sha's stories
sounds very similar to a radio story i heard in 2014 ago about credit card debt. the debt got sold to a collection company and a couple received a court summons. they knew they had taken on debt, but they were confused about who this new company was and where specifically the number they were supposed to owe came from.
they show up in court and just ask the lawyer for the collection company: can you prove where this number comes from? Do you have a contract showing that you purchased our debt? probably luckily for them, a reporter researching a book on the topic showed up and asked the same questions.
10 minutes later they get in front of the judge and the collection company drops the whole case and theyre free to go. story is below, it has a transcript in the link too

BuckTommy Week Day 7: Leave a mark
drive you crazy
2,990 words | Rating: E
POV Evan "Buck" Buckley | Established Relationship | Plot What Plot/Porn Without Plot | Car Sex | Rimming | Anal Sex | Love Bites
Tommy pulls the cherry red Mustang into the garage of his bungalow, already breathing a little heavily as he kills the engine. Evan seems to be in much the same state and the second they’re both out of the car, Tommy rounds the hood and pushes him against the wall, crowding into his space and kissing him hard. “Here?” Evan asks, voice hoarse with desire as he throws his head back against the wall, Tommy immediately taking advantage of the improved access to his throat. “Can’t wait any longer,” Tommy breathes before latching onto his neck, sucking a mark into his skin.

AU where Buck meets Tommy shortly after the truck bombing and is weirded out that he feels so little sadness when Ali breaks up with him
hi friend! this went. uh. somewhat off the rails from what you requested. i hope you like it anyway! buck's first day home from the hospital, redux. remix. au! feat. tommy, lucy, sal, chim, hen and maddie.
under a cut because once again i can do nothing quickly.
buck's in recovery and waiting to get the okay to leave the hospital when he sees another guy ducking into the room. "don't tell them i came through this way," the guy says, winking at buck. "hey, i think i saw a white coat coming down the hall. good luck on getting out of here."
"yeah, thanks," buck says, confused. he glances the way the other guy points and sees his surgeon coming, and by the time he looks back to where the guy was, he's gone.
"kinard!" a firefighter comes hurrying through the room, glancing towards buck. "did you see a guy come through here? about yea tall, brown hair, too many crows feet?"
WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS MY FAVORITE TELEVISION SERIES OF ALL TIME (it's not out yet)
John Rogers, proving himself once again to be an entire vibe.
John Rogers is the creator of two of my favorite things:
Leverage and Leverage: Redemption, show(s) about criminals who team up to punish billionaires and corporations who take advantage of regular people in ways that the law won't punish. It's a great heist show, it's hilarious, it's satisfying in a vengeance sort of way, it's deeply nerdy in sometimes subtle ways (criminals using aliases from Doctor Who, anyone?), and seeing the characters and relationships develop is really nice, too.
The following quote: "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
John Rogers is one third of my Rogers philosophy.
Mr Rogers: Be kind
Steve Rogers: Do the right thing
John Rogers: Billionaires steal more than all the street crime combined.
I am once again begging you to get your hands on physical media and/or save your fave stuff OFFLINE.

Summary:
Ilya was used to hazing. He had been subjected to it, he had participated in it, and, as a captain, he had stood guard over the rookies and protected them from anything truly harmful. But if he had been asked, Ilya would have approved of this prank. He would have authorized it, given Cliff and Vicky his seal of approval, perhaps even helped orchestrate it.
Any other day, Ilya might have been happy to play along.
But, in perfect dramatic irony, it had not happened any other day. It had happened today. And, cherry on top, of course the rookie had to walk in when Shane was already freaking out about Ilya saying his name.
+++
A prank-gone-wrong leads to the Boston Bears finding out about Shane and Ilya’s relationship in 2016. The day Ilya first invited Shane into his house. Right after they say each other’s names for the first time. Fuck his life, honestly.
The author's note says "boston bears, you barely exist in cannon, why do i love you so?" and I cannot relate to anything more omgggg. I love this fic so much. I love Boston. I love you 😍💋
"A marriage ending isn't a failure at all. I spent eleven years with her. We were so in love that we couldn't image life apart from each other. We got our own place, adopted a dog, and supported each other through school. I thought if tow people loved each other enough the rest would fall into place, except... love isn't everything.
And I didn't want to believe that, but we were sitting in counseling one day, talking about our future and I realized we were describing two completely different lives. Where we'd live, what kind of life we wanted, what made us happy. And it hit me that- I love this woman and this woman loved me. And after eleven years of loss, grief, career changes, we were so deeply in love... but we weren't aligned. And I kept thinking 'We just need to try harder. We can find some compromise to make this work,' because that's what you're supposed to do when you love someone, right?
But the reality was, we had just become different people. Her trade school took her in one direction, my graduate degree in another and trying to force us back into who we were five years ago wasn't coming from a place of love. It was coming from a place of fear. Fear that, if this ended, it meant we wasted eleven years. But sitting there across from her, I realized: That's not how love works.
Those eleven years happened. They were real. The dog, our home, showing up for each other through grad school and trade school. I wouldn't change a single thing because loving someone doesn't mean you're meant to stay with them forever. And letting go doesn't erase what you had. We measure marriage by whether it lasts forever or not, but what if we measured it by whether it mattered?
What if we measured it by the love we gave, the life we built, and the people we became? Because love's job isn't to last forever, it's to help you become fully completely yourself, and sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give each other permission to be yourselves, separately. But the dog doesn't know were' divorced. He just gets two Christmases now."
Pulled this from this guy Preston Rakovsky's Instagram (@prestonrack) because it is a beautiful perspective on love, marriage, and relationships in general.

Tommy redoubles his efforts, pressing Evan into the counter as he grinds against him, fingers playing lightly across his chest. Evan fully growls at him then, turning around to face him. “Just let me put this in the oven,” he says, breathing heavily, voice already a little wrecked, “then you can do whatever you want.” Tommy raises an eyebrow, smirking at him with a wicked glint in his eye. “Is that a promise?”

This is a damn MOOD FOR LIFE, I tell you what.
This is beautiful, not just because of the lyrics, harmonies and relatable message, but also because Cinderella (Brandy), One of the Hercules Muses (Roz Ryan) , and Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis) are singing it. Like we have been blessed.

Thinking about Tommy, Hen, and Chim staying a few more rounds after Bobby leaves the bar (circa 2x16) and they're drunk and giggly and making fun of Tommy for being afraid of Maurice and Tommy splutters and exclaims that it was a "monster cock"
and it throws Chim into a fit of giggles and again the next day when he realizes he'd changed Tommy's name in his phone to "monster cock"
and he just never changes it back
when Chim calls him about the cruise ship, he doesn't pick up the first time so Chim sends him like 5 follow-up texts and Tommy calls back and for some ✨hand-wavey✨ reason, Buck has Chim's phone or he's closest to and it brings it to Chim like, "uhh...somebody named Monster Cock is calling you?"
But then everything is happening all at once and he completely forgets about it.
A real fantasy house, and it finally sold. The 1993 castle-like mansion in Shawnee, KS, has 7bds, 14ba, 17,755sqft, $3,891,800, and it has some surprises.
