I love you, Mom. I love you, too.
Nathan Parsons as Jackson Kenner in The Tale of Two Wolves The Originals Season 5 Episode 12 gifset.
I was so happy to see him back. I love that they didn’t just sweep him under the rug and forget about him.

Neil deGrasse Tyson schools shitty science Twitter account in 6 tweets.
Women are not unfamiliar with being the target of sexist, misogynistic jokes. They’re usually passed down from mediocre male “comedians” to mediocre men who chortle and then curl up by themselves in bed to watch hentai porn as the cry and then fall asleep in a pool of drool.
On Aug. 24, national treasure and American astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson came across this particular “joke” on Twitter by an account so creatively named @SciencePorn.
Yes, it’s such a subtle, hilarious joke because you know, women. Women are MOODY and BITCHY. Haha, it’s so FUNNY. Anyways, deGrasse Tyson did not think the “joke” was funny and he proceeded to explain why in a series of scathing and wonderful tweets. Grab your popcorn!
Yes, HAHA.
STEM fields are notoriously difficult for women, according to a study published in 2014: “researchers surveyed 666 field scientists from 32 different disciplines (mostly anthropology and archaeology) and found roughly two-thirds have experienced some form of sexual harassment, including inappropriate sexual remarks, comments about appearance, or sexist jokes. One in five reported being the victim of sexual assault—defined as physical sexual harassment—and unwanted or nonconsensual sexual contact.”
For some people, jokes like this are innocuous but they in fact create environments which make women and other marginalized folks feel unsafe. They’re a reminder that no matter how hard we work, no matter what we do, there are men who want to show us that we’re not welcome and that male supremacy indeed still exists.
It is comforting to have allies like deGrasse Tyson, may there be many more.
