Wasn't satisfied with my first sketch of KH4 Sora (It was my first time drawing that game specific design), so I had to give it another try.

whoever i know that has worked with disney in some capacity, especially in the last 10 or so years, tells me they are an absolute nightmare

I really do appreciate kingdom heart’s commitment to using old cutscenes in flashbacks. Even if the graphics have since gone through a massive change like in kh3. You want an Aqua memory? Let’s go experience the PSP together again then. More games should do this, it gets funnier the older the series is. Can you imagine a Zelda game that chronologically happens after Zelda 1 and Link has a flashback to his 8-bit self

Haven't seen this either, just people analyzing Sora's keyblade (which fire and water could either mean Moana or Elemental) but there's one more keyblade in the trailer.

This is the best one I could get of the end, looks kind of stock, similar to Rainfell but in more of a crown shape

It also has a look similar to the Missing Link keyblades and was my immediate thought upon looking at the two new characters.

But I know it's not the same keyblade so this is all just design comparison

The boy looks like Noctis. It even has the crescent moon in the middle portion of the hill. It's actually a cool hilt, ugly.

And lastly the Keychain has a star of sorts, four pointed wayfinder looking thing.

I think Square Enix should not put Star Wars and Marvel and Moana in Kingdom Hearts but instead do my idea which is the Disney direct-to-video sequels please I want a The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride world and a The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea world. I love you Lion King 2 and Little Mermaid 2 no one understands you like I do ❤️.

god i love the Roxas fight in kh2. he's gonna kick your fucking ass while you listen to the saddest song you've ever heard

it's a gnarly boss fight scored like a heavy emotional beat. which it is. this is a boy who should not exist fighting for his personhood against the boy who unknowingly created and took everything from him.

we don't even see Roxas' face. we see the keyblades that represent Riku and Kairi, we see the stained glass depictions of Sora and the people who mean the most to him.

even in Roxas' fight, he doesn't really exist.

but you can't process any of that in the moment, because all of your attention has to be on not getting obliterated by him.

Is it bad that I feel slightly bad that I keep coming to the library to use its quietness and its desk space and its pleasant atmosphere for writing but I never check out books?

Why would you feel bad? You’re using the library for one of its intended purposes. The desks, WiFi, space etc are LITERALLY there for you to do exactly what you’re doing AND each time you go in you add to the foot traffic numbers that prove hey people are coming in to use our stuff mr. government so keep funding us.

Confirmed by another public librarian. One of the stats we track is "WiFi usages"

That is, we track number of sessions/devices using it over time.

The library is not about snooping on what you're doing with that WiFi. Libraries respect privacy.

I think it's a bit sad that with more and more public spaces vanishing, people are feeling bad about not "buying" stuff to "earn" their time at a library.

A library is like a park, you're allowed to just. Exist in it.

I check out books every 4 weeks, when the learning period from my current books is up, but I go much more frequently with my kid to just sit there and read to them, and that's okay. In my school days, we'd go and do our research for presentations there, just reading, never checking out.

A library is a space to just exist.

So a year or so ago, we added some new desklets at our library, in areas where we noticed that people gravitated to but didn't have the right furnishing to use them in the way they wanted to.

The first few weeks of having the new furniture were absolutely filled with excited librarians whispering to each other, "Look! Someone's using the desklet in the back corner!" and "casually" walking by to enjoy the sight like wildlife researchers who had successfully baited a particularly elusive rare bird. Nobody cared if those people checked anything out or not. There was a need! We saw the need! We filled the need! Hooray!

WE PUT THE THING THERE TO BE USED. USE THE THING.

To add: please use the thing, in any way you can, because the more people they can show using services on stats the more funding they can ask for. Even if you’re just connecting to the wifi while stood at the bus stop outside, even if you just wander around pretending to browse the books while waiting for the bus, it still helps.

If you can’t do a lot, do a little.
