I want this scarf to envelope me. And love the balance of chunky knit and delicate lace. Perfect for fall!

Again brought to my attention via Patrick Burgoyne. With over 1.1 million people in the world who don’t have access to clean drinking water, water-borne pathogens are a huge problem for the environment and for human health. Fortunately a clever little design has come to the rescue in the form of the Lifestraw The cigar-sized plastic tool is both a feat of engineering and an inexpensive way to deliver potable water to those who need it.Lifestraw delivers the most basic needs and purifies water from potential pathogens like typhoid, cholera, dysentery and diarrhea, becoming one of the icons of humanitarian product design- by the time the water hits your lips, it’s completely safe and potable. The Lifestraw is one of the highlights of the Cooper Hewitt’s Design for the Other 90% exhibition, which highlights products, architecture, and technology that benefits under-privileged demographics across the globe.
Fall is so close. We suggest getting inspired by these very autumnal Looks We Love, starring our Artdot Novelist Shirtdress and a furry friend named Snowflake.

I think tumblr is starting to predict my re-blogging patterns by constantly suggesting pictures of giraffes. You got me tumblr.
I've decided that since this will be our first "real" apartment ("real" as in signed a year-lease, paying monthly rent instead of per semester), art will be an integral part of the decor. I majorly adore gallery walls and have designated the entranceway as my destined-to-be-galleriefied wall since the first minute I walked through our new place.
Unfortunately, art is expensive. Well, not all art but framing and matting definitely adds up! But the glory of the internet has yet again proved itself. Check out 20x200 for awesome art ranging from $24 to $1,000+
Is it possible to live in a constant state of wanderlust and never allow one place fully satisfy your geographical desires?

Amazing embroidery and the buttons are TDF. The perfect little white dress as the summer draws to a close!
