One of the hardest things when you live with someone who has a traumatic brain injury is communication. Half spoken sentences, incomplete thoughts, jumbled word orders, miscomprehensions, and vague descriptions of everything. What’s worse is the person (most of the time) has no idea. Then there’s the frustration and anger.
It can be a bitch to deal with.
Now, I’m thinking of it this way: they’re speaking in riddles like in mythology or fantasy novels, and I’m just the unsuspecting protagonist who needs to decode it to continue the adventure.
