracked open the door just a bit, to see you frantically wiping your tears and hoping he didn’t see any. you walked up to him with a struggling smile on your face.

“aether! hi, it’s ,, really nice to see you.” you hugged him, and he held you there questioning his next move.

“y/n, are you alright? i heard and saw you crying, did someone hurt you?” you could see complete worry clouding his golden eyes.

you held his arms there, and he watched as your eyes pooled with tears. you held him tight again. “aether i ,, i’m sorry to trouble you, really. i know you had a long day of commissions, i don’t want to take too much of your time -“ he cut you off, “y/n, please i - i want to take care of you, if you’re upset. we all have days that are bad, i’m more than happy to help you in any way i can. and ,, if it makes you feel any better, commissions weren’t hard today.”

you hug him tightly, and he buries his face into your shoulder. “thank you, aether.”
