FREE WORKSHOP! Set the date my loves, on Wednesday 23rd June at 17:00 I'll be hosting the first of Lucid Tales' queer storytelling workshops: Gendertelling: Finding Euphoria! This workshop is all about exploring the stories we tell ourselves every day, diving into the tales we've been told that shape our lives and sense of self, and discovering what stories we WANT to tell! All genders (and those without) are welcome in this space, whether cis, trans, nonbinary, questioning or any other flavour, however I will be holding half the spaces specifically for folks from gender minorities. This will be a strictly moderated space, and transphobia, homophobia, racism, ableism or any other form of punching down will be dealt with. Come to talk, come to listen, come to share. This is a vulnerable topic and will be treated gently and with compassion. It's PRIDE MONTH! So as it often does, it's taken me a while to get my ass in gear this month but now I'd like to announce the beginning of a series of free queer storytelling workshops I'll be running throughout both June and July! They'll range between storytelling for performance and storytelling in the everyday, from gender as narrative to queer tales throughout the ages to the stories no one told you you could have. Spaces will be on a first come, first served basis but I will be reserving at least half the slots of any workshop for queer folks. So as you can see, there have been some changes around here. Panmorrigan is looking a hell of a lot shinier these days, we might even have solar power and running water sometime soon. It's been a long old slog on this build, learning from the ground up! I'm going to be branching out in a few new directions with Lucid, including starting back up on the Bedtime Stories (most likely one a week this time to avoid repeating that burnout!) and getting my ass in gear on setting up more workshops while festivals are largely off the table. I've had some feedback that five a week is too many for people to keep up with, and the whole aim of this is to relax you, not stress you out trying to keep up! 🎊So from the 11th January you can expect 2-3 Bedtime Stories every week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! 🎊 You'll be better able to keep up with the bedtime tales, and I'll be able to start offering more varied content, including requests for some scarier material 😉 I'll be taking the next week off as my winter break, and back at it from Monday 11th January!
