The Kinks - This Strange Effect (1965)

I had Dave Berry’s 1965 recording of this unreleased Kinks song all ready to go, but then it occurred to me that the Kinks BBC version was far superior, though less produced.  Ray’s vocals certainly appeal more, but also I’m inclined to believe that Dave’s guitar playing, simple and restrained, sets the mood of the song.  I’m gonna post Dave Berry’s version just for comparison.
