Broke Girl’s Guide to Hellenistic Polytheism #1

#1 ancient.eu

Great nonprofit dedicated to providing information on various ancient civilizations and their religions. I’ve found a lot of great information about Hellenic Polytheism. I’ve also found articles with excerpts from different ancient works on the religion. Such as Hesiod on the Birth of the Gods. It’s really hard to find each article that pertains to the religion and the history of ancient greeks, but I’m planning to do a deep dive, where I find all the articles I can, organize them into what I view the best order, and share the links to you guys here. But of course that will take some time.

#2 The Illiad of Homer

I found an ebook PDF of the Illiad of Homer from Project Gutenberg, which is basically an online library providing free ebooks. If I find any other good ebooks on there referencing Hellenic Polytheism, I’ll let you guys know, but so far I haven’t found any.

#3 Learnreligions.com

They have an overview of the religion and they have some book recommendations for if you’re interested to dive more in depth. Unfortunately in the list are pretty much all books you’ll have to pay for if you want to read it. Except for the Odyssey. Paying for those books isn’t a bad thing, I just know if you’re like me, you probably can’t afford to buy them. Hence why I’m making this list.
