And have whatever they want done

Because they are Boys, obviously

And the girls? Come on!

I know you don't want to hear about them!

dolls, lambs, pretty little things

weak, fragile, angels without wings

objects, not people, deserve no rights

How many more of these do we have to fight?

girls learn early to hate the color pink

Or whatever is associated with it

Because society makes us think

That for us to exist we have to shrink

Down into what they want us to be

submissive, docile, domestic

It sounds almost poetic

How this is fucking pathetic

And how none of these experiences are unique

That is not random either

All come from the same system

Made by people who don't listen,

Who want to call us weak

School reproduces dominance

Building tolerance

Against all resistance

I wish love was less complex. But then what would poets obsess over? What would be made of the despair of falling in love? What would I even write about? What would become of the idea of being bare and vulnerable for someone else? What are humans if not bound by the complexity of feelings and love.

You know, if you'd let me tell you about Achilles' story, you'd realize how his love for Patroclus was as intense as my love for you; losing you making me realize Achilles' reaction to losing Patroclus wasn't dramatic, and clearly words could not expression the despair he felt, a feeling I can't process myself as it is far too grieving to even start to analyze. The famous Achilles' heel was never really a weakness on his body; as the poets would say, his weakness was something, or more precisely, someone else entirely, turning the famous term into one I could use to refer to what you are to me.

I would admit I feel more like Icarus, willing getting closer to you knowing it would cause my downfall and doing so anyway; his falling death not coming close to the feeling of falling in love with you.

Orpheus, however, makes me feel like a coward. Making me realize what lengths I could have gone for you and yet I let you go. Perhaps if he had done so too, the pain of losing Eurydice a second time wouldn't have been so devasting. Yet I would not mind the pain it came after, as long as I got a second more of you, even if unable to see you, I would've taken it; Orpheus was lucky to have had a chance of getting Eurydice back, when our fate was far more miserable, and doomed from the very start.

A child's dream: World Peace

I typically write about love

The type that makes your head rush

Heart beat faster

And your face flush

Not always healthy

That I can admit

But still romantic

And relatable a little bit

Though that's not why I'm here

At least not this time

About something a lot more sensitive

That may cross the line

This is still about love

But not the type you think

About peace and humanity

Something people ignore without a blink

I don't get how it ended like this

When rights got left behind

People doing evil acts

Without guilt in their minds

Everyone should be happy

And care about each other

Let nobody die of hunger

And protect one another

Not hurt children or anyone

Have the small bit of sympathy

I'm tired of watching the news

And a real need for revolution

In a sweet small town

The weather warm and sunny

Behind a house, in the garden

A girl, a cute little bunny

She looks defenseless, soft and innocent

Her beauty has its own type of glow

Something angelical, ethereal, elegant

Like blood covering white snow

She happily plays among bees

Unaware of her fate, button nose twitching

The bunny hides between forest trees

It will always be prey, not ready to be eaten

Away from her nature, inside the palace

All it took was a glance

A fox approaches the bunny with malice

Then the prince asks her for a dance

She captured the attention of the future king

The bunny was hunted for weeks, unable to get away

She is now trapped, around her finger, his ring

She is terrified when he speaks, he finally got his way

She obeyed everything in a haze

Locked in his tight grip

The way to escape was a maze

But she found a way to slip

Fleeing, she quickens her pace

Disappearing into the night

The bunny knew the fox would chase

It was only a matter of time

Finding out she escaped was shock

But he soon grinned and began to,after her, run

Imagining her in his arms, a pretty cage with no lock

He can't help but think that this will be so much fun

Captured again, she was in far too deep

It didn't take long for her to become broken

The fox showed the bunny she was his to keep

And her heart and will soon got stolen

The bunny agreed to the fox asking for her hand

What happened forgotten somewhere in the past

A weird love story began, far from the end

And she became his forever, at last.
