Confrontation and Barrier and Anxiety
Has it ever happened to anyone to have difficulty to face reality or should I say difficulty to confront a situation that we don't want to deal with. I kept thinking about it. I don’t know why it is so difficult for us to face something or some situation knowing nothing bad might happen or at least nothing will happen that we can’t handle. Still we feel there is a barrier in our mind. Feels like something chains up our mind and not letting it move further.
So I did some deep introspection into my life. I think it goes back to some bad incidents or memories that might scare us and we feel that will happen again. And we don’t know how to handle the situation. Even if we speak about it, nobody will understand. So our mind creates a barrier or fear so that we don’t have to feel the way we have felt before.
Judged! Misunderstood! Isolated!
Here is the thing. We can’t change the situation and we don’t want to confront that either.
That building up tension and stress is now turning into anxiety and panic. Whenever you see the situation coming towards you, the anxiety shoots up.
Then what to do? How to resolve it?
FACE THE FEAR
Yup! There is no other option.
Every coin has two sides. But our fear of being misunderstood cannot let us see that. It is our assumption, our thoughts that make those barriers. But we don’t know how much of it’s true, maybe it’s a minor thing, maybe what we are fearing is not there anymore, maybe the situation has changed. But we don’t know that. Because we are confined in a room. The only thing that is hurting is us. So BREAK the WALL. FACE THE FEAR, and decide whether it is worth staying in a barrier or not.
How would we know if we don’t face it.
So BRACE YOURSELF and start a new journey.
