I’m against pedophilia too, but Rick and Morty aren’t real and shipping them isn’t pedophilia. it’s just shipping, a completely harmless act, so I have no reason to call it/shippers of it ‘evil’

and thinking it’s icky is your reason for disliking the ship. you find it gross, which is totally fine. you’re allowed to be disgusted by things, including ships, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad or that people who like them are bad and it doesn’t stop “ship and let ship” from applying

any other Rick and Morty fans quietly laughing about how the anti rickmortys are covering their ears and singing LALALA in response to Promortyus? after more than three seasons of insisting that all the incest jokes in the show so far are proof that the creators hate rickmorty and just are mocking it/the shippers, now they’re whimpering about how the show has ‘lost its integrity’ and telling each other to skip the episode altogether because it’s trash.

I mean I’m sympathetic to people who have to stop consuming a piece of media they like in order to avoid being triggered by the content, but there was already an episode where Rick, Morty and Summer had a soul orgy together. they’ve had plenty of time to jump ship over the incestuous aspects of the show, they’ve just been convincing themselves it’s okay because it’s the creators’ covert way of telling the shippers they’re gross (spoiler alert: it’s not).

"Lost its integrity" is the funniest complaint, tbh. Because Rick and Morty are doing what it has always done- be an adult cartoon. Of course there is going to be weird, gross, or sexual situations. Did antis just start watching this season? The incest bits have been going since the beginning; and sure, Rick and Morty have shown some aversion to it in season one (Example: Morty prepares to literally jack off in. front. of. his. grandfather for the love potion, Rick complains and just takes a hair); but by season two, Rick asks Morty to lick his balls in Get Schwifty.

It's almost like the morals of fictional people are fictional too.

All the jokes, all the sexual situations between Rick and Morty *cough, cough* literal sex dungeon. Again, season ONE *cough, cough* have been for comedic effect, but not in the ways antis believe. It's not "hahaha, gross shippers, fuck you!" it's "we all know incest is bad, so let's fuck with the concept for the lols"

and even if the creators are just joking around with all the incest stuff (which I believe they are, I highly doubt c137cest will ever be canon) that doesn’t mean there’s a ‘message’ that the shippers aren’t getting; plenty of people love ships that they know won’t be canon! it’s not that they’re in denial or insisting that the creators are actually going to put the pairing in the show, they just enjoy the ship, no justification required!

hamster sex scene! apparently some published book out there was banned for containing a sex scene between hamsters! it’s crazy and it’s gonna be hilarious to write about lmao

Did a book report on a like, novel about like minks or something in the wild when I was in like grade 3. There was 2000% a sex scene between the protagonist male mink and some female mink and like. I'm not into that and I def did not make any mention of it to the class. But I think about it a lot. Like why was it necessary to include that bit in a dramatic kids novel about wildlife. I guess for 'realism'? I don't think it was terribly graphic but 8yo me mightve thought so. But whatever. Probably contributed to some of the weirder shit I'm into now haha.
