anyather update on what plural apps ive settled on using ^_^ i got hivemind yesterday just to test it out and i think its my favorite out of all of the others ive tried for keeping track of whos in front. lighthouse is another favorite for in-system communication and building our inner world. i think using them in tandem is what ill be doing from now on. also adding on that i have been using pluralkit to talk in discord servers and thats also nice for picking apart each alter's speech patterns easily. along with helping friends know who theyre talking to

the DSM can occasionally be a helpful tool in understanding your psyche. the DSM was also written by People. and quite famously, people have biases. both of these things are true at once. stop deciding how to treat people based on what the american psychiatric association specifically thinks about different neurological makeups.

yes, the people who wrote it are very smart and have a lot of credentials. no, they do not know everything. no, they are not free from making assumptions or holding western ideals that don't apply to a majority of human experience. most of the time, anything in that book about any specific disorder was written by someone who has only ever looked at the disorder as an outsider.

you know yourself better than some book does. use the resources but trust yourself first.
