And one day he and Ilya are volunteering at a shelter and he falls in love with a pitbull puppy and adopts her and she gets raised by his cat and picks up cat habits (like turning into a loaf).

Honestly this is what's important about this show. Hudson Williams refuses to show any embarrassment about this role, to the point that it's a bit. His relentless sense of humor is forcing people not to be awkward. People are taking about this show a little tentatively, but they ARE talking about it.
