Food, usually. So that sometimes includes fungi. Nature, too. I'm also a pretty big animal lover even if I don't have a pet of my own. I think I'm kind of known to be a slightly easily excitable person so it doesn't take too much haha.

I don't think it's difficult to sit in silence if you have that someone you know and care about and feel comfortable in their space. Sort of like in Bridgerton with Francesca and Lord Kilmartin. I think with the right person it's just...nice.

I haven't either. I don't feel like any of the objects are meant for me really. And I'm okay with that. They're too powerful for the average person. But that's also very generous of you to want to share too.

Thank you for saying that. I know it’s kind of silly but I do often worry that people might think of me in certain ways for still figuring myself out. Sometimes it feels as though i should know so much more about myself at this point, but I still struggle to entirely learn myself. Like there are pieces missing that no matter how hard I try I can’t find, or if I do think I’ve found them, I can’t put it into a place.

That must be hard, being at odds with your family over something like that. Especially if you it’s something you’ve always been passionate about.

It's hard to say to not care what people think because it is a very difficult thing to shut everyone else out. Sometimes you need that input to understand things better and improve. But also, you should take measured amounts of that, you know? You know yourself best, even if you haven't quite figured it out. We're all still finding pieces of ourselves and learning new things every day.

Figs are delicious. You can have them as a tasty salad or you can cook them in cane sugar and then they're a tasty sweet treat. It does feel pretty personal.

Oh I love all things cooking so fungi that are edible are more my thing. The luminous kind not so much, but I'm learning a lot about them through choosing this name!

At least for me, with my vast dating experience~, the quiet moments are some of the best. It's hard for a lot of people to sit in silence, but if you find someone who can, it's kind of nice to just have them around.

You know, I've never really desired any of Merlin's objects. I would probably go with the holy grail though. It's kind of the least destructive and to have unlimited good things to share would be pretty great. I don't think I'd keep that item all to myself.

You know, I never thought of it that way, but you're totally right. I guess that might make me have a higher threshold to reach to get to that real companion ship relationship type love.

Well, I'm sort of stuck in the 70s as far as music goes, I could play disco songs on repeat constantly if I wanted to and not get tired of it. As far as modern stuff, I kind of listen to Top 40s whatever. Even though I'm a guy, I can admit that I like a little Sabrina Carpenter here and there. Also he's blowing up right now but Bad Bunny.

That's really great that you have such a good relationship with your family. As far as horses, they've got a real personality to them. They kind of remind me of large cats.

Yeah, I mean I know its an ideal situation, but I'd like to find something like that that I can contribute to in a relationship.

That is definitely a struggle. It's hard to break the cycle when its become so routine.

I think my favorite lesson is one I try to apply to a lot of relationships, friendships and otherwise. That communication is very important. It's sometimes easier to bottle things up than speak up for what is bothering you at the time. But ultimately it doesn't help in the long run.

And sort of in the same way, as a part two to that, going into things, you need to be clear about what you both want and don't think that something that's important to you will suddenly become important to them. No one needs to be 'fixed' just everyone has their own way of thinking and their own priorities in life and that should be respected.

I feel the exact same about that. I'm glad that this letter writing stuff happened because it lets me get to know people so that maybe if I find the right person, I can really make that time for them.

I'm very glad it's happened too. I feel like I've been able to enjoy some really nice conversation, and it pushes aside some of that awkwardness you can have in person and dealing with icebreakers and just... dive into what you really want.

I do! I'm honestly not entirely sure I'm very good at relaxing sometimes, but it is nice to think of a peaceful moment like that after work. Calm and comfortable with that special someone.

I don’t think anything provokes me to be cruel. I don’t do it to be that way I just come off that way.

I’ve been trying to be less cruel and more understanding and genuine but we are all works in progress!

Perfect Friday night dates really could be anything! I love a spontaneous under your nose date too. I think if we were to stay in town for a date the perfect one could be - grabbing coffee and going to the stables for a trail ride. Charcuterie by the lake with some adlib type word game.

Or really I am an out to dinner kind of person! So one hint of a reservation and I am already planning my outfit!

Well, I think its hard when you can't control how you come off. You can try and maybe explain your thinking a bit better to make people understand but ultimately some people just keep the impressions they have of you.

I have to admit I've never been on a horse before. Don't get me wrong I think they're great creatures and have amazing personalities, but I've just never really lived in an area where I needed to?

Ohhh, charcuterie by the lake sounds delicious. I love a picnic. I like a night in but I also very much like taking people out to restaurants. Finding all the best spots and treating people to a really good time. I'm definitely the type to make a reservation somewhere.

I’ve got to be honest, I’m not sure where to start. I’m glad to have another opportunity to speak to someone new, but it feels like there’s even more pressure than before now that we’re halfway through, doesn’t it? Or maybe that’s just me.

I was going to suggest some kind of quickfire ‘getting to know me’ thing, but I think that feels a bit too much like being at school when everyone had to say a fun fact about themselves, so maybe not.

What I will say is that I love your username. I think it’s enchanting. I remember learning about bioluminescent mushrooms in biology, but I’ll be honest, I can’t really remember much about them. I suppose I’m a fake mushroom fan.

I really like the feeling of your name! Warming hearts is the best way to be and figs are delicious. Everyone's food themed usernames are always so interesting to me. Hard to say if it relates to them or they just like the food.

I'm not going to let something like that get me down for long. Honestly I have a very strong will, and I'm overall a pretty positive person. That didn't work out, but that doesn't mean these letters won't! And I've been able to write with some lovely people, including you of course.

A good cuddle does make the day better doesn't it? And you're extra sweet for saying that. I think you're a very great person too, and I look forward to reading every email you send me.

That is a cycle I definitely can understand. My job just demands a lot from me, but I would still try to make time for that quality time and to let them know that I care about them.

That does sound really nice. Maybe I can help you season or bring the supplies or be a good assistant in the kitchen at least. And we can still make good conversation. It does sound really nice that way.

I think after a long day too, sitting down together on the couch and cuddling sounds nice. Maybe we watch a movie together or a show, that sounds really good to me. Or even if we're both reading something but still staying close. I don't know. That's the first thing I can think of where I'd really feel especially content.

I think if the right person comes along, they could make enough of an effort to make your life a little less complicated. The idea of a relationship to me is that you complement each other's lives and while you add something positive, you also take away something negative to help with life's complications. That's kind of what companionship is right?

I might be too good at casual. Maybe I've become just used to my own life with my own things. I've had a love or two. They burned hard and fast and eventually just burned right out.

That's such a sweet idea, I love that. I'm not sure I've ever experienced that outside of novels and movies, but I think its a good idea to hold.

It can be hard to change your life once you're set in a pattern, even when part of you wants to. Change is one of the most difficult things I've found because it can be so easy to find all the ways to justify why the risk isn't worth it, especially when things are going well enough.

Aren't they cool? Honestly, I don't think I knew so much about mushrooms until I made this username. Everyone keeps asking me mushroom questions and while I know some and I can figure out cooking them, I'm not exactly a scientist. There's been plenty of Googling. I might become an expert after this though.

I try to help people through my job. Spread the warmth when people need it. Maybe it's not the first thing that comes to mind. I don't work for a charity or anything, but I do try to give people experiences to make their lives a bit better. Comes probably with being in the hospitality industry. My profession is my passion and with it comes with a passion for making someone's day just a bit better.

I think that's wonderful. Working in hospitality can be a lot because sometimes there are definitely people you either don't to or don't deserve to have you be hospitable toward. It's so nice to hear you have passion for your job.

I like my job well enough. It isn't a career I ever grew up dreaming about or anything, but it's what I've done for a long time and I like to think I'm pretty good at it most of the time. It can be a little rewarding at times, but I don't think its my passion. If I'm honest, I don't know what my passion job would be. It isn't something I've ever thought about too much because my job has always just been something I do to make sure I keep a roof over my head and food in my stomach.

I've also done it for so long, sometimes it feels like its the only thing I'm good at and if I were to pivot to something else I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Did you always know that your job was something you were passionate about, or did the passion come once you started that career?
