Unarmed Black Man With Hands Up Shot By Police.
Charles Kinsey, 47, a behavior therapist from South Florida was shot in the leg three times by the police in North Miami while laying on the ground with his arms up and trying to help his patient with autism who had run away from a group home.
It all started when someone called 911 and said there was a man walking around with a gun. However it was Kinsey’s patient who was sitting on the ground cross-legged, playing with a toy truck.
Charles got shot by police despite telling them he was only trying to help his patient.
The police shot him, handcuffed him and left him on ground bleeding.
North Miami police have not released much information at all. They haven’t released the officer’s name, they haven’t given us an update on the investigation. However, they did say that the state attorney is now a part of this investigation.

“Crazy Dion” Diamond at one of his sit-ins as a teenager in Arlington, VA. June 10, 1960
via reddit
All of those people around him are demons
hey guys! here’s some fun things i learned from this article about Dion Diamond:
he did these sit-ins by himself. like idk about you, but i always thought of sit-ins as organized by groups, what kind of bravery does it take, man
he didn’t tell anyone about it, like he was no glory-seeker about this. his parents didn’t even know until reporters started calling them up like “hey, did you know your son is in jail?
when someone called the cops he’d skedaddle out the back door although he was sent to prison multiple times
the last time he got arrested was in Baton Rouge, and the cops were so sick of him that they told inmates they’d put in a good word for anyone who gave Diamond a hard time. (the inmates didn’t take the bait.)
he’s still alive!
hark, a hero of our times!
That is unbelievable courage!
Bottom photo he is talking face to face with Rockwell, POS Founder of American Nazi Party.

Something I wish more people would understand…
What’s her name?
Her name is Jane Elliott. She was a former schoolteacher, now she’s anti-racism activist, feminist and LGBT activist. She’s tiny, mean, and boss as fuck.
She’s known for her “blue eyes-brown eyes experiment” where she divides a group of volunteers from the blues and the browns. The minute the people walk in, the blue-eyes know they’re not welcomed. She makes them wait in a separate room, gives them shitty chairs, bad food, and shows them less respect. And (obviously) it causes all sorts of discomfort and rage, but that’s precisely her point. It doesn’t help that most blue-eyed volunteers happen to be white as well. Sometimes they get the message, sometimes they don’t and leave, sometimes crying or screaming. And Jane Elliott says that’s exactly what minorities want to do everyday of their lives, but they simply cannot do.
Did I mention she’s boss as fuck?
Jane elliot guys. I saw her experiment when I was 13 and it made me understand racism like nothing else.
She started the experiment on her elementary class and let me tell you, seeing the footage of little kids behaving better than the adults in the recreated experiments once it’s revealed why they’re doing the experiments just reminds me how early you’ve got to teach your kids about tolerance and injustice.
The biggest thing people are missing is the Blue eyed Brown eyed experiment was done THE NEXT DAY after MLK was murdered.
1968. 52 years ago.
Those people in that experiment are still alive. They are able to vote. They are part of the population that does vote.
Jane Elliott was pushed out of her own town because of her experiment.
Jane Elliott, badass bitch every teacher should look up to and follow the lead of

#ActsofPride Day 11 - Favorite LGBTQIA+ historical figure
“Each time I leaped I seemed to touch the sky, and when I regained earth it seemed to be mine alone.” - Josephine Baker
Tumblr Creatr @Rose contributed this original work based on today’s prompt celebrating the iconic Josephine Baker. The American-born world renowned Black bisexual dancer, actress, singer, civil rights champion, and WWII French resistance agent rose to fame in the 1920s and quickly became one of the most famous entertainers in her adopted home of France. Pablo Picasso and Earnest Hemingway were also huge fans.
The artist told us a little about why Baker inspires her:
“Josephine Baker was hailed as ‘The Black Venus’ by fellow artists of her time. Though she fled the oppression she faced in America in 1925 to live the majority of her life in France, she returned often to fight for civil rights, speaking alongside Martin Luther King Jr. at the March on Washington. Now more than ever, it is vital to lift up queer Black lives and histories, and Josephine’s is one of pure resilience, love, and absolute joy”
We’re excited to see your favorite LGBTQIA+ historical figures too ♥️
