LYNEY
You're currently at one of Fontaine's finest restaurants, food as extravagant as the former Hydro Archon herself.
You sit in front of Lyney, letting him gossip about his latest performance, and the onslaught of mora they had thrown. He speaks excitedly, animating the scene with his hands, grinning everytime your eyes light up at a particularly exaggerated scenario.
Suddenly, you lean over the table to take one of his croquettes, something the magician doesn't even blink at, until you hold forkful in front of his mouth, pausing his rambling with the hovering food.
He's about to let himself be fed by you so he can continue his rambling, eyes sparkling with mischief but not commenting, until you speak.
“Eat up, Lynette.”
He blinks. Hard. A smirk graces his before he theatrically places a hand on his head, exclaiming dramatically, “My beloved, calling me another's name! How tragic, mon amour has deemed someone better, more worthy..”
You can't help but chuckle at the sight, rolling your eyes as you watch him flail.
“I've been replaced by my own sister! Our names are similar, but not that similar! How utterly cruel, merciless, ruthless—” his words are cut off by his mouth being stuffed with his meal. He bites, and swallows obediently, contentedly eating and immediately dropping the whole ordeal at being fed.
“These are really nice,” Lyney remarks, reaching for his own fork and grabbing another, but before he eats it he mutters one last thing, “unlike some people…”
AETHER
You've been talking with the Traveller for the past hour, holding his hand as the two of you stroll through the outskirts of Mondstadt.
"Paimon thinks today is super sunny! The perfect day for shopping," Paimon exclaims, hovering in front you two with a mischievous smirk.
"Why would we want to go shopping?" you ask, narrowing your eyes at Paimon's expression.
"Ehe, no reason! Wouldn't it just be so nice to be together! It is Traveller's birthday tomorrow!" Paimon suggests knowingly.
Speaking of which, you can't help but grin. Are you about to do something you'll regret? Yes. But are you that reckless? Also yes.
"Oh yeah, happy early birthday, Lumine!" you remark.
Aether doesn't realise at first, "Thanks!" ..but then he blinks. Hard. "Wait, Lumine?" he echos.
"No, I said Aether!" you reply.
"Paimon's pretty sure Y/N said Lumine.." Paimon adds unhelpfully.
"How do you even know her name, i've never-" Aether begins, but just sighs. You know a lot, honestly. He's learnt to stop asking you.
Still...
"Lumine.." he repeats with a slight pout, eyes becoming a touch glassy. Like a puppy being reminded it can't have treats.
"No wait, I'm sorry-!!" you flail.
He wipes his eyes, managing a shaky smile as he just echoes, "Lumine..." with a hint of longing.
You immediately wrap your arms tightly around the blond in apology. "It was a prank baby, I'm so sorry-" you ramble.
How could you? Make the sunshine cry? Just how cruel are you?
Thankfully for you, Aether is quite forgiving when it comes to those he loves. He wraps his arms around you and buries his face into your shoulder, mumbling incoherent sentences.
"Paimon's going to leave you two.. to it. Paimon will bring back some Fishermen's toast from Good Hunter.." Paimon says while slowly flying away. You throw her your pouch of Mora without taking your eyes off Aether, raking a hand comfortingly through his golden hair.
He's crying, but you don't mind. "It'll be okay, she'll come back to you eventually. It's just an emo phase.."
DILUC
You've been sitting in Dawn Winery for a few hours now, waiting for your husband Diluc to finish his shift quietly. He'll talk to you whenever there's no customers to serve as you sit at the bar, and he'll refill your drink whenever it finishes.
However, while you don't mind waiting, it's.. boring. Usually, you'd have Venti or Dahlia to gossip with, but the bard is out doing archons knows what, and the deacon is currently preaching.
Which leaves you, tragically, alone. Not even Kaeya is here.
..actually, while you think of it, that might just by one way to get your beloved's attention!
"Would you like another refill, my love?" Diluc asks casually at noticing your empty glass, already with the bottle.
"Yes please," you say. After taking a sip of the drink, right before Diluc turns, you add, "Thanks, Kaeya."
Diluc pauses. And then he slowly turns to you, eyes slightly narrowed. Whether in confusion or annoyance is something not even you can't fully decipher.
And at seeing the pull of a faint smirk on your lips? The redhead just sighs. "You've been spending too much time with him."
Before you can reply, he adds, "What part of me screams 'Cavalry-less Cavalry Captain' to you, dearest?" the term of endearment is sarcastic, but the insult isn't.
You snicker before you can think otherwise, which just earns you an eye roll. "It was a joke!" you exclaim.
"And was he, by chance, the one who sparked that idea into your mind?" Diluc deadpans knowingly, tone deceivingly flat.
"Maaaaybe," you sing song back unapologetically.
Diluc just blinks, and faces another customer, ending the conversation with nothing more then, "Stay away from him. We'll talk about this later."
"Love you, Diluc!" you retort playfully, blowing him a kiss from your seat.
"I love you too, darling, but archons you give me a headache sometimes."
KAEYA
Hand in hand with the Cavalry Captain Kaeya, you walk through the city of Mondstadt idly.
You talk with anyone you know who passes –which is predictably most, if not all, of mondstadt. Kaeya let's you do so without compliant.
Of course, there's the few that ask why Kaeya isn't on patrol, but they're always met with 'My job is to watch over Mondstadt, and by being in it, I'm doing exactly that! Is it so wrong of me to want to do so beside my princess?'
All is going well, your boyfriend showering you with mora galore for your mini shopping spree, until-
"Hey Diluc, could you please-"
You're cut off with a gasp. You blink and turn to the Cavalry Captain, tilting your head as if unaware of what you did to elict such reaction.
"D-did I just hear that right? No, surely not! Diluc?" he even dramatically stutters, playing the part of a scandalised victorian widow.
You roll your eyes, crossing your arms over your chest, as Kaeya continues, "His colour pallette could never replicate this, princess."
As Kaeya theatrically gestures to himself, you can't help but smirk, even as you bite down a chuckle. "Kaeya.."
"So rude.." Kaeya mutters, before he extends his hand, a celilia in his hand. "And to think I was about to give a gift o my beloved.. Fine, go ask Diluc for flowers instead!"
Since when did Kaeya have that? You haven't even walked past Flora, yet his hands were empty minutes ago..
However, unbeknownst to you, deep down, Kaeya is a touch hurt. Calling him the name of the one person he knows he could never replace? Kaeya wouldn't stop you if you randomly woke up and decided to go for Diluc instead.
Diluc's responsible. Stiff slightly, yes, but caring. Mature. Wiser than he acts. Not a drunkard. Everything Kaeya knows he can't replicate..
Thankfully for his pride, even if you don't notice, you manage him up without even realising (as always) by saying, "Don't be dramatic, you're mine, and I'm yours."
It's like you can read his mind sometimes, honestly.
So he just chuckles, kisses the plant before placing it in your hair, and intertwines his fingers with yours once more.
a/n so i took the whole "aether is an alien" thing and ran away with it (aka aether has a strange way of expressing interest and you just think he's weird)
aether x reader, ayaka&reader&yoimiya, plus my yoimiya bffs w paimon agenda
special feature: earthtooz beta reading the fic, “aether you're so weird back tf up.”
"This is from... Miss Ying'er, you said?" Ayaka turns the bottle in her hands, her grip careful, deliberate—with the grace of a princess. Like she's trying to recreate the procedure in her head.
Yoimiya holds her perfume by the neck and inhales a lungful. "Wow, this smells amazing! Are you sure I can just have it?"
You laugh, amused as Yoimiya dabs it all over her body enthusiastically without even waiting for your reply. "Yeah, don't worry. She just offered me a bunch of samples. You like it?"
Ayaka nods approvingly, still fixated on the miniature vial. She seems endearingly fascinated. "This scent is phenomenal. I might have to ask you to deliver me a box of this next time you go."
You busy yourself with teaching them the best points to apply the perfume, the scents heightened by the dewy atmosphere of the forest. As you sit in a circle on the grass, you share laughter and stories from your extended trip to Liyue. Nothing could ruin this relaxing moment. Yet just as Ayaka offers for you to try on her perfume, Yoimiya gasps and sits upright.
"Oh, oh! I just remembered—Aether is coming over today!" Yoimiya claps eagerly, buzzing with energy. "It's been a while since he's visited Inazuma."
You frown. "Oh."
Ayaka gasps lightly. "He returns today? We should welcome him back."
"Honestly, he should be at the city right now." Yoimiya gathers herself, dusting off blades of grass as she rises to her feet. Without warning, she reaches for your wrist and begins pulling you off the ground.
"Wait, wait, wait." You pull away from Yoimiya's grasp. "I never said anything about joining you."
"Why not?" Yoimiya mirrors your insulted expression. "Hold on, do you have beef with the Traveler?"
Ayaka's fingers press to her mouth, eyes alight, like she's just heard the gossip of the century.
"No, no, it's nothing like that!" you burst out frantically. "We're just not close. Like—um, how you guys are with him, I assume."
"Did he do something?" Yoimiya asks, seriously concerned.
"He's just a bit strange."
"Hm." Ayaka taps an index finger to her chin. "I'd say he's more polite than strange."
Your nose wrinkles involuntarily, memories of your first impression of him flashing back. "Polite?"
Yoimiya exhales dramatically. "Alright. I don't know what's going on, but we're not leaving you here—not after it's been months since we last saw you! You're coming with us."
You turn to Ayaka for help, but she already has her gaze casted away as if expecting it. Accepting defeat, Yoimiya cheers, hooking an arm under yours as she hauls you off before you could sag to the ground. Ayaka follows after, smiling as Yoimiya practically drags you back to the city, her trail smelling like freshly-picked Liyue-exclusive flowers.
It doesn't take long to find the Traveler's whereabouts—practically everyone is gushing about his presence and how lucky we are to catch him before he goes! You three discover them walking around the streets of Tenryou, lugging a cart full of street food and packages of what you could only assume are gifts handed by the locals.
"Hi, Yoimiya, Ayaka!" The little floating creature next to the Traveller waves her hands around excitedly. "It's been a while!"
"Hi, Paimon!" Yoimiya exclaims, doubling the energy and stretching her arms for Paimon to barrel towards her chest with a thud.
As you and Ayaka watch the two spin around like separated sisters with fond smiles, you don't notice that Aether has pretty much snuck up behind you until you can practically feel his presence.
You damn near shriek, jumping away as he grins and crowds your space like it's not entirely improper.
"We meet again," he says cryptically.
"Archons," you mutter, terrified.
Yoimiya smacks her fist to an upright palm, as if she's just solved a year-long agonized riddle. "So you have met!"
"You didn't believe me—"
"Yeah! We met Y/N before!" Paimon whizzes over to your personal bubble as well, circling around your head a few times. "Back when we were in Liyue before we left to Sumeru, the Traveler wanted to strike up a conversation."
"Seems like it was very one-sided," Ayaka muses, unforgivably entertained by your distress.
"Yeah, Y/N was a little…" Paimon said with a grimace, missing the way you inch away as Aether eyes you, like he's fascinated by seeing you in a completely different environment.
"Anyway!" Paimon claps once. "What were you guys doing? Not to be weird, but, Yoimiya, you smell so different!"
Yoimiya waves her hand dismissively, appearing coy. "Oh, please."
"No, seriously, you smell like Liyue," Paimon says. "Like you rolled around Silk Flowers. It smells really good, though!"
Ayaka giggles. "Y/N brought home a box of perfume handmade by Miss Ying'er from Liyue, that must be why. We were trying them out."
"Really?" Aether pipes up, not even bothering to address Ayaka directly.
It feels as though your face erupts in flames as Aether angles close enough to dip his head close to the side of your neck.
Your brain seems to have melted out of your ears, warmed his proximity. "Hey—"
"Smells good to me," Aether says, the words holding the same warmth one would give to a five-star meal. Like Ying'er was awaiting his approval.
Yoimiya shares a confused glance with Ayaka. "Y/N's... not wearing any perfume."
Aether doesn't appear deterred by that, unashamed and virtually all over you the same way he was when he found you bored, eating alone at one of Liyue's outdoor stalls.
"Aether is acting weird again," Paimon sighs, like it's an everyday occurrence. "Paimon swears he acted like that last time, too—like giving a dog a bone. Can't snap him out of it."
Yoimiya and Ayaka conceal their laughter behind their palms, though fruitless by the curve of their eyes.
"Must be an alien thing," Yoimiya says, not sounding pitying in the slightest. "Poor thing."
a/n hi guys i swear i didn't get weird while i was gone this has always been my niche </3 i haven't played since natlan update but i still adore these characters, so i thought why not ease back into it with the sixosix favorite: aether
Aether has wandered his whole life. Hopping from planet to planet, leaving behind thousands of people like they were nothing more than another word on a piece of paper, he didn’t stay, he visited. He was used to the life of travelling, of leaving behind those he’d met. It was his nature, his life, but you… you made him rethink that.
Another Teyvatian, someone who was buried in their own life struggles, yet still made time for him. When you two met… it was as if something had just—clicked. It wasn’t loud, wasn’t obvious, but it was there. It was there in the way secrets slipped like they weren’t meant to be kept. It was there in the way his eyes would linger on the curve of your smile, the way his ears would listen to your every word.
Before Aether had known it, he had fallen hard. So, he took a step he hadn’t ever taken before. He established a relationship outside of familial bonds. His hands followed his eyes, fingers trailing over your skin like you were something even supernovas couldn’t create. Now, he wouldn’t hold back his thoughts on your beauty, he’d softly compliment the way your smile curved, the way your eyes crinkled. He said it all, because he had so much he never did say.
It was a couple of years later into his travels when things began to escalate. Yet another region, yet another dead end in the questions of this world. Every answer led to more questions, and every question took thousands of pages to solve. The stress was building, yet you stayed by his side through it all. Stretching letters from your home region, they always reached him, no matter where.
On a damp night in Sumeru, Paimon fast asleep and the campfire crackling beside him, he read over the last line of your newest letter, and that’s when he made the decision. You had been there for what already felt like eternity, and he couldn’t fathom continuing on without you by his side. He wanted you to see the stars with him, watch planets unravel by his side once he completed his quest here.
The thought of you leaving… it was unbearable, so you bet he instantly made his way to your residence — taking a rather long detour just to show up at the very door of your house, knuckles tapping hard against the surface of your door.
When you answered, his presence unexpected but not unwelcome, the words practically spilt from his lips. He’d been rehearsing over the days, practicing what to say in his mind, but all that had been forgotten, and now it was just his heart guiding him on what to say. He spilled it all, wrote you a palace constructed by his words, and he promised you everything.
“I’ve made thousands of acquaintances — met millions of people… I’ve seen them all go, left them behind, but you… you make me want to stay. You make me want to forget it all, to stand by your side and watch stars die as we continue to live. I don’t… I don’t know how to properly go about this, how it should all be done… but I know that I can’t continue another journey without you by my side. Please… marry me.”
The words stun you, your groggy form immediately springing awake. This was so sudden, like the world had flipped upside down. You were stunned into silence for the first few breaths after he finished blabbering words, but your stupor faded quickly, and what was left behind was an ecstatic acceptance, a wide smile and a squeal of joy as Aether lifted you into his arms.
His lips brushed over yours in a sweet caress, whispering croaked praises through the joyous tears that sprung from his eyes. He was shaking, adrenaline flooding through him, but he was happier than he ever thought he would be again.
VENTI
The dusk is quiet. The towering stone walls of Mondstadt sit miles away, yet the wind carries the soft sounds of the town squares music like it was only metres away. The strumming of instruments is accompanied by the rustle of leaves, light in the cool breeze of the dawning night, and birds sing soft lullabies as they settle in for the night.
Beneath a statue that oddly resembles him, Venti sits beneath the radiant and winged figure of his past and gracious self. Touched by divinity, his hands carefully pluck away at the woven strings of his lyre. He’s careful, concise, graceful in a way that only a thousand years of practice could behold. When his symphony ends, it’s due to the crunch of gravel approaching, the emeral of his irises raising.
You approach, quiet, expected, something he had known was coming long ago. Between all the fleeting figures in his life, Venti thinks you might be the one he writes the most about. Even in his free time, lyrics of unspoken melodies fly from his lips, telling tales of your gentle eyes, the way the wind carries your laughter, the way the sun glistens against your hair.
He watches as you approach.
“You… said you wanted to talk to me?” The words are slightly nervous as they spill from your lips, yourself having already taken a seat on the stone steps beside him. You’re nervous, and maybe it’s because of the ominous message Venti had delivered earlier, or maybe it’s because his usual giggles and sarcastic jokes didn’t fill the air.
Venti’s clutches his lyre tighter. Not in a firm way, or a way that suggests he’s upset, but rather in a way that speaks of him preparing for something. The god of the wind, the god of freedom, gentle yet ever so mysterious in his existence. He smiles at you, soft, graceful, then his eyes turn back to his instrument, and another tune begins to play.
“I suppose I did, didn’t I? No need to have such a look on your face, my ever so sweet Cecilia! What I call you hear for is not a declaration of agitation, but profound adoration. The wind whispers of you… Y’know?” He’s sly with his words, speaking in riddles that make your heart both beat lighter yet more unsteady at the same time.
“It sings of your soul… strums the to tune of you becoming whole. It tells me about you, about the way your hair softly sways beneath its touch, the way your heart beats against its feel… the wind is always with you, it is eternal… yet it can’t help but wonder if you will always be with it?” The music pauses, and Venti gazes at you for a moment.
“Will you marry me, cecilia?” The question finally leaves his lips, and you almost think the breeze is playing tricks on you. You’ve long been aware of his status, of his status on the stage of gods, yet despite all this — you’ve managed to love him as if he were human. Sometimes it was painful, knowing that the two of you would likely never go further, yet hearing that question, all those previous solemn doubts fly out the window.
It’s quiet for a moment, the sun setting over the ocean. You let orange light flutter against your skin, painting your face in an orange hue. Then, your lips move, and from them a ‘yes’ echoed. Venti hears it, the wind carries your barely audible words to him, and he grind wide, as if he knew already that that would be your answer.
XIAO
Xiao doesn’t indulge in mortal customs, not until you came along anyway. Starting off as just another acquaintance, another mortal in the crowd, your quick to stand out in his eyes. He doesn’t know why, doesn’t know how, but his heart quivered in your presence. Not with fear, but with a longing. He’s loved before, loved his friends, his comrades, but nothing quite like this.
This makes his heart stutter, makes his hands feel clammy beneath the fabric of his gloves. He stays silent for months, yet after some consultation with a certain someone, and some thorough explaining and reassurance, Xiao gathers the courage to admit his ‘feelings’ to you. He awkward, nervous, unable to articulate his words like he normally does, but he’s honest.
From there, Xiao finds himself picking up more mortal tendencies than he thought he would. He finds himself wondering if he should perhaps purchase things that he sees in traders passing carts, not for himself, but for you. He finds himself wondering what it would be like to get closer to you, despite his own fears about his karma.
Through this, your bond grows stronger, and he grows more desperate in his urges to get closer to you. Yet, he thought this was as close as he could get, that this was the furthest he could take everything — for your safety, but on one quiet night, when he returns from a battle and ideas flutter around his gifted room at the inn, he hears something you mention.
Marriage. A mortal tradition, one that symbolises the strengthening of unions, one that binds souls and enunciates love. That one word that was first introduced by you soon lives in Xiao’s head rent free, and from there it’s as if a switch had flipped in the opposite direction.
Xiao’s begins to collect items, special ones, ones that both hold physical and sentimental meaning. He begins to bring you flowers on the days building up, qinxins, glaze lilies, anything that breathes of your beauty in his eyes. Finally, one the day he decides to finish it all, he brings you into the mountains of Jueyun Karst.
Atop the mountains, the golden fields of Liyue and rocky labyrinths lingering below like sacred temples, Xiao lets the thin air settle lightly between you two, a specially crafted pendant held awkwardly in his hands. He made it himself, infused it with his own power, one that would ward off evil spirits, he even tied the knot himself. Every inch of it was handmade, with both precision and longing.
When his eyes flicker up to meet yours, you can see the nervousness in them, the quiet reluctance, not toward you, but toward himself. He wonders if he’s enough, if after all this sin, he still deserves the purity of your heart. Though, beneath all the pain and sorrow, the brightness of your presence breaks through it all, breathing way to a path for him, one that leads into something more hopeful.
“I… am not familiar with such emotions, yet, I find myself wanting to be closer to you. This—is a pendant, I… made it myself. It’s intended purpose is to ward off evil spirits, I hope that, in the rare moments I am not in your presence, it will keep you safe,” he swallowed nervously.
“Mortal emotions confuse me, but, when I am near you, I only wish to be nearer. I do not deserve a life with you, an eternity with you… but I hope for it. Will you accept this gift, and marry me?” He finished off in a final breath, his shoulders loosening, the tension of a warrior's memories fading away, giving life to a softer version of himself, one that looked at you reverently.
To see Xiao let his walls down like this, it was rare, but the willingness he beheld spoke volumes. He was stepping into territory unfamiliar with himself, territory that no Adepti had likely stepped into before, and he was doing it all for you. It made your heart ache, not just with hope, but with something stronger, something that existed like the blood in your veins.
Xiao seemed to almost recoil at your silence, but his actions were swiftly cut off as you pulled him into a tight hug. He stiffened, arms hovering as if he didn’t know what to do with them, but they soon settled around your waist as repeated ‘yes’s left your lips, and soon he could feel tears staining his shirt. He assumed they were ones of joy, ones that spoke of your acceptance, and he accepted them with diligence.
KAZUHA
The quiet of Inazuma was something that couldn’t be compared to any other place. While Mondstadt was peaceful, wind whispering in ears — Liyue was golden, harsh and crisp with a refined elegance — Inazuma was brittle with something ancient, something that held secrets no mortal would ever come to uncover.
On a beach that’s rocky, waves whipping against stones like the crackles of thunder that roared in the distance, both you and Kazuha sit next to one another, untouched by the cold sting of the water, simply observing, quiet. Neither of you turned to look at one another, but that didn’t matter, the silence was comfortable enough.
Dating Kazuha was like floating down a lazy river. He was so calm it was contagious, and despite problems arising from nooks and crannies, he always had a way to solve them, whether it be through whispered poems of adoration or compromises thought up on the spot, he simply knew the way.
You could never imagine replacing him — and nor could he you. The quiet days like this particularly reminded you of that, where you both got to sit, staring at the waves in silence, smelling salt and seaweed in the air. Maybe if you were lucky, Kazuha might tell you what the winds whispering, or maybe he might thread and lazily bandaged hand through your own. That’s what he usually did anyway.
Yet… despite all this familiarity, something unspoken tapped against your sense, as if calling to you from somewhere you weren’t privy to. Today felt different, different in a way you couldn’t exactly pinpoint. It wasn’t a bad different, far from it — but it was different, and you want to know exactly why.
Though, the answer seemed to come to you, instead of you having to seek it out. Kazuha spoke up, his voice still soft as it always had been. “The wind’s being a comedian today…” he huffed a laugh, a small smile steadily imprinted on his face. You turned your head to him with a raised eyebrow, your own mouth turning upwards into a smile.
“Mmh? What’s it joking about this time?” You cocked your head to the side, eyes lingering on the soft curve of his side profile, gazing lazily at the strands of white hair that cascaded down his face, a blazing red mixing within the threads of ivory.
“It’s telling me to simply propose to you already.”
“…”
“What?”
Kazuha turned to you, his smile still the same. One of his hands went to his pockets, fishing out something you hadn’t noticed. A small pouch, tiny, yet delicate in a way you couldn’t fathom. Your hands shook as he extended you the bag, placing it gently down in your palms, his hands lingering softly.
Inside was a promise, an unspoken dedication to the both of you. You didn’t even realise that you’d begun to cry until his hands cupped your face, brushing away the tears with a comforting touch. Archons, you’d kissed him right then and there, and that had sealed the deal. He didn’t need a poem for this, all it took was the actions of his affection, and the deal was sealed.
HEIZOU
Having a detective as a partner meant he knew how to work his way around. You never even noticed that he’d begun preparing some kind of surprise until word made way back to your own ears from someone on the street. It was a passing comment, a murmur about how the ever so popular Shikanoin was making his way through stalls, talking to people about… romance, jewels, gifts.
You didn’t quite know what to think of it all, and you did end up asking him about it — but, the ever so sly detective had waved off your queries, claiming a job had him running through jewellery stores looking for a thief that had been slowly building popularity. You bought it, of course, why wouldn’t you? He didn’t have any reason to lie to you, did he? Plus, his job often had him rushing around like a wild hare, chasing down leads and criminals every day.
But in the toil of the weeks, truth soon came to pass, and it was loud. Turns out Heizou was not chasing down criminals — not jewellery thieves anyway. Instead, he was on a chase personal to himself, a chase for the best gift to hand to you, a gift that he hoped you would wear and cherish forever, a gift that he hoped would start a fire that would never burn out in your heart.
Beneath the bliss of the stars, constellations of fates and divine prophecies watching from the heavenly realm of the sky, Heizou and you sat in the wilderness, a campfire lit between the two of you. He’d insisted on taking you out to watch the stars, that something special would happen that night, something that would never come by again.
While not being much of an astrology enthusiast, you weren’t going to pass up and opportunity to spend a night beneath the stars with Heizou.
As the night bled deeper, it turns out the special event was one of his own doing. It started with harmless flirtation, a playful bickering between the two of you as sly smirks traded words and eyes glinted with something more — but when the firelight grew dim, a small orange blaze remaining, Heizou revealed it all, pulling out a carefully crafted hairpin that seemed as if it were made by the gods themselves.
Blended with metal that seemed far too expensive for its own good and adorned with jewels that matched both the colour of his eyes and your own, he offered it to you without faltering. Swiftly, he turned a simple flirt into a full-on declaration, claiming that “if you’re willing to be so bold, then let’s get married.” He didn’t stutter, didn’t falter, just proclaimed the sentence as if it were the word of the world, and you listened.
The hairpin threaded itself into your hair, careful, precise, yet oh so meaningful. It was a promise, a sacrifice, a gesture of the affection set out between you two.
You cried that night. Not out of sadness, not out of regret or longing, but out of an overwhelming sense of belonging. With him — beneath the stars, that’s where you belonged, and that too is where he belonged. Like a puzzle finally clicking together, the two of you moulded with one another like a ceramic vase being pieced together. With him, you would never be alone again.
ITTO
Itto isn’t serious, not by a long shot, in fact, you were surprised that he’d even wanted to get into a relationship with you, but when you realised he was serious, you couldn’t have been any more over the moon. The oni was childish, yes, but that was what made him him. He grinned like the world knew nothing else and he laughed as if the sound was a symphony.
His was ditzy, but he was sweet. He shamelessly let compliments roll off his tongue, was always gentle despite the claws that extended from his hands, and never once did he ever attempt anything less than the most. Itto was the one and oni, the one and oni for you. You’d known that, known that for awhile, but what really settled the situation was when he suddenly took you out to a dinner that looked like it took a team effort.
Sitting on a blanket too colourful for the occasion and having all sorts of sweets layered around like an intoxicating invite, Itto binged with you as the sun set over the rocky cliffs of the beaches of Inazuma. He joked, laughed like normal, but something else peeked through whenever he’d turn a little too red, his words fumbling for a moment.
It all crumbled when finally, silence overtook, the normally boastful and prided Itto turning into nothing more than a blustering mess of red and stutters as he fumbled to reach for something you hadn’t seen just yet. With an awkward laugh, he gave a speech mixed with pure joy, nervousness and an overuse of slang directed all towards you, all while revealing an Onikabuto that looked gorgeous.
You had never been one to be too interested in the bugs or the battles he fought with them, but seeing the shimmering iridescence of the beetle that Itto had managed to find in your exact favourite colours, that was enough to speak of his dedication to you. He’d told you many times the different rarities of Onikabuto, the expensiveness of the animals themselves, and that just added to testify about his dedication.
When you nodded with shaky hands, a smile brimming over your face, the one and oni himself wasted no time in scooping you up within his arms, crushing you tight against his chest as the two of you hugged like distance was rejection. He smiled, baring his fangs, and you laughed while crying, pure hope streaming down your cheeks.
WANDERER
You had some inkling that something was happening, but you didn’t know what.
Wanderer had been acting strange, letting your quips sink in without a retort, doing things without making some kind of remark about you always needing his help — he was… preparing for something. You had asked him if he was alright, but he just reassured you that it wasn’t anything he couldn’t deal with. That made you worry.
If Wanderer wasn’t going to tell you what was happening, you’d seek your answers out in other places. So, you went to his next closest confidant. Lesser Lord Kusanali. The small god greeted you with open arms, eyes as curious as ever — yet upon asking about the Wanderer, proposing your worries, she’d simply laughed and uttered a “it’s nothing to worry about”.
While now you were a little less concerned, you can’t say you weren’t curious. Now, picking up on the smaller details, you noticed the slight change in his personality, the way his hand would slightly reach for yours, hands too smooth to be real brush against your own. You noticed the way he’d tug you closer when a rainstorm passed, smushing you against him rather than simply letting you stand close enough to not get drenched.
Yet, even after noticing all of his secretive behaviours, you still couldn’t quite pinpoint just what was wrong. He was good at evasion, that much was true. You don’t know where he learned these skills, but maybe you’d underestimated the Wanderer’s ability to remain under the radar, because nobody would utter a word to you about what he’d been up to.
When you finally confronted him, he still didn’t say anything about what he’d been doing, only dragged you out of your shared home into the lush greenery of Sumeru, where the air was humid and Rishboland Tigers remained on the prowl. He dragged you to a northern part of the forest, where Rukkhashava grew larger than life and glowed with a blue bioluminescence.
In the silence of privacy, he unveiled the curtains he’d strung over himself. He told you it all, told you his mistakes, told you his grievances, told you the past he’d tried so hard to get rid of — and at the very end, he told you of his final understanding. He didn’t need a heart to feel; he didn’t need a heart to know what he felt for you.
As much as he’d internally loathed his own loving, unable to comprehend that he might be more human than he thought, he finally began to come to terms with it all. You listened, stayed with his hands in your own as he told you this, stayed looking at his averted eyes that finally looked so very vulnerable.
Responding was difficult, how did you reply to someone who just dumped a bombshell on you, all the while asking for your own heart in turn for baring his own self-made one? You were lost for words, stumbling over possible sentences before stewing in silence. He asked you to speak, you told him to give you a moment, your hands tightening around his.
Maybe you thought for a few minutes, maybe an hour, but by the end of it all, you’d realised something. He had just opened himself up to you, shown you the scars and secrets that he’d hidden so hard from everyone else, all the while hoping you wouldn’t leave him like he’d said the rest had. He said he’d done terrible things, but hadn’t everyone? Everyone had things they regretted, things they wished they could erase — but what mattered the most was who was present in that moment.
In this moment, the man present was no puppet, was no human, but was simply the Wanderer, a being you’d come to fall in-love with, a being you’d somehow grown attached to. All in all, he had stolen your heart just as much as you’d built his — and you couldn’t deny that factor. With a shaky breath, you accepted, and for the first time, he hugged you. He pulled you so tight against him that you thought he might crush your bones, but he didn’t. You returned the embrace, and together the two of you settled with the new realisation.
KINICH
The saurian hunter knew things came at a price; everything did. Food cost mora, friendships cost time… and relationships—they cost effort. Kinich was more than aware of that, from the moment he’d opened his eyes, to the day he’d gotten with you, he knew he was unfamiliar with the dating scene, but he also knew that one key led to it all working out.
Effort, time and patience — so he had it all. He kept a level head, stuck out all the disastrous times with you, and honestly, with how much you gave to him in return — affection, love, everything, it didn’t even feel like he was sacrificing anything at all. By the time Kinich knew it, it had been years, and he was swatting away Ajaw who was teasing him about the lacklustre of his proposal gift.
Where trees were scarce, and the Scions of the Canopy branched across the jagged outcrops of red dusted mountains, Kinich had led you up higher towards the blazing sun, the air cool with the breeze of noon, and the distant qucusaurus squawking as sunset approached.
Kinich had simply mentioned how he’d wanted to take you out to see the view — nothing more, nothing less. He had a damn good poker face, and he’d had you fooled then entire month he’d been preparing for this all. Between hunting trips, he’d go out to look for the best thing to possibly propose to you with. You’d never even suspected a thing.
When the clouds turn rose, and the both of you stood at the edge of the cliffs, glancing out into the horizon, one of his hands wrapped firmly around your waist, that was when he shifted without much notice. His hand slipped from you, and when you turned to make a joke — you froze upon the sight of him down on one knee, head bowed like you were some kind of royalty he was swearing his soul too.
With a steady fervour, only the slightest glint of diffidence in his gaze that stayed locked with yours, Kinich presented both a promise and his heart. He offered it to you, made a whole announcement — how you had shown him that sometimes, you can get more than what you asked for, more than what you looked for, because you had given him more than he could ever offer.
You’d given him things he’d never experienced, laughter he never thought he would let out, moments of contentment he thought would never cross him. You’d given him all of that, and so he would give himself to you. Not as a servant, as another job, but as a person, as a soul. He wanted to intertwine his fate with yours, to make it so that no matter how many blazing heats passed, how many storms rolled with thunder, that through it all, you would always be there beside him, and he would always be there waiting for you.
When you cried in his arms after accepting, he may or may not have let his own few tears shed.
SCARAMOUCHE
Scaramouche was good at separating you from his job, and he did that for one very good reason. You had no place in the Fatui. You had no place in that unkind and bitter world, where kindness couldn’t be told from manipulation — where lives were lost daily in circumstances everybody could predict.
He didn’t want you to intertwine with that, he wanted you to intertwine with him.
Scaramouche had never truly known who he was. He bore the names others gave him, bore the weight of tasks others handed to him — he bore it all, yet he never bore anything self made. Never love, never his own indulgences, never, not until you. You were something that he couldn’t ignore, a damn pest that he didn’t want to swat away.
He never thought he’d fall in love, he didn’t think he had the heart for it, but you proved him wrong. You showed him his hands could be used to hold something gently, that he didn’t have to slam every door or shatter every ceramic he held — you showed him that he himself could be held with a soft passion that overshadowed even the wrath of the gods.
He’d never felt it before, and he never wanted to stop. Maybe it started to twist into obsession, maybe it always was, but either way, Scaramouche loved you. He loved the way you learned to brew tea the way he liked it, loved the way you hold your hand in his own, your hands, so humanly fragile, feeling like nothing short of a gift of divine intervention in his bleak life.
All in all, he was smitten, totally head over heels in the relationship he hid in shadows deeper than secrets. By the time he realised it, years had gone by, and he came up with the idea of marriage after patrolling the streets. In the corner of his eyes, he saw a couple holding hands, two rings on either of their fingers. He didn’t glance at them for long, but it was long enough for an idea to spark in his head.
The next moment he could, he took up an available assignment tasked in your homeland — the very place he’d first met you, a place outside of the cold hardened walls of Snezhnaya. He took you along with him, ignoring the questioning looks of his agents, and then he completed all his missions early — but he didn’t tell anyone, no, because he had moments ready to spend with you.
He took you out to a space he was sure nobody would interrupt, brought you to a field where it was just you, him, and the inevitable future that spanned before you both. It was there he forced himself to say it all, everything he’d been bottling up for so long. At first, he was scared — not that he’d ever admit it. The idea of telling someone all he thought he was and could ever be? That was the same as offering you a blade strong enough to kill a god.
Yet, you didn’t shame him, didn’t snicker in his face, didn’t call his vulnerabilities stains on his heavenly perfection, you accepted it all with your own heart in turn, smiling through it all, holding him tighter. It seemed unreal, seemed so unbelievable in the world of treachery that had been Teyvat — yet it was here, and it was happening.
For the first time, he sobbed openly. It wasn’t loud, wasn’t dramatic, but it was real. Tears fell from his eyes, just as they had the day he was brought into this plane of existence, but these tears weren’t of pain, they were of acceptance, of desperation, of relief. Finally, in these centuries of searching, pain wrapped in hunger and humiliation, he had found something that didn’t desert him for his grovelling, that happily picked him back up when he slipped off his feet.
He had found the someone that he didn’t need to stand tall for, the one who would smile even in the face of bitterness, and damn — he was not going to let go.
He'll eat you out in your sleep and wake you up just like that. Don't blame him, your pussy taste amazing and he's just pussydrunk off of it! He just loves when you squeeze your legs around his head and buck your hips to his tongue. He adores when you pull him closer to your sopping cunt. He'll lap and suck on your cunt until your overstimulated and can't even remember how many times you came. He'll fucking eat you out like a starved man who hasn't eaten in months and grind and thrust his hips onto the fucking mattress so he can also feel some friction. You just taste that good that he can't even pull away from your overstimulated pussy until his face is all covered in your sticky white cum all over his face :((
You drift into sleep, and the chaos begins. Memories swirl around you, fragmented and hazy, flashing too quickly for you to grasp.
Voices echo, overlapping and fading before you can understand them.
"...May the present life shine like gold."
"Further Killing is meaningless."
"...But their death must mean something."
"Death is not the end of life... We will redefine humanity itself."
"...But we all know this world is beyond saving."
"... Despite that, we must become heroes."
You try to focus, but the images shift and blur. Faces you should recognize merge into each other. You hear different voices, yet you are unable to concentrate while the flashing images cross your mind.
A memory flickers: a pink-haired elf in a white dress. This time it's a bit clearer.
You hold her in your arms, blood pouring out of her chest. Her eyes are sad, yet filled with an unspoken warmth. She caresses your cheek, her touch gentle despite her pain. She says something, her lips moving slowly, but the words are lost to you. Then the scene shifts abruptly, the memory distorting.
You find yourself facing a long blue-haired man with piercing blue eyes. He looks at you with intensity, his expression serious. "Y/N, promise me you never forget...-" The memory distorts again, the edges blurring, "...love you."
The images speed up, a kaleidoscope of moments you can't hold on to. They slip through your fingers like sand, leaving only the faintest impressions.
You jolted awake, sitting upright in bed, drenched in cold sweat. Your hand clutched your rapidly beating heart as you gasped for breath. An overwhelming sadness gripped you, manifesting in uncontrollable tears streaming down your face. You let the tears fall freely, unable to stem the tide of emotion.
Confusion clouded your thoughts as fragments of your memories resurfaced, each piece as elusive as mist. You climbed out of bed and paced the room, trying to shake the disorienting sensation. You halted in front of the mirror, compelled to confront your reflection.
Staring back at you were eyes that seemed hollow, devoid of any spark of life, like a puppet's vacant gaze. Your cheeks glistened with the remnants of dried tears, evidence of your inexplicable sorrow.
As you blinked, your reflection shifted.
The reflection showed you with white hair and golden horns. One horn was half-shattered, the broken end dissolving into a sparkling golden mist.
You reached out to touch the mirror, your fingers trembling as they met the cold glass. The reflection stared back with a haunting emptiness that mirrored the void you felt within.
"My MANTIS form? Is this an illusion?" you whispered, barely audible, to yourself.
In the mirror, your reflection stood differently. It wore a white kimono, stained with blood and dirt, its eyes glowing a piercing gold. The reflection seemed more alive than ever, staring back at you with an intensity that made your breath catch.
"Find me,"
The reflection's voice echoed, soft yet commanding, as it leaned closer to the glass.
"Your end... my origin."
Suddenly, the mirror's surface cracked, spiderwebbing outward from where your reflection's hand had pressed against the glass. Startled, you stepped back, eyes wide with disbelief. The reflection flickered and then returned to your current self, leaving only the shattered fragments of glass to catch and distort your image.
You stared at the broken mirror, your face reflected back in jagged pieces, each shard a fragment of a whole that felt lost to you. The encounter left you shaken, the echo of the reflection's voice lingering in your mind.
You draped your coat over your nightgown, pulling it tightly around yourself, and stepped out into the cold night.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Your heels clicked rhythmically against the cobblestone streets, resonating through the stillness of the night. The air was crisp and biting, carrying the faint scent of the sea.
The moon cast a pale glow over the empty streets, its silver light the only illumination as the city slumbered. You wandered aimlessly, unable to shake the unsettling dream that had stirred your memories.
As you rounded a corner, lost in thought, you nearly collided with someone.
"Sorry!..." A blonde traveler exclaimed, trailing off as his eyes met yours. His expression shifted from apology to shock, and he instinctively took a step back.
You sighed, crossing your arms to ward off the chill. "I'm not going to eat you," you said with a hint of sarcasm. "Couldn't sleep either?"
Aether looked alarmed but quickly relaxed, sensing no threat from you. "I had a nightmare..." he admitted, leaving out the detail that the nightmare involved you.
"A nightmare, hm?" you mused, walking past him and stopping at his side. "The more that weighs on your mind, the more your fears turn into dreamscapes."
Aether glanced at you but remained silent. There was something about you that felt familiar, a sense that beneath your icy exterior lay untold stories. Perhaps, he thought, you had a complex history with Zhongli.
"And you?" he ventured.
You didn't answer directly. Instead, you offered, "Walk with me. Let's forget our problems for a while." You began to walk, your pace slow and deliberate.
Aether hesitated for a moment before falling into step beside you. The two of you strolled through the quiet streets of Liyue Harbor, the silence around you amplifying the noise in your minds. The city's usual bustle was absent, replaced by a serene, almost eerie stillness.
"What a quiet night..." you murmured, your voice soft in the tranquil air. "They say the quieter things are around you, the louder they are in your head. It's true, isn't it?"
You didn't look back at Aether, but you could feel his presence beside you, a silent companion in this nocturnal journey. He nodded in agreement, the sound barely audible.
You halted at the edge of the harbor, where the cold sea breeze caressed your face, carrying with it the scent of salt and the distant, rhythmic murmur of waves.
You clutched your coat tighter around your body, the thin nightgown beneath providing little warmth. The soft rustling of the ocean's surface reminded you of him, a memory as elusive as the shifting tides.
The traveler, Aether, watched you quietly. The moonlight reflecting off the water cast a gentle glow on your face, accentuating your mysterious allure.
To him, you were an enigma. His only encounter with you had been during that tense moment with Zhongli, where you had seemed intimidating. Yet now, in this peaceful setting, you appeared more contemplative and perhaps even kind. He realized he knew almost nothing about you, not even your name.
"Who are you?" he asked, his voice curious but respectful.
You turned to meet his gaze, but before you could respond, the sound of approaching footsteps interrupted the moment.
"Oh? Out for a midnight stroll, are we?"
Childe's voice cut through the night, dripping with suspicion. He approached, eyes narrowed at you.
"Up to no good, perhaps?" His tone was accusatory, a familiar annoyance that you felt in your bones.
You barely knew him, only having seen him briefly at the funeral, yet he seemed to harbor a baseless animosity towards you.
"We're just walking," you replied coolly, meeting his gaze with a calm, unyielding stare. "Neither of us could sleep. There's no need for your baseless accusations."
Aether turned to Childe, sensing the tension. "Childe? What are you doing here?"
Childe's expression shifted slightly as he acknowledged Aether. "Ah, the famous traveler," he remarked, his voice tinged with a mock cheerfulness. "I see you've found your way to her." He glanced back at you with a passive-aggressive look, a mix of irritation and something unreadable.
Aether glanced at you, seeking an explanation, then back at Childe, expecting answers.
"She hasn't told you?" Childe raised an eyebrow, a sly smile playing on his lips. "She's quite infamous among us, actually," he began, his tone laced with amusement.
"Us... Are you one of the Harbingers?" Aether's eyes widened, his body tensing.
The quiet harbor was momentarily disrupted by the rippling tension between you and Childe.
You crossed your arms, your gaze steely. "Childe," your voice was sharp, cutting through the crisp night air like a blade. "Her Royal Majesty sent a personal letter apologizing for your... behavior. I strongly advise you to keep your mouth shut."
Childe's smile widened, a spark of excitement dancing in his eyes. "Or what? You wanna to fight?" He stepped closer, eager for confrontation.
Aether glanced nervously between you and Childe, feeling the intensity of the moment.
Then, in an instant, a Hydro dagger materialized in Childe's hand. With a wild laugh, he lunged at you, his speed blurring as he closed the distance.
The blade aimed for your throat with lethal precision, but before it could touch you, your hand shot up, clamping around his wrist with an iron grip.
In the blink of an eye, you delivered a flurry of punches to his face, each strike landing with brutal efficiency. The world seemed to slow down as you pounded him with lightning-fast blows.
As he reeled from the onslaught, you released his wrist, spinning gracefully before delivering a powerful kick to his abdomen. The impact sent Childe flying, crashing through the air and landing hard against a row of trash cans with a thunderous clatter.
The entire sequence happened in a mere heartbeat. The force of your actions left Aether stunned, the air thick with the intensity of the moment.
He stood in stunned disbelief. One moment, Childe had lunged at you, and in the next, he was sprawled across a pile of trash cans, thoroughly beaten. Had it all happened in the blink of an eye? He turned his gaze to you, realizing with a shiver that you were capable of much more than he had imagined.
"Don't worry, he won't bother us anymore," you said calmly, turning towards Aether, completely composed.
"I doubt he will ever..." Aether muttered, noticing your unruffled demeanor. It was as if the scuffle hadn't even phased you; you weren't even out of breath.
"About your question from before," you continued, meeting his eyes, "I am part of the Fatui and one of the Harbingers. My code-name is Innamorati."
Strangely, Aether didn't feel the usual wariness that came with meeting a Harbinger. Instead, there was a peculiar sense of ease, a feeling that it was better to be on your good side.
"Innamorati... I've never heard that code name before," Aether said, curiosity piqued. "And what about your actual name?"
You sighed, crossing your arms. "You might forget it, so you can call me whatever you like. But my real name is Y/N."
Aether blinked, taken aback. "It's... a beautiful name." He blurted out, then blushed slightly. "I mean... you have the same name as the unknown lady in the story."
You tilted your head, puzzled. "Unknown lady? What story are you talking about?"
Aether suddenly realized his slip. The tale he referred to only mentioned Morax and his two lovers, Guizhong and an unnamed woman, without ever revealing her identity.
"Uh... it's a story about Morax, the Geo Archon, and his two lovers, Guizhong and... um, Y/N, the unknown lady. It also involves Osial being jealous," he explained quickly.
At the mention of Osial, your eyes widened as a memory surfaced, a fragment of a dream featuring a blue-haired man with striking blue eyes. You turned towards the ocean, a sad expression clouding your features.
"Are you alright?" Aether asked, concern evident in his voice.
"It's nothing. I just... have a bad memory. The name Osial... I knew him well... or used to," you murmured. "But I'd rather not talk about it right now."
Aether, both surprised and curious about you, realized it was time to part ways as the night was nearing its end. "If you'd like to hear more about the story, we can meet up tomorrow. And..., good night," he said, a shy smile accompanied by a faint blush on his cheeks.
You were momentarily taken aback, your expression softening. "Thank you."
Then, with a thoughtful pause, you looked him in the eye. "Before you go, may I make a request?" Your tone was serious.
"It may seem strange, perhaps even rude, but I must ask..."
"...Have we met somewhere before?"
The question hung in the air, and Aether's eyes widened in surprise.
After a moment's thought, Aether responded, "Perhaps we have."
A small, knowing chuckle escaped your lips. "My memories often fail me..." you murmured. Stepping closer, you leaned in to whisper in his ear, your breath warm against his skin, "Return safely whence you came... Because a particular Yaksha is following us." You glanced around subtly. "If you feel unsafe, you can follow me."
Aether's eyes widened further, immediately thinking of Xiao. "I'm okay, I know this Yaksha," he whispered back, attempting to reassure you. You gave a slight nod, acknowledging his words.
With a final exchange of goodbyes, you turned and headed back to the hotel Pantalone had reserved entirely for your stay. As you walked away, you remained vigilant, aware of the green-haired Yaksha's presence in the shadows, watching your every move.
im so sick and tired of the "oh abyss!aether would be super rough while trav!aether would be gentle and caring🥺" bullshit. LIKE ITS SO CLEAR THAT ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUNDDDDUH.
abyss has been through years of stress and torment — traveling throughout teyvat, learning its dark secrets and actively fighting against them can really ware down someone.
abyss would see sex as more intimate, as a way to recharge his ever draining battery. two souls mixing together as one to form a bond that not even celestia can tear apart.
the both of you come together under dimming candlelight, intertwining with each other on silk satin sheets. every touch, every kiss, is gentle. the complete opposite of his usual routine of being the stern prince of the abyss.
he has always had enough time, so would it be that bad if he puts a portion of it aside to worship his royalty?
trav on the other hand is constantly looking for his next adventure. if he ever desires to reunite with his sister, he needs to traverse the lands of teyvat, leaving not one stone unturned.
as said earlier, the stress of it all weighs him down. it was always up to you to relieve it— a small task you have given yourself over the course in which you journeyed with him.
he tried so hard to control himself when you first made love, to not show you how frustrated he really was with this archon damned world. all restraint he had left his body as soon as he heard you mumble 'faster..'
so he hopes that you won't hate him if he decided to let loose a little more.
imagine waking up nude beside your best friend, aether
mild nsfw at the end. writing this as a warm-up before i make a debut as a smut writer in this blog. also, to those who think you know me, no, you don't. not proofread.
edit:i just realised how shitty the grammar is so please ignore it.
you waking up beside your best friend!aether in a hotel room, completely nude after a long night of lovemaking. just like him, you don't remember a thing. though, the bruise marks on your breasts and the wetness between your inner thighs were enough proofs to confirm what happened last night. you're not going to lie that you do feel embarrassed seeing how nonchalant aether is about this, yet it quickly disappears when he pulls you into a hug, asking if you're mad and apologizing to you.
"you’re not mad at me, right?”
"no." you're not mad. you can't bring yourself to get mad, especially since he's always so nice and sweet to you.
eventually, you ask him how is he so calm about all this. but you found the answer right away after you buried your face into his chest, putting your ear near where his heart is located. he's not calm at all, his heart is pounding just as fast as yours. he's nervous, a lot more nervous than you. he's just putting on a calm facade so you wouldn't feel awkward around him.
he began to stroke your hair gently, lovingly before he spoke up, his voice softens even more, “i… i like you a lot. and last night… it was really great. i don’t regret a thing. you… made me feel so good last night.”
your cheeks flushed when he mentioned how good you made him feel. the fact that he didn't remember what happened last night, but remember how good he felt buried deep inside you make you feel shy.
but at the same time, you wish you could make him feel good again. "i wish we could do it again... sober. i was drunk, so i couldn't experience it properly..." your face was still resting against his chest, but you were pouting slightly. you're not a lightweight person, so it's really a shame you got drunk on a special night. (although, you wouldn't be making love with him if you weren't drunk since you'd be too busy dragging his ass home.)
his eyes seem to light up at your wish. he kisses the top of your head, nuzzling into your hair. you can feel his body heat up, and from his breathing, you can tell that he's not so calm and collected anymore. “... are you in the mood?”
a pair of curious eyes bore into aether's golden eyes. you want to do it again, but you don't want to tire him. and what if he sees you as someone who's desperate? especially since you just did it with him last night.
regardless of what you think of yourself, aether thinks you're too cute to look desperate. even if you are, you still look cute.
before the two of you realised, your lips connect with one another. a shiver runs throughout your body from how good his lips feel. your heart flutter and you can feel butterflies in your stomach as your hand found themselves on his soft cheeks.
aether’s ears turn bright red as he moves slowly on top of you, his lips never leaving yours. letting the duvet off of you and him, his warm, golden eyes look over you, taking in as much as he can. he moves his lips from yours, dragging his tongue along your neck and kissing every inch of you, emitting a content sigh from you.
he pauses and moves lower down on your body, gently kissing and sucking on your chest. his fingers run through your hair, carefully stroking you while his free hand grab and fondle with your breast, making you moan in pleasure. he doesn't intend on going rough, his priority is to pleasure you and he wants you to enjoy it as much as you can. aether smiles, his eyes twinkling as he sees the effect he has on you.
“i… i love you so much… you’re so pretty, and so cute… and just thinking about you makes me want you so bad.” he says before kissing your neck again.
he takes one of your hands and kisses up your arm, and puts it on top of his chest. “touch me… i wanna see how much i make you want me.” he whispers, his voice sounding needy.
