Sometimes people don't understand how a number on a scale can break you.
gentle reminder
just living is progress; no matter what you may or may not have done today, you made it through the day, and that is more than enough
I just alternate between ‘maybe I’m smarter than I give myself credit for’ and ‘maybe I’m dumber than I realized’
You are beautiful, okay?
The worst thing ever is being alive but you don't feel like you are.
Let’s just get one thing straight…
If someone with an eating disorder, body image issues, body dysmorphia, etc. tells you that they feel a certain way about their body, do not get mad at them or bring out the whole “if you think you’re fat then what does that make me?” because it’s not about you okay? Our perception of ourselves is distorted; we do not see other people the same way we see ourselves
things to remember: short responses or no responses are usually due to low mood and intolerance for socializing. not because they hate you and would rather you disappear.
If you see me looking zoned out it’s cuz im having a therapy session with myself in my head
I know you’re sad, so i won’t tell you ’have a good day’. Instead, i advise you to simply ’have a day’. Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes, and don’t give up on yourself just yet. It’ll be better soon. Until then, have a day.
your mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of and you don’t have to apologise for it
here is your sign, if you needed one.
“I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.”
— Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (via books-n-quotes)
Doodling and painting helps keep me calm
Don't let dreams be dreams
