Goku is on Namek fightin that Frieza guy…Goku uhh…flyin or doin somethin over there…
i sincerely believe that anyone who says "oh you can't cook with a microwave, you should only be cooking with the stove / toaster oven, everything you make in a microwave is gross" has never bothered to actually learn how to use the microwave for cooking.
the trick of a microwave is that if you're using the basic settings (like i do), it has all of one cooking temperature. there's no "hotter" or "colder", it's purely time. you put it in, you cook it for a time, and then you move on.
cooking with a microwave can be just as hands on as cooking with a stove, if not more so, but for my comfort levels it's worth it.
cook eggs in 10-20 second bursts and you can make a mean scrambled eggs in a cup. you can boil pasta in a bowl if you get the water ratios right and watch the microwave - if you're willing to risk the mess, set some paper towels down and you can afford a little carelessness. instant mashed potatoes? burst fire it. mixed fried foods? mess with the timings a little and you can cook them all properly. ramen with the eggs and spices? adding stuff in preset timings is built in to the box! there's no question about juggling, i can't forget if i'm adding ingredients now or later, i just do it at THIS burst and keep going!
"but you should just make it on the stove at that point-" no. i have no confidence and don't wanna do extra dishes. i know how to use a microwave. i have confidence in using a microwave. i can manage cleaning up and using a microwave. i don't care about cooking better food, i just want food. that's the point of cooking with the microwave.
you can cook with a microwave is my point. anyone can cook with a microwave is my point. a microwave is a cheaper method, sure.
you can cook with it though.
old fashioned oatmeal in the microwave takes anywhere from 2 to 3 minutes.
Pour 1/2 to 1 cup oats in bowls. Add some dried fruit if you have it and want it. Add some cinnamon if you have it and want it. Add water until it just covers the oats. Put in microwave for 2 minutes to start. Add salt to taste. Add milk if you have it and want it.
Super fast hot meal for when you are very tired but still want something filling.
You can cut a potato into 1/2 inch thick medallions and put them flat on a plate and add salt and/or pepper and/or garlic powder, etc, then microwave for 6 minutes. If you want cheese, add the cheese after the first 6 minutes and add another 1 to 2 minutes. Fast and delicious and still takes very little effort.
After eating my third meal of eggs and potatoes of the day:
Never kill yourself
surely summoning many ghouls would improve this situation
thanks to this workplace harassment training video my coworkers and I now say this to each other on a near-daily basis
