Krystal could still hardly believe that she had been asked to the ball. While she had been here for some time, she was still fairly new to the city. She was thankful that she had friends, but she was admittedly shocked when Jan asked her to dance with him. In a moment of being caught off guard by her admittedly handsome friend, she impulsively said yes.

Looking into a mirror and at the pretty blue and gold dress that he had gotten for her so suddenly, she felt sort of bashful. She felt great in the dress, but a swirl of emotions was floating around in her head. She felt excited, yet also shy. She couldn’t quite place a finger on why she felt this way, and it made her feel nervous. She felt herself wanting to impress him.

Doing her hair up one last time to make sure it was perfect, She pushes herself off of the chair she was sitting in and walks into the other room to meet back up with the man that had asked her out. She slips her feet into some heels as she bashfully looks up at him.

“Are you ready to get going?”

Jan became a citizen not too long ago in this strange city. But he’d got a date for the recent citta ball. He’d heard they extended the event since new years had come and gone but he had made sure to look extra extravagant for the ball and made sure his hair was gelled down to perfection. He had went all out and gotten his date, Krystal a full out bluish gold dress. Once he had finished with the cologne and the blue and gold suit, he smiled and nodded at Krystal.

He was slightly red, this time. He hadn’t had a real date since Luger but he’d enjoy the night. A limo came out to pick Jan and Krystal out. “Now let’s go, he had lifted her hand softly and helped her walk out the door to the limo past the snow. He was always a pretty serious guy but he could lighten up because there was no war.

     Weather is an odd thing in the Hive, as it almost acts to have a mind of it’s own. Being an erratic thing, there was still a chill that fell over each sector as the end of the year approaches closer and closer. Whether one celebrated Christmas, or their own world’s holiday, there was no denying that stores, streets and homes were slowly beginning to appear more festive. The cold arrives and loved ones cuddle closer, as the skies turn grey and threaten to spill its contents. Whether it is rain or snow… it is still too early to tell.

     Among the decorations, the holly and the mistletoe, one could find posters starting to appear on bulletin boards, the sides of brick walls, on coffee shop windows and grocery store exits. Whether this event was turning into tradition could be left to it’s citizen’s to decide, but it was happening once more.

                                                    The Citta Winter Ball

Hello and Season’s Greetings!

I am very excited and happy to announce that this year’s Citta Winter Ball is not a rumor, but in fact in full motion! The scientists have graciously allowed for Busy Bee’s to host the ball, and have provided the means to do so! Lucky us!

Now, I am going to go over a few things here, but most things will be addressed in the actual Ball Event post when it begins. In-Character wise the Ball is, in fact, a New Year’s Eve ball! It takes place on that Thursday, and ends on the new year! But the event out of character wise will take place that entire week. I decided on a New Year’s Ball because this way everyone can have their christmas threads already started with so people won’t be over loaded and people tend to be out of school during this time. 

The theme is going to be “A Night Among the Stars!” A night filled with stars and dancing off into galaxies beyond! It is a public event, so everyone is free to come! Go with friends, a date, or in whatever fashion you wish! 

More details will come as the ball comes closer. This is just an in-character announcement! If you do feel the need to ask questions, please send them to the Busy Bee’s blog! Do not direct them to the masterlist or Ava please! To check on any updates, look at the Busy Bee’s blog or #ca ball!

The former ISA solder blinked when a package showed up marked for him. He took the package and picked it up and carefully ripped open the package. There was a phone inside.

Jan was careful with the phone and looked over it, it was a phone and that was good enough for the man.

He took it out of its box and stared at it, turning the thing on.

Once the phone took the time to load up, he started to type a message:

this is a blog that will not judge you based on your ability to be grammatically correct / fluent in the english language. meaning, if you’re having difficulty replying to a thread because of language barriers — i will be 100% empathetic. meaning, i won’t reblog posts critically bashing roleplayers based on their writing style, because i don’t know the struggles that each person goes through in regards to writing. meaning, i won’t nitpick little grammatical errors in your reply.

please don’t ever feel inferior because english is your second language or you have a disability that keeps you from formulating “the perfect sentence.” the fact that you’re trying is enough, and you don’t have to prove anything to anyone.

I muttered something “Damn war…”

Hm… a past adventure? Most of my missions had been in the middle of  wartime, but, otherwise…

I remember a time when we were in the middle of yet another fight. The ISA was in a struggle against the Higs (Helghast for those who don’t know). I held a communicator at the time in my hands. I couldn’t hear myself think over the various sprays of gunfire over the battlefield and grunted at another “ANYONE ELSE RECIEVING?!”

I muttered another comment at any one of my team that would listen “We are getting cut off HERE!” Halghasts kept falling and I lost one of my team members. I mentally cursed “SHIT” as i turned to look at the downed man. The man next to team said “What the hell do we do?”

I gave commands to everyone and noticed a man at the corner of my eye by the name of Travis Sanchez, he ran in the middle of the battlefield, yet he wasn’t killed. Not a smart move by him but at least he made it to our team. However, he did know the area that he covered and had minefields covering the lines of Helghasts trying to break through.

He heard my command and then he was off..

letting y’all know because i know some people get a lot of anxiety over this, if i ever message you using the new IM feature i do not expect an immediate response, even if you are online.

i often IM people because it’s convenient and quick and i might use it now rather than asks so it won’t get eaten like the ask box likes to do, and when people IM me i often times take a while to reply because of my own anxiety and introversion. you do not have to respond to me as soon as you’re free. you can take all the time in the world you need.
