Autocade Year of Cars 2025
Since I was last here regularly, I launched the Autocade yearbooks. Autocade began life as an online car encyclopædia, and last year we looked at ways to extend the brand. The yearbook, now called Autocade Year of Cars, was launched. The 2025 number is available in hardcover. You can see more on our online bookshop, Libriz.

We have just turned 20 years old—no mean feat given how websites come and go. Instead of telling the usual story about our first years online, publisher @jackyan talks about how audiences have changed, and how Lucire’s foray into print didn’t go as well as originally planned.
Kees Van Dongen

Kees van Dongen was a Dutch painter and one of the Fauves. He gained a reputation for his sensuous, at times garish, portraits. His distinctive style of painting was influenced both by the bright colors of Fauvism and by the satirical drawings he had made for newspapers earlier in his career.

Redressing the balance When H&M opened in New Zealand, local mainstream media were happy to run negative stories on third-world labour. Yet with Topshop expanding, no one seems to have run this newsworthy item here on British MPs voting to strip its boss of his knighthood at the same time. Looks like it’s up to us to balance things out.
