The Way Home has some serious explaining to do.
The way home finale was *so close* to being perfect. Curse you Hallmark for canceling it a season earlier than planned! That said, I still really enjoyed it!
Overall, for a hallmark show, this was a good one. Def worth a rewatch!
More thoughts about the finale under the cut!
one of my family member has been rewatching outlander and i'm coping by drawing claire and her babies all together
So, Cait was upset/mad because they had shot the part with Claire actively using her light and healing powers and they didn't use any of that.
If that's the case I totally get it.
Why is Fanny hearing the buzzing We get it that she’s ✨Faith✨’s daughter… but we do *not* need to add another time traveller to the mix… NOBODY travels in the most recent book (that i remember?)… Are the show-runners doing it just to solidify that Fanny is a Fraser?!? 🤦♀️
I feel like that conversation they had with Fanny and Claire could have been a good point to bring up the rock buzzing. I know it was meant to be an emotional scene but like I really have an issue with how many unfinished plots we had this season… like if were committing to Fanny being their grandchild then we would have need to close that out fully!
So are we gonna find out in BOMB season 2 (bc that teaser looks an awful lot like they go to France, and Claire's parents 'die' in a car accident so I don't think they make it back) that they're Faith's adoptive lace making parents lol?
So did Frances never tell anyone about the weird green rock? Like, she just thought, oh I must be going crazy hearing that buzzing, better not tell anyone ever 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Claire’s heart starts to glow blue right before the ghost scene — as she’s calling him home to her via blue light, he calls her home to him via the stones. In doing so, he closes the time loop, and together they defy death itself. 😭💙
There will never be a love story like theirs again. Never.
I love them so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I love him lmao 🤣
After everything that happened in S8 Ep7, I went back and looked at the Fergus scenes in Book 9 and I noticed a few things:
1. The line about Fergus wanting to rather be killed for something that matters is in the book, but is said to Roger instead of Jamie. Fergus sounds very… causal when he says it, and even Bree notices that and thinks that Marsali looks more concerned about the danger.
2. Fergus’ reunion with Germain is so sweet. He immediately embraces his son, cries with joy and calls Germain his son and his baby. “I see you are a man now, and yet when I look at you—always, always—I see you as I first saw you.” Fergus is such a great dad. 🥺
3. Fergus is really so cool in the book… we see him confront Percy and bluntly tell him to fuck off while saying that he’s already the son of a great man. And his response to the fire in the printshop that could’ve killed his family is to go out and tell the whole street exactly what happens and what he intends to do to the people who had attacked his family and his livelihood, to see if anyone present knew anything about the attack. I love how clever he is. And near the end of the book he shoots the two men who invaded the printshop with a gun that was a special two barrelled canon.
4. Fergus and Marsali actually send all of their kids except the twin babies to the Ridge because it’s getting too dangerous for them to stay in the printshop. The letter the kids bring with them and Fanny’s recounting of what Germain told her about the incident that caused Fergus and Marsali to send the kids away (and Claire’s reaction to it) feel very ominous and makes me wonder if perhaps Fergus will die in book 10 after all. “I cannot leave undone the Work of Freedom to which I am called…”

Someone explain it to me like Im in 2nd grade. Richardson I know is a time traveler and wants the rebels to loose the revolution.. but I dont remember why he is kidnapping John?
