something about a woc love interest on bridgerton, i eat it up every time 😭

i forgot how exciting it is watching a new season of bridgerton when the love interest is a fresh new character, we are so back.

finally getting around to watching gilmore girls and i am thoroughly enjoying how cozy and upbeat it is but i am also finding it so hard to get past lorelai and how annoying she is when things dont go her way

the summer i turned pretty - THE MOVIE

a wedding movie?! i fear this is going to absolutely ruin me and also be the only thing i talk about for the rest of the year 😭

i love the way adam is just not letting a drop of that wedding champagne go to waste 😭

belly seeing a photo of her younger self and saying that’s she still that girl does not mean she’s regressing or reversing all of the personal growth we’ve seen in her. it’s belly embracing and admiring her younger self after feeling insecure and trying so hard to prove how different she now is (at first because she’s “turned pretty” and then because she’s built a new life in paris).

the idea that in order to grow and to find oneself you need to completely detach yourself from your childhood and your younger self is wild, because who we are now is built from who we were.

and in this case, belly has spent a great deal of time feeling unsure of herself and unsure of what she wants, or more specifically who she wants. but when she sees her old photo, she remembers how she was always sure of her heart even at such a young age and she asserts how deserving of love she has always been- which is why she’s compelled to take a leap of faith and boldly confess how she feels to conrad.

there is something so blissfully beautiful about belly and conrad both growing up and leading different lives far away from cousins and even boston and philadelphia, but the one thing that remains constant is their love for each other 😭

jennifer han, what do you mean we might meet again in cousins? and what do you mean we never see the bonrad wedding? and what do you mean we never see belly’s wedding letter from susannah?!!

the way the show starts with belly having “turned pretty” and trying to assert how different she is from the girl she was before, only to end with belly embracing that’s she’s still who she’s always been— way more satisfying ending than the book ending! 😭

genuinely thought conrad was gonna walk away after seeing belly and benito pull up on that scooter but he didnt and i am so proud haha

quite wild to me that steven says he doesn’t know how to be around conrad because of what happened but taylor found a way to be there for jere while also keeping contact with conrad while ALSO calling each of them out when needed. and this is the same taylor who once despised conrad.

i wish the wedding storyline and everything before it was way shorter because i would’ve loveddd more fleshed out episodes of belly in paris and jere and conrad working things out!! like why did we spend so much time on jere cheating when it all got swept under the rug in the end all because belly and conrad sat together in silence over christmas? 😭

i’m bummed jere and redbird isnt happening too but saying its biphobic for him to end up with denise is wild because that man is still bi even if he ends up with a woman?
