They’re in love your honor ✨️
Some controversial with no chances of ever being real: exists
Me: So I made them an entire 17 arc love story in my mind during my own free time and they got married and now have 3 children
People said Gordon Maeda looked too old as Yatora in the BP live action but you know what? It’s giving college Yatora and I will obviously not complain 💋
Do I think Yatora likes Yotasuke? No. I think he idolizes and envies him so much there’s really no place for love in his heart for him. We already saw Yotasuke is a mirror for Mori and Yatora does like Mori but he doesn’t envy her, he admires her. Because she's not a threat or a difficult level he feels he must surpass.
How I see it Yatora doesn’t really love either because he's too focused on being validated and accepted instead of being truly seen, and ironically he is only seen by Koi and Yuka.
Yatora makes me mad sometimes, why does he idolize Mori to the point of falling for her knowing that they only have 1 thing in common and that relationship could never last? while at the same time having a whole ass model (Yuka) next to him that he still doesn’t see as a potential love interest because she's too busy living her authentic life while he's stuck in a loop of self-doubt and idolization of people that end up being just as human as he is.
Anyway, men I guess
The Blue Period live action is so Yatoyuka it kills me. Wdym Yuka undresses in front of him and Yatora is like: should I look away? 😳
Oh you know Yatora and Yuka are a different type of freak lmaoo
yuka and yatora seven minutes in heaven he comes out smothered in her lipstick (ysl number 8.) ha—ha. i’m going crazy.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Blue Period (Anime) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Ayukawa Yuka/Yaguchi Yatora Characters: Yaguchi Yatora, Ayukawa Yuka, Sumida (Blue Period), Utashima (Blue Period), Koigakubo (Blue Period) Additional Tags: Christmas Fluff, Christmas Party, Fluff, Cuddling & Snuggling, she/her pronouns for Yuka, Yatora’s POV Summary:
It was just supposed to be another Christmas with his friends, but Yatora finds himself as the only one without a date. Not that he cared all that much about dating. But it wouldn’t be so bad to have some company tonight. Perhaps he might just find the perfect person to fill up that spot.
A little YatoYuka Christmas fluff 🥰
Another Yatoyuka piece for the 9 Yatoyuka stans out there lol
I’m having late night YatoYuka feels, so just assume nothing from here on is going to make any sense 😭😭😭
YatoYuka to me is like the biggest promise of a possibility. I haven’t read the manga, so I’m only basing myself on the anime. And in the anime it is pretty obvious to me they couldn’t be a couple because their personalities are basically opposites of one another.
While Yatora embodies a righteous sort of personality where he wants to suffice everyone’s expectations of him and be good at everything he does, Yuka embodies a rebellious freedom where she’s not afraid to disrupt others’ expectations and beliefs as long as she’s being honest with herself. Their personalities are a contrast to one another and they are still resistant to change by the end of the anime. Yuka is still searching for herself and fighting others to be accepted while Yatora still doesn’t know who he is and is still trying to become the person and artists others expect him to be.
However, there was some change to the both of them and that small change came from opening up to one another. Yatora learns to question not only others but himself mostly because of Yuka pushing him to it. She’s the only person in the anime that sees he’s crafted a whole persona in order to please others and challenges him about it. Because she doesn’t like fakeness and deception. She tries so wholly to be herself that seeing others doing the opposite feels alien to her. So she challenges him to be himself for once.
And when it comes to how Yuka changed, she learned to be vulnerable because of Yatora. Although we see her being quite sociable in the anime, most of the time she’s sad or hurt, she’s alone. She doesn’t trust others because she’s knows that most people won’t accept her wholeheartedly and so she doesn’t open up. But Yatora goes after her, because he wants to attend to everyone’s expectations, including hers, so he listens and he tries to give her the comfort she needs. And by the end of the anime the rage in Yuka softens a little bit because of him.
I still think the both of them are a mess. None of them know who they are and they are too different and immature to have a healthy romantic relationship from the start. But that’s the most beautiful thing I see about them is that they are willing to grow and learn from one another. Initial animosity turning to mutual respect and growing both apart and together to eventually come back around and realize how much they have learned from the other and how maybe now they can acknowledge there were different types of feelings involved in their relationship.
And that’s why I think they are a perfect possibility. Because although they have their own things going on in the anime and clearly aren’t interested or ready to be in a relationship with each other, they have been fundamental for the other’s growth and self discovery and I think that once they mature and come to the conclusion that the other was so important in their development, deeper and more honest feelings are such a natural thing that could happen.
Idk, I’m just so emotional about the idea of them relying on each other in fundamental moments in their life and not realizing how life changing it was but then coming back to it and realizing how important and amazing the other is 🥹😭
My heart is melting just thinking about it 😭😭😭😭
Aaaaaahhhhh you know what torture is? Writing the sweetest scene for your favorite couple and not being able to share it with anyone because you don’t know anyone else who ships it except the people who read your fic and you haven’t finished the entire chapter, so you can’t post it on Ao3 and have other people freak out with you!!! I’m dying here!!!
I'm listening...
Yuka’s back in the main manga holy goldfishes I got so excited I drew this throwback to the ocean scene
