Research suggests that the combination of SSRIs and NSAIDs could cause brain haemorrhage

As someone who is both a psychology student and actively takes an SSRI this is of great concern to me. People suffering from mild chronic pain often opt for NSAIDs but in combination with SSRIs this could be dangerous. NSAIDs include Ibuprofen and aspirin, some of the most commonly used pain meds. A better option for someone on SSRIs would be Paracetamol, as this drug is not an NSAID, however it does bear other risks, as nearly all medications do. Please look into this if you take both SSRIs and NSAIDs, as I feel I this isn’t given enough attention.

Cerazette FtM Transgender

Has anyone got any experience with Cerazette as a treatment before Testosterone? I’ve been prescribed it by my endocrinologist until I can take testosterone but I’ve heard a few bad things about it from women. I obviously want cerazette to alleviate my dysphoria and not make it worse. Any advice would be appreciated.

I fcking hate being trans

I’m 18, been in gender therapy for a year and now eligible for HRT which I won’t be getting cuz my parents won’t allow it :))))) my mum simply doesn’t believe I’m trans - even after numerous conversations with my therapist and other specialists - and my dad is fully ignoring me. I know that “they’ll come around” and “give them time” are important things to remember but it’s been a few years for my mom and she is just as ignorant as on day one. God I wish I had never even been born.

There is another option here. I don’t know what country you live in, but you won’t have to listen to your parents forever. Once you move out, you can do what you want without their input. Because the truth is, they might not come around. Some parents do. Some don’t. But as an adult, you have power over your own life,and once you can live separate from them, it will be easier for you to start hormones.

I’m so sorry things suck with your parents right now. It’s not easy when the people closest to us refuse to accept us for who we are. Just remember that whether or not they do, you should be able to transition eventually. There comes a point where we don’t have to listen to our parents and can instead do what’s best for ourselves, and you are getting close to that point.

I wish you the best of luck, and hope you can start transition soon.

Mirror selfies are my thing. I’ve had my @gc2b binder for about a week now and it’s literally changed my life so much!! I do still get misgendered but it happens way less often now compared to before. Surprisingly I even passed while wearing it to the beach, which is what made me the happiest this week. My parents are still annoying pricks but I won’t let them get to me. Thank you @gc2b

My first binder finally arrived today!!

after being stuck in customs for a spicy 4 weeks. I don’t think I ever have or will have payed 30€ custom charges this happily. My mom awkwardly walked up to me to ask if I liked it and my dad is still pretending this ‘trans situation’ doesn’t exist. It’s good tho like I don’t mind him all that much because frankly he doesn’t know me at all. I’m definitely too happy about the binder to care about my dad, and my mom is trying her best which is all I could ask for.

This shirt is my favourite but I haven’t worn it in 2 years cuz I didn’t like how it showed off my chest. It was the first thing I tried on wearing the binder and I am i n l o v e.

I’m incredibly thankful my mom got me it and I’ve made a promise to myself that one day I’ll make someone else this happy by getting them their first binder.

Yo I’m back and finally accepting myself

So for the past year I was like trans? Nah fam I’m a lesbian™️ - look at my womanly self doing womanly things and loving other women.

That went on until like maybe 3 months ago when it all just started kicking back in. I had been suppressing THE SHIT outta the dysphoria I was feeling and even started dressing quite femme which I had legit never done before. So yeah at some point it all just came back up and hit me in the face like an oncoming truck. I had a massive breakdown in front of my very concerned girlfriend and ended up shakily telling her “surpriseee your girlfriend might actually be your boyfriend”. I’m lucky to have her cuz opposing my expectations she just held me tight and promised to help me get through this shit. She mentioned that she’d been suspecting something was off as I’d had several panic attacks over things as “simple” as dressing up during the course of our relationship.

I actually also decided to have another conversation with my mom (the first one like 2 years ago didn’t go so well lmao) and this time I think I actually got somewhere. I’ve been binding unsafely for a while so she got over her hate of binders and ordered me one (still hasn’t arrived tho - the perks of living in Europe..).

I’ve been put on the waiting list for gender therapy & hrt and I’m having my initial appointment with a gender therapist tomorrow. I’m turning 18 in a few months and I’m hoping to be able to socially transition by then. For now I’m still struggling a lot, but it feels a lot better to let people know.

Moral of the story: don’t try to suppress who you are if you already know it - it’s gonna come hit you in the face one day.
